We had a fantastic stay at Shangri-La Dubai. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection that rotated daily, a great juice bar, and an egg station. The noodle station was a bit underwhelming for us—Singapore standards! Our room was spacious even with a rollaway bed, and housekeeping was very attentive. Horizon at Level 42 is great for a drink and a view of the Burj Khalifa. All hotel staff were excellent, especially Khodarahm, who went above and beyond. The location is very convenient, just a 6-minute walk to the metro red line. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shangri-la Dubai, and I must say, it was a refreshing reminder of what true hospitality should feel like. As a former hotel manager, I’ve experienced my fair share of establishments, and I had almost lost hope for the old standards of service where staff genuinely embody the culture of hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The valet service was prompt and welcoming, setting the tone for what was to come. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with the staff displaying a warmth that made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. The breakfast offerings were top-notch, showcasing not only quality but also creativity. A special thanks to the attentive and knowledgeable chef and waiter team who went above and beyond to ensure my sister in law, who has celiac disease, dining experience was safe and she had few choices to eat. She was just blown away. One of the highlights of our stay was the personalized handwritten welcome card and gift sent by Rima. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel special as a guest and truly reflected the hotel’s commitment to providing a memorable experience. Overall, our stay was nothing short of fantastic. It’s rare to find a place that excels in all aspects of hospitality these days, but this hotel has certainly rekindled my faith. We recently stayed at Shangri-La Dubai, and overall, we had a really lovely experience. The location is honestly perfect — central, convenient, and ideal if you want to explore Dubai comfortably. The service throughout our stay was warm, professional, and attentive. The room was spacious and well-maintained. We chose the Burj Khalifa view room — it was nice and definitely special waking up to that skyline, though I’d say it was good rather than extraordinary. The hotel has two pools — one on the 4th floor and a rooftop infinity pool. The 4th-floor pool was great and more comfortable to relax in. However, the rooftop infinity pool was a bit of a disappointment — quite small and strongly smelling of chlorine, which took away from the experience. Another thing to note is access to the 42nd floor (Horizon Club/Level 42 lounge). As regular guests, we weren’t initially allowed access and were told it required an additional charge. However, after a polite conversation with the receptionist — and mentioning that it was our anniversary and that we had stayed with Shangri-La last year as well — she kindly offered us complimentary access, including afternoon high tea and happy hour. That gesture truly made our stay feel special and appreciated. The vegetarian options overall were somewhat limited, but the breakfast buffet was very good, with a decent variety of vegetarian dishes across cuisines. And the view from the 42nd floor? Absolutely worth it. You can see the iconic Dubai skyline, the buzzing highway intersections, glittering skyscrapers, and of course, Burj Khalifa standing tall — it’s especially beautiful in the evening. Despite a few small drawbacks, we had a great time overall. The hospitality and the location really stood out, and the anniversary gesture added a memorable touch to our stay

As of writing this review, this was my second time coming to this hotel with my Mom for our Dubai vacation. Overall great hotel and service. The view of the Burj Khalifa is great, especially when you are in the pool area. The shot is absolutely incredible. I will say in our second time here, there clearly has been some changes. Our first time we had an amazing experience in the cafe area where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The people working there before were incredible. I especially want to give a shout out to Nazifa who is no longer there and wasn't there when we went the second time. She was incredible and sweet to us in serving us. That experience alone made our first experience at the hotel that much better. Many of the new waiters weren't really that attentive. Never would really acknowledge us and would take a long time to get anything for us at the table. But overall its a great hotel to stay at if you really want to hit the hot tourist zones in downtown Dubai.

From the moment I walked in, greeted by that signature, understated fragrance and genuinely warm smiles, I felt instantly at ease. The room was a sanctuary of calm – spotless, incredibly comfortable, and with a breathtaking view of the Burj Khalifa that never got old. What truly set it apart, though, was the people. Every request was met with a "certainly, madam" and a sincere desire to help, from the concierge who secured a last-minute dinner reservation to the housekeeping staff who left thoughtful little touches. The location is perfect, right on Sheikh Zayed Road, putting you in the heart of the city's energy yet letting you retreat into utter tranquillity. Whether it was sipping coffee at the Dunes Cafe or watching the sunset from the pool, the entire atmosphere was one of refined, unpretentious luxury. It felt less like a corporate chain and more like a impeccable service. I left not just rested, but genuinely delighted – it’s the hotel you find yourself recommending to friends, because it simply gets everything right.
