A Wonderful Family-Friendly Beach Resort Experience We had a fantastic leisure trip with family at this beautiful holiday resort. The property offers a wide range of amenities, making it perfect for both relaxation and fun. The multiple pools are a delight, especially for kids, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. The sea-view rooms are elegant and well-maintained, offering stunning views that truly elevate the experience. One of the highlights is the easy access to the beach from the back side of the resort, where you can walk straight into the sea and enjoy exciting water sports like parasailing, boating, and more. Overall, it was a memorable stay filled with joy and relaxation. Highly recommended for families looking for a mix of comfort, adventure, and scenic beauty.

My second stay at this resort. It's very very nice. All of the staff are kind and welcoming. Breakfast is a real delight. There are families here so you will have youngsters in the pool but it's a very nice place to stay. A very nice resort for sure. I will be back! I love staying here.

I like Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang. The hotel is located in the heart of Batu Ferringhi, so you can walk to the night market easily in the evening. There are many food vendors around the hotel if you want to eat outside of hotel. I booked for a twin beds room. The bed is bigger than other hotels' standard single bed size. The room itself is spacious and clean with an amazing view to the pools, garden and ocean. I am very happy with the room. The breakfast has many varieties and delicious. I like how they serve breakfast until 11 AM, so I don't have to wake up too early for breakfast. It's holiday, so I want to enjoy my sleep a little bit more. The staffs are all friendly, polite and attentive here. I have smooth check-in and allowed to enter the room early before 2 PM and late check-out at 1 PM. Thanks to the front desk staff! The most wonderful thing about this hotel is its vast garden, plenty of tropical pools and direct access to the beach behind the hotel. The garden is beautiful with many kind of trees. I even enjoy strolling in the garden quietly in the night to feel the breeze and listen to the waves. In the morning, I go to the beach which has gentle waves and soft sands, so it is suitable to soak in the sea, relax and enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean. I wish I can return to this resort again in the future. I highly recommend this hotel for rest and relaxation in natural environment.

I was here with my whole family, we've driven all the way from KL. My husband and I have specifically booked a room with a seaview. When we arrived, we were told there were no seaview left. For people like us that lives in the city, our main purpose for our vacation is to wake up to a seaview. This was booked 3 months in advance as well. I was so disappointed. The least they could do was to inform in advance so we could have stayed else where. But being there with our small kids, we didn't have a choice but to accept the room facing the road. I believe that our room was given away to a bigger group booking. So if youre planning to stay here just know they might bully the smaller bookings to accommodate the bigger ones. I regretted not following my original plan to stay in park royale instead. Very disappointed with this "5 star" service.
