We stayed in Al Bandar as a family of four from London over the Easter holidays. The property itself is in a beautiful location nestled amongst the mountains, the drive to and from was an experience. Service standards were high and staff were always happy to help. Shout out to the pool guy! We enjoyed using the several pools and never felt that it was overcrowded. Poolside menu/ room service was quick and there was a wide choice of dishes to choose from. Rooms are a bit dated, however bed is huge and rooms are cleaned well. Tips There is a 24hr clinic/Dr on site. Ground floor rooms will give direct and easy access via patio to pools/beach. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the mall and souk. It can get busy so pre book seats. We never used it as we loved the hotel! Not much else close by to the hotel, therefore useful to have your own car incase you need to leave. (We ran out of baby wipes!) Overall a wonderful stay, thank you.

We recently stayed for 10 days with all our family and had the most amazing time. We were so impressed by the high standard of the hotel. All the staff were wonderful, professional, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Our room was serviced by Danish, who checked in with us that we were happy and if we wanted anything. The breakfast was wonderful, a huge choice of foods. managed by Ali and team the samba restaurant was fantastic - and other restaurants were a high standard too! Fantastic holiday ! Thank you and can’t wait to come back soon

It was a wonderful experience to spend our weekend and my birthday here, though it was only for a day staycation but it was indeed worth it and memorable. The room was so lovely, clean, smeels good and facing the beach and lazy pool was such a view. All the staff that we met were all so accomodating and gracious. The reception also generously approved our request for a late check-out. And I was so touched and surprised that they prepared for me a birthday cake, such a sweet gesture. For the breakfast buffet, it was good but couldn't enjoy much coz i got sick. The only downside we got to experience was that the AC was not 'cold' enough as we were sweating in the middle of our sleep. But overall, our experience was great and lovely and def worth it.

The hospitality was excellent, and the Ruby package was beautifully arranged. The cake being delivered later instead of at check-in was a nice touch and added to the surprise. From the moment we arrived—starting with the valet parking—all the way through to check-out, everything was wonderful. Shuttle serive facility is good to plan activity in near by places. We definitely need to plan more stays, and it would be great to receive similar offers in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La Al Waha Hotel. The facilities, including the clinic and children’s care, are outstanding for any family seeking a relaxing holiday. We especially want to thank Amir, an Iranian chef at Al Waha, who made our holiday remarkably special. When our little son was bitten by mosquitos, Amir was incredibly kind and helpful, even organizing mosquito repellent for us on his day off. His kindness and care for us and all guests were truly exceptional.
