A Peaceful Retreat at Shangri-La Chiang Mai 🌿 the resort offers a perfect sanctuary in the heart of Chiang Mai, combining convenience, comfort, and tranquility. Despite its central location, the hotel provides a peaceful atmosphere that is ideal for relaxation, meditation, and recharging both the body and mind. 🧘🏻‍♀️✨ The service throughout the hotel is truly exceptional. Every staff member is warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcomed and cared for. Their hospitality reflects the renowned Shangri-La standard of excellence. The food is another highlight of the stay. From authentic Northern Thai specialties to traditional local dishes, every meal is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor, allowing guests to experience the rich culinary heritage of Chiang Mai.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and genuine welcome we received. The service throughout our stay was outstanding—every staff member we interacted with showed sincere care and attentiveness. A special mention goes to Khun James at the concierge, who was especially helpful and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, particularly the bar and breakfast. The rooms were beautifully appointed and truly impressive. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Extremely friendly service upon check in and throughout the stay. Our checkin agent Praewa went above and beyond and helped us with upgrade to a better room. Room was decorated specially for our child’s birthday. There was a giant teddy bear which they loved along with fruit platter. Grateful for room upgrade. Food: we stayed at Marriott just prior to this and the quality was not as good. We had breakfast buffet twice and dinner once. The dinner service meat was low quality and very dry and tough. The breakfast food was very average and doesn’t match the quality of the hotel and staff. Food was 3/5 stars at most Service: 5/5 stars, very helpful and friendly throughout, went above and beyond to make our child’s birthday better than can be expected.

From the moment we landed until our departure tomorrow, every team member—from the airport representatives to housekeeping, front desk, food & beverage, and especially the Horizon Club Lounge staff—has delivered exceptional service with genuine warmth and care. A special and heartfelt shout-out to Min at the Horizon Club Lounge, who truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. She thoughtfully arranged our first elephant encounter at Kerchor Elephant Sanctuary, which turned out to be one of the most meaningful and unforgettable experiences of our lives. Min also took great care in ensuring our overall well-being throughout our stay. The tour itself was impeccably organized, led by an experienced guide, and supported by elephant keepers who were not only highly professional but also genuinely warm and welcoming, graciously introducing us to their Karen tribe. This was truly a tour to remember, and we wholeheartedly recommend Kerchor Elephant Sanctuary to anyone visiting Thailand.

From before check in to check out everything was great service and staff were very kind and attentive. Pool is great as plenty of sun loungers. Only downside is the locus at the pool can be pretty loud so if you are needing a quiet pool you may want a diff hotel.
