The Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok offers an unparalleled experience of relaxation. As is typical of 5-star hotels in Bangkok, the service here is, needless to say, superb. The staff are genuinely kind and consistently strive to be helpful. The breakfast buffet is truly excellent; it features everything you could possibly want, and the flavour is magnificent. The croissant, in particular, was the most delicious I have ever tasted anywhere. The hotel's internal space is vast, almost expansive, and the interior design is also very impressive. The transport links are good, and a water shuttle service runs frequently to ICONSIAM shopping mall, making travel there very convenient. It is a truly superior hotel, and should I visit Bangkok again, I would certainly choose to stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers a very relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast: it was fantastic, with a wide variety of high-quality options that catered to every taste. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their professionalism and warmth truly made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily return. Highly recommended!

In the beautiful city of Bangkok, this is where we are the happiest and feel right at home . From the minute you check in till the staff bids farewell you constantly feel well taken care of. The concierge staff TK , Poalo , Jazz and their colleagues are extremely caring , efficient, courteous and kind. They leave you wanting for nothing. The horizon club with its beautiful service and facility makes our stay always a magnificent stay. Restaurants : Next2 , Shang Palace , Italian restaurant, the Beautiful chocolate coffee and riverside restaurants all beautiful facilities to enjoy. Don’t miss the Shangri La river cruise, it’s like no other, it’s a truly magnificent experience . With Bangkok hosting some of the world top hotels , over the last 25 years non matched up to Shangri La in my opinion for its overall value ,beautiful location, magnificent staff and concierge , comfortable rooms, delicious restaurants to choose from and top health club and pools to enjoy.

Right on the river side; the location of the hotel cant get better. Right from the checkin till the time we left the hotel, everything was perfect. The staff was very courteous and always ready to help. The breakfast, by the river side had good variety as can be expected from a hotel of this stature. The gym was very well equipped and the attached steam and sauna was a bonus. The roooms were tidy, though regular dry cleaning of carpets is required. You get complimentary hourly boat ride to ICONSIAM, which i feel should be more frequent, like Mandarin oriental. We took horizon river cruise which was also very pleasurable indeed.

Given the choice of quality 5 star hotels in Bangkok now the S-L seems quite old school. That said, we had an excellent stay. Room could have done with a minor maintenance fix up but it was very comfortable and had a great balcony overlooking the river. The public areas are luxurious and the breakfast is very good, if busy.
