I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The entire place had a great vibe—clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The food was excellent, with delicious options that really added to the experience. A special thank you to Restaurant Manager RUSIRU, waiter TIRTHA, and housekeeper VAMSLI, who made my stay even more special with their outstanding service and kindness. I truly appreciate their efforts and attention to detail. I would love to come back again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay!!!

The location of the hotel is excellent. However, the property is in need of renovation and no longer lives up to a 5-star standard. The room I stayed in required maintenance: the ironing board was broken, the wardrobe light kept flickering, the coffee machine didn’t work, and there were mold spots on the washbasin — all of which were disappointing. The food was underwhelming; many city restaurants offer far better taste and quality. That said, the staff were excellent — warm, professional, and always willing to help. Unfortunately, given the overall experience, it didn’t feel worth the price.

We stayed in Al Bandar as a family of four from London over the Easter holidays. The property itself is in a beautiful location nestled amongst the mountains, the drive to and from was an experience. Service standards were high and staff were always happy to help. Shout out to the pool guy! We enjoyed using the several pools and never felt that it was overcrowded. Poolside menu/ room service was quick and there was a wide choice of dishes to choose from. Rooms are a bit dated, however bed is huge and rooms are cleaned well. Tips There is a 24hr clinic/Dr on site. Ground floor rooms will give direct and easy access via patio to pools/beach. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the mall and souk. It can get busy so pre book seats. We never used it as we loved the hotel! Not much else close by to the hotel, therefore useful to have your own car incase you need to leave. (We ran out of baby wipes!) Overall a wonderful stay, thank you.

Fly High
Rooms are outdated after 20 years. Restaurants needs to be upgraded and bring on new good chefs. Too much emphasis on subcontinent food! Towels are old. I ordered food on the beach and the plates were left there on the table until late next day!!! Breakfast buffet is OK but yet again, the chefs are not up to five star standards. The beach activities are very good. The local in the reception at time of check in would fit to work in a morgue, sorry but this is true. He was not accommodating at all. I would come back only if the hotel is refurbished. New resorts with similar beaches are competing.

We recently stayed for 10 days with all our family and had the most amazing time. We were so impressed by the high standard of the hotel. All the staff were wonderful, professional, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Our room was serviced by Danish, who checked in with us that we were happy and if we wanted anything. The breakfast was wonderful, a huge choice of foods. managed by Ali and team the samba restaurant was fantastic - and other restaurants were a high standard too! Fantastic holiday ! Thank you and can’t wait to come back soon
