This was a great choice for our stay in Cancun. We were there (a group of four) for 6 days total over the holiday season. Booking the Preferred Club was worth the check in experience alone. The entire staff we interacted with was great. The coffee bar ladies always had a smile on their faces. Bruce was our floor concierge and was friendly and there to help book things as we needed them. Rodolfo at Olio for dinner was fantastic. And Gustavo was our waiter several times at the steak house and Italian and would go back to the resort based on his service alone. Rooms large and adequate. Good at all the restaurants did not disappoint, the most important thing for an all inclusive.

I absolutely loved the aesthetic and feel right when you walk in the door. Greeted with a towel and a drink. This resort is adults only. There are several all inclusive restaurants and some upscale ones that do charge depending on the meal in which we did 3 times and the steak and lobster did not disappoint. The services immaculate and the staff is kind and friendly. The bathrooms were always clean on the property and there was always something to do. You can even dance your night away in the piano bar at the end of the night. It is right off the main strip so not as lively outside. It is a smoke-free property so they do ask you to go outside on the street. My only issue was the housekeeping that walked in our room without knocking and them grabbing our bags before check out. Other than those things , I would definitely recommend. It has a very romantic vibe to it, the rooms are beautiful and its right on the water. There is alot of choices for food so it should fit anyone. If you get a prestige room , you get access to additional floors and a butler.

Secrets The Vine is an excellent hotel, with great staff, such as the pool waiters Gabriel and Daniel, and also Mr. Alejandro, the Food and Beverage Manager, who is very attentive and always makes sure that guests feel happy and well taken care of. Many thanks to Mr. Carlos, the manager of the Italian restaurant, for the excellent food and great service at this restaurant. I also cannot fail to mention Mr. Juan de Dios, who makes the best cocktails in the hotel. Thank you very much to all these people who made our vacation wonderful. We will be back very soon — it was the best hotel choice we could have made.

Overall, I had a good stay at this all-inclusive hotel. I stayed for 3 nights and, in general, the service and facilities met my expectations. I dined at Nebbiolo Ristorante twice, and the food itself was good and enjoyable. However, the experience was negatively affected by the staff’s approach to upselling wine. I was repeatedly encouraged to purchase a $100-200 bottle, being told it was a “special wine for special guests.” After I politely declined, the staff’s attitude noticeably changed, which made the rest of the meal uncomfortable. This was disappointing, especially because I chose an all-inclusive resort to relax without feeling pressured to spend significantly more money. I hope management will review this situation and remind staff to respect guests’ choices so the dining experience remains welcoming and consistent for everyone

We just came back from a 4 night stay here and I would describe the experience as mediocre and not worth what we paid. Lobby- All of the reviews describing the musty, moldy smell in the lobby are spot on. They are blasting it with strong fragrance to try to cover it and it's pretty overwhelming. Service- Service for the most part was very good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Food- Probably one of the more disappointing parts of the stay. We got in late from our flight and went to dinner around 9pm at the buffet at the Market Cafe. All of the food was lukewarm to cold and it had been sitting out for too long. My boyfriend was served a raw pancake at the Sea Salt grill for breakfast. The fruit was not ripe enough. The best meals we had were at the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant. There is a long wait for those 2 restaurants but if you get there when they open around 6pm you can get sat quickly. The poolside food was pretty good. Room service food was good for the most part. I unfortunately did get sick from something I ate or drank but we aren't sure what. I heard the food used to be very good here but apparently it's gone downhill over the years. Room- We got the oceanfront Junior suite and it was really beautiful and clean. The shower was huge and the bed was comfortable. Other reviews mentioned issues with their air conditioner and we experienced the same thing, our room was always too hot for our liking. There were also many gnats in the hallway which we found gross. Pool- We enjoyed the pool. We rented a cabana every day and had fun with that. You need to get there in the morning if you want a chair by the pool. It got pretty busy. Spa- We got a couples massage and it was great (shoutout Sandra). Overall, we won't go back here. The other Secrets properties have a great reputation.
