We had an amazing stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun and would absolutely return. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. The resort has over 500 rooms but is designed as a single tower, and it never felt crowded to us. There are plenty of beautiful spaces throughout the property to spread out and relax. Breakfast at Olio quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip. Michelle and her team greeted us each morning with warm smiles and attentive service, and the food was consistently excellent. Our room was spotless with nice balcony and a stunning ocean/lagoon view. We loved the dramatic, very wavy beach — it made us feel like kids again. We upgraded to Preferred Club and found it well worth it for the higher floor room, access to the Preferred pool area, The Olio Restaurant, and the lounge with snacks and drinks. For anyone wondering about chairs: we consistently found beach space with an umbrella around 9:00 a.m. If areas filled up later in the day, staff were very helpful in assisting guests and keeping things organized. Our only minor note is that some of the beach furniture feels a bit dated compared to how modern and beautiful the rest of the resort is. That said, it didn’t impact our enjoyment. Overall, a polished, clean, well-run resort with excellent food and service.

Hola! Just returned from a one-week stay with my husband at this beautiful resort. The Preferred club ocean view room was beyond amazing - this is the only resort where we actually enjoyed spending time in our room. Wow what a view from the 27th floor. Can't be beat. Unfortunately the weather was unseasonably cool and extremely windy during our week so we didn't hang out by the pools too much. Havin said that however, we loved the drink service at the preferred pool - Arturo, Dany, and Hermes and all the others were smiling non stop and provided excellent service. Olio was delicious, and Michelle the hostess greeted us with a huge smile every day! The highlights of this resort include the food - best food we have had at an all-inclusive in our 30+ trips the the Mayan Riviera. So delicious. Esmeralda in the buffet, along with her team, took fantastic care of us. We did experience some tummy troubles while there; more than likely from guests who don't wash their hands after bathroom breaks, or sanitize them properly. Food handling that I saw from the servers, was excellent. On the Preferred floor we had our concierge Manuel, he was very helpful and knowledgeable and attentive. Always eager to please and sent us daily PDFs of the activities, which was convenient and very useful. The live entertainment was a real treat too. We are looking at you, Claudia T!! As a preferred guest, you are entitled to a complimentary 25 minute spa massage, and, bottle of tequila (or other) in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed both! Home for one day and am already checking the prices to return in April. Housekeeping staff, whom are often overlooked, provided excellent service, both during the day and for turndown service. Thank you Esmeralda on floor 27 . I cannot say enough good things about this resort. Book today you will not regret it. Oh - the coffee bar in the lobby has an amazing, prompt and courteous staff with beautiful smiles and genuine caring service. We really do not have any negative comments abouts this resort. Top notch in every aspect. Go now!!

Went for a bachelorette and didn't do Preferred Club! This resort is more aimed at a romantic couples getaway, rather than bachelorettes, but we picked it for the nice beach and weren't disappointed. The ocean was very blue and seaweed was well managed and didn't interfere (everyone always wonders about the seaweed but it's hard to predict, the amount of seaweed really varies day-to-day/season-to-season, but they work hard on keeping the beach nice). If anything, the wind was more of a problem than the seaweed. As with any resort, your enjoyment of the beach and pool relies heavily on the weather. It's not the best when it's ++ windy, but that's out of everyone's control. The red flag was up the whole time we were there but we still got to swim in the ocean. Just be aware of the possibility of wind on the hotel strip (I think it would be a problem anywhere). The beach chair Hunger Games thing is real. I do think there should be a statute of limitations on how long you can reasonably save a pool chair. Some people dropped a random library book on a chair and were never to be seen again. But it's not a huge issue, over the course of the day you can grab chairs as people move around. It never occurred to us to get up early to claim spots and we still had a fine time. The resort definitely caters to older couples who are looking for romantic getaways. We were probably 10-15 years younger than the average person. I noticed that most guests tended to eat lunch and dinner early, so there's more availability at restaurants later on (lunch after 1:30 and dinner after 8). All-in-all, good for recreational eating, lounging in the sun, having drinks in the lobby, and then turning in at a reasonable hour. That said, you can have a fun night of dancing if you decide you want that (and bring the party). The live music was excellent in the evenings. We were impressed with the band that did the Rock Night in the piano bar and the DJ who came on after. It's rare to have a DJ that 1.) actually plays your requests, 2.) plays the whole song, and 3.) mixes the songs well. Resort employees work very, very hard! The service is excellent. I never felt like tips were expected but they were always appreciated.

This is our third time to Secrets the vine, Cancun. We keep coming back because of the amazing food and clean, safe resort. I gave 4 stars on the rooms because the one sliding door wouldn't lock (not that it needed to be) and the tub we had didn't have hot water, so the upgraded feature wasn't used. However, housekeeping and turn down service was nice and any time we needed the air conditioning or heat adjusted, maintenance was there very quickly. The sheets weren't perfectly clean any time we asked for a change, just a sign of the resort aging I suppose. The location was perfect on the beach, only reason I mentioned a 4 is because the north side of the building doesn't have an appealing view in the space between our hotel and the neighbors. We really love this resort because nothing is far away on the resort. Coffee, drinks, pool, ocean, entertainment, your room, food... all within a 1-3 minute walk. The entertainment has improved over the last 3 years. Husband and I are in our 30s and I personally love to be amused while he prefers to relax. I found the cabaret, the karaoke, the dj and Mexican show to be my favorite with the Silent Party being the highlight of the trip! The entertainment is typically catered to an older crowd which is the vibe of The Vine, which to me is a bit of a snooze fest and so the shows I mentioned made up for that. The only animals you'll find here is maybe some pigeons - guests just need to remember not to feed them before they become a nuisance. Jose did well at getting crowd participation. Staff are very helpful, I recommend if you have a complaint or concern, just say so and they'll fix it quite quickly rather than waiting to leave a bad review. The Hyatt app is a good tool to know what's happening where and when. A downside this trip was that many people leave their belongings on a chair early morning to get a pool chair. The 90 minute rule isn't well monitored by pool area staff. The hotel is beginning to show its age but the hotel manager takes our reviews into consideration. Ive seen improvements on the entertainment, the hot tub temperature, and information for guests. The food is consistently delicious. I wouldnt be opposed to go a 4th time to see what they'd offer next.

This was our second time at this resort in Cancun. It is an amazing place with amazing staff. From check-in to check-out you are taken care of, no questions asked. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Food is always amazing. Entertainment all day long! Pools and beach are absolutely beautiful but make sure you go down early to get a spot! The rooms are beautiful with amazing views and housekeeping keeps things impeccable. We have absolutely nothing bad to say about this resort and HIGHLY recommend!
