Nice hotel. Gave it 3 stars for location as its a bit out of the way of things. Major road in between hotel and all local shops and restaurants. You have a 15 minute walk to cross over the road across high foot bridge. The pool is excellent. Never that busy and no kids. Rooms cleaned everyday by helpful staff. Hotel described as 5 star but I'd give it 4 at a push. Just because you have a bloke at the front opening doors for you and charge through the roof for a pint of beer, doesn't make you 5 star. Overall I would recommend for a nice quiet getaway.

My experience at this hotel was unexpectedly good. Since I entered the hotel I was greeted very nicely, friendly and helpful staff. very clean rooms, super friendly cleaning ladies. The food at the restaurant is very tasty. We will definitely return to this hotel and I will recommend it to friends!!!! And the biggest surprise: on my birthday I received a champagne gift at the door, a gesture that made me very happy!!

Booked this hotel by mistake thinking it was a different one. The breakfast was very nice. They had a cute cat that would wander the grounds. My only disappointments were that it was advertised to us as adult only, but there were kids at the hotel screaming very loudly. When discussing with reception they said it was recommended adults only but this isn't what is advertised, so if you want adults only book elsewhere. Location is also very poor with terrible public transport nearby so unless you have a car (it's expensive to park at the hotel) then it's not really worth staying here as there's nothing nearby.

Rooms are clean but really need an update for a 5 star hotel. Balconies, hallways and overall is in need of some cleaning and changing and really, really old and "used". Adults only which was great. Location is HORRIBLE so I'm thinking upgrading of the hotel is a need. A rental car is desperately needed. But the staff is UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC.

Dear Mr. Herves, Thank you for your recent message and for the condolences regarding the passing of both my father and mother. I appreciate the sympathy extended, as well as the apology for the delay in replying to my original inquiry. However, I must again respectfully clarify the following points: My reservation (Ref: 25062266744) was made directly via the Senator Banús website, not through a third-party platform. Therefore, your previous statement claiming the hotel cannot process refunds due to third-party policies is incorrect. I understand that you received my cancellation notice on the day of arrival. But I was dealing with the sudden and traumatic loss of my father just days before, while also still processing the loss of my mother. Under such circumstances, navigating hotel policies was not the first thing on my mind. I’ve since received an email stating I “should have given notice,” which I find deeply insensitive. With respect — how was I expected to provide earlier notice when I was grieving, arranging a funeral, and left without parents? You’ve now requested: * A death certificate, and * Legal documentation confirming my relationship to my father. Please understand: in Ireland, death certificates can take up to 8 months to be issued. I had already offered a statement from the Gardaí, which is the most immediate official documentation available. I'm more than willing to provide additional proof when possible — including a birth certificate or other records — but I ask for understanding that these processes are not immediate, particularly under emotional and administrative strain. My original outreach to your hotel — sent in a time of immense pain — received no reply whatsoever until I took the step of publicly raising the issue. I expected empathy. I received silence. Only now, after escalation, is my case being reviewed seriously. Given that: * The booking was direct, * I made contact in good faith amid personal tragedy, * Death certificates take months to issue in Ireland, * And I've already shown a willingness to cooperate, …I kindly and respectfully ask that you proceed with a refund or partial refund on compassionate grounds, or at the very least provisionally approve the request pending the delayed issuance of formal documents. I will continue to follow up on this matter, and I remain hopeful that Senator Banús will show the compassion and flexibility that your messages have promised. Sincerely,
