🙏❤️ ありがとうございます Noriko-san is the best staff I’ve met. She is very attentive and helps me fixed an important issue with expert skills and service mind. (For the issue, pls discussed with her) This is what the global brand wants to keep the hotel quality standard consistently high across the region. If I were a GM, I would never let a great staff like this go. The BEST Executive suite = the Club offering with the Best View >> recommend for a family FYI - I highly recommended Shangri-la hotel Bangkok to those who come as a family or for a business trip. I loved it here because I got engaged here 6 years ago - loving the Shangri-la brand since I stayed in its Jakarta location for 5 months and love the staff, service and business centre. Again, thanks to a great staff like Khun Noriko and the team. I love it here in Bangkok. PS - ICON Siam is good but I would recommend tourists to better visit Central World or Central CHIDLOM via BTS or Taxi - there are much more global/local brands there and better street food and things to look at in SIAM

Beautiful old-world luxury on the Thai side, which was more peaceful and charming, perfect for us. The room was spacious with a stunning river-view balcony, and we particularly appreciated the two large pools, expansive gym (one of the largest hotel gym we've seen), and spa facilities. They thoughtfully celebrated our birthday and anniversary with decorations and cakes which was much appreciated! Some areas for improvement: the shower lacks a handheld head, toiletries were generic (same as those of another hotel), and the breakfast buffet, while offering quality options, was overcrowded and the coffee could be better. Also, the hotel boat from ICONSIAM stops early (around 5 p.m.), unlike others nearby. Overall, a memorable and luxurious stay with a few small areas for enhancement.

After a marvellous stay at Sofitel Bangkok, the Shang has had a big shoe to fill. The first impression upon arrival wasn’t great as the concerige team was slow to react as compared to their Sofitel counterpart. In fact, it happened every round when we travelled back by vehicle. The Sofitel team was quick to react by opening the car doors or helping with the shopping loads while the Shangri La team was always a few seconds late. It’s also strange that you have to undergo an X-ray scanner when entering the hotel but yet, it’s a go through the motion process. The hotel and its room on the whole while old, is neatly maintained and eludes an old world charm. It’s really a great place to chill and pass time enjoying the pool and its nicely decorated garden. This is an area that the Shang surpasses the Sofitel as you could really feel your inner mind relaxed here. The hotel also provides a ferry to IconSiam and will be great if they could extend the operating hours and also include Asiatique into the ferry route. On the hotel staff hospitality front, thereabout half of those we met when walking past, didn’t greet or extend their hospitality as compared to Sofitel whereby I couldn’t remember anyone not greeting us or striking a small chat. While I’m fine with it, I deemed this as part of the hotel hospitality culture. Perhaps Shang is much bigger and thus is more difficult to administer what Sofitel has managed to do here. The saving grace were the pool team and the Horizon lounge team which did a great work on providing the hospitality that the Shang is known for. The pool team was always friendly while the lounge teams also did their upmost to ensure that you enjoy the stay. On an overall front, I would consider the Shang again if I opt to stay in a riverside hotel. The relaxing moments are second to none. However, the post stay experience was bad whereby my enquiry on the awarded member points (much lesser than my computation, likely incidentals such as spa were not included even though they should have been) was not answered despite reminders sent. So it will be a 3.5 stars rating as customer service is the most vital aspect in the hospitality industry.

Highly recommended (especially for birthday 🎂🎉🤩). Service and location are excellent, we stayed in the Krungthep Wing (room Type: Krungthep Riverview King) in the 15th floor, the views were stunning. Generally, I personally liked the Krungthep Wing better, it was quieter there and the style is traditional Thai. We arrived very early and were allowed to move into our room earlier. We were very grateful as we urgently needed to sleep. Nick and his colleague at reception were incredibly nice and took care of everything. Nick also provided us with lots of helpful tips and maps. I celebrated my 32nd birthday at Shangri-La - with an amazing afternoon tea, a fantastic massage (Chi Spa) and a romantic Thai dinner (Salathip Restaurant). I received several birthday cakes during my stay. The staff in the lobby (afternoon tea) and also in the restaurant (riverfront dinner) were super friendly, service was excellent.

Restaurant buffet not big but has variety and staff is warm especially restaurant manager Nitish is attentive and chat with the family and offer special snacks. Elderly and kids love the hotel, exceeded our expectations in connecting room. Also enjoyed the hourly free boat ride and the room and bedding is comfortable.
