Lisa and Davin were great at check in. Kenny and Duran are the BEST butlers on this side of heaven. And Nickiesha and Tanesha with Amstar deserve flowers for how hard they rectified a problem for us. I don’t know if I’ll recommend this resort as I am a tough critic on food and drink and this resort needs some upgrade in quality. Best restaurant was the hibachi but idk guys, I feel like I woke up with knots in my stomach every day after that. Service was great though, everyone was kind and attentive. And again, Kenroy and Duran!!!! They would have something ready for us before we even asked. It’s amazing that 2 people can work together so well and treat us like the only girls in the world. I miss those two dearly already! It was my cousin’s birthday and Kenroy and Duran treated her like royalty all day and secretly decorated for her while we were gone. Pools were nice and beach access on the other side of your swim up room was great, too! Can’t promise I’ll be back but if I do, it’ll definitely be as a preferred member again! Thank you all for everything!

Feels more like a 3-star than a 5-star one. This is a "party" hotel where you get music entertainment for mid-aged people. They do annoying things, though, like sometimes different music from several places so that you hear both quite loudly at the beach and the music overlaps. This is just not that great. The service at the beach is mostly not there, although in one spot there was a waiter who did a great job. The rooms show their age and would deserve a proper deep cleaning once in a while. The food is good for a 3-star hotel, sub-par for a 5-star one. The prices for non-included things (like spa and some shops they have) are absurd, though. E.g. USD 40 for a sun protection spray or USD 109 for 50 minutes Spa. This would be fine if it was actually 5-star but not for what they actually provide. The sunset, the beach, and the location are great though. I'll likely won't join this hotel again.

To start, we had a wonderful time in Jamaica - we loved the people and the food, but I wouldn't call this a five-star hotel. This was our first all-inclusive experience. Many people we talked to said this was not nearly as nice of a resort compared to other all-inclusives or even other Secrets The pools, beach and exterior grounds are gorgeous and the hotel itself is well kept and clean but the rooms are dated, especially the bathrooms. They need some major updating. When we saw the preferred side there is definitely a difference in terms of ambiance and overall look/feel. We didn't receive turndown or housekeeping until Day 3 after we provided feedback through the Hyatt App (I did love the functionality of the app). I will say they immediately addressed the feedback and the final two days service was excellent, and they did provide access to the Preferred side of the resort along with dinner at one of the Preferred restaurants with a reservation, which was great b/c the Wild Orchid restaurants do not take reservations. The food was great everywhere we ate throughout the resort - room service was just OK, and I would say Blue Mountain was our least favorite. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent. I mention this because the first night we went to dinner at 7:30, and we were told they may not be able to seat us before they close at 10. Thankfully we found one restaurant that got us in by 8:30. But this really shocked me so we ensured we were down for dinner by 5:45-6 every night to ensure we'd get in. Honestly the best food was the Jerk Chicken hut on the beach - HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Most of the staff is quite friendly but some bar service was not great and the drinks were incredibly weak. The pool bars were the best for service and drinks. Most of the restaurant staff was friendly and throughout the resort the staff always say hello, etc. We did receive good advice prior to ensure we bring cash so we can tip throughout our stay and it does make a difference. We tipped room service, restaurants, buffets, concierge. Lastly, there was a lot of saving loungers at the pool and beach. People would save spots at 8am and then not come back for hours, which was incredibly frustrating. Overall, we loved Jamaica - the people and the food. We felt incredibly safe at the resort and outside the resort, but I would definitely re-consider staying at a Secrets especially after what we spent to only go Sun-Thurs. I will say it's an excellent location - close to the airport so you can truly get started on your vacation the day you arrive vs spending two hours getting to the hotel. We used TripGuy to book our trip, and they were incredibly helpful when we said we knew we wanted Jamaica and somewhere close to the airport. I do believe this is likely the nicest resort in Montego Bay, but it is not five stars - at least right now.

Ughhh the service was amazing, food is amazing.... I can't complain enough that I don't want to go home. Had a massage, let me tell you, I fell asleep on that table twice. Great time. Coming back for more next time. The only thing is wasn't a fan of was people holding the beach chairs for hours and not returning. It was frustrating to how selfish one can be. Smh

I am not happy that some of the restaurants are closed for dinner in the evening. One being the Seaside grill and the other the Oceana. I am here at the moment for another week and I am struggling to find a good restaurant with good food. Sorry, but the only good one for us was the Italian and worst is the French. The steak was awful! This is not gourmet dining! I have been to many other resorts which was far superior and I would not come back to this one. I paid a lot of money for this holiday and I feel it definitely isn't worth the money.
