Don’t Stay Here – Especially If You Have Food Allergies! We had a truly disappointing stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun. From the moment we arrived, we were asked about food allergies—which seemed like a thoughtful touch—only to realize it was completely useless. Every time we went to a restaurant, we had to repeat our allergies to multiple people, even after giving our room number. What's the point of having a system if they don’t use it? The steakhouse had great food, but it wasn’t worth the hassle. We waited over an hour just to be seated, and once we finally got a table, the wait for the food was even longer. Completely mismanaged. Our last night was the final straw—our room started leaking. Instead of resolving it efficiently, they made us move rooms while we were waiting for the steakhouse again. They offered us an “upgrade,” which turned out to be no upgrade at all—just a disruption—and then tried to make it better by offering us points. Not good enough. This resort is absolutely not equipped to handle guests with allergies. On top of that, they’re constantly pushing spa services and trying to rope you into a 1.5-hour sales pitch. From the airport to check-in and even the next day, they were hounding us. It felt more like harassment than hospitality. And the so-called upgraded room? The plugs in the lamps didn’t even work. After this experience, I have no interest in being part of the Hyatt program. Terrible customer service, poor management, and no consideration for guests’ needs. Avoid this place.

We rarely go to all inclusive hotels but we decided to try this one after getting a recommendation from friends. We got one of the preferred suites, using Expedia, and it was such an amazing time that we added a night to our two night stay! The room was big and very comfortable. The view from the big balcony was incredible. Stefan, our private floor concierge, was extremely friendly and attentive and helpful with anything and everything we needed. The food in the restaurants we tried was great and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the breakfast and lunch buffets in the Market Place. The pools were beautiful and we joined some of the many activities there that were fun and got us to befriend other couples. All in all it was an amazing time and we’re sure to be back. Highly recommended.

Biggest regret of the trip. Room was nearly $1000/night — totally not worth it. Food was terrible. We tried Nebbiolo (Italian restaurant) — mussels were tiny and smelled bad, clams had no meat, fish was fishy. Couldn’t finish anything. Room service was no better — shrimp tacos were over-fried, soup was too salty, and the sausage on the pizza didn’t taste fresh. We ended up ordering McDonald’s and Japanese ramen (not instant noodles) at midnight just to eat something decent. From the moment we entered, it felt off — the lobby starts with a staircase, and even just walking around inside or outside, everything felt old and worn down. Room had a broken faucet, peeling furniture, and no hot water. Beach was narrow, full of seaweed, and poorly maintained. Plastic lounge chairs were uncomfortable. I tried to check out early, and one staff member actually gave me a hard time — even said she didn’t care what kind of review I write. Well, here’s the review. From her tone alone, I could feel how little they value guests — and I had booked one of their top suites. We left the next day and moved to another hotel called EDITION which is much much better. Would absolutely not recommend — especially if you care about food, comfort, or basic respect.

Such an amazing experience. The staff are all so nice, there to help with anything you might need. This was my first time out of the country and at a resort. Would definitely recommend! Only downside my partner had was that there were only 1 or 2 restaurants open for breakfast and lunch. The market cafe was my personal favorite for breakfast they had many options. You can however order snacks and small lunch items by the pool. We didn’t get the chance to try all of the restaurants but heard many good things from other guests.

Our stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for by the incredible staff. A special shout-out to Allen and Miguel from the entertainment team – they were so much fun and did a phenomenal job keeping us engaged in the activities. Whether it was poolside games or evening events, they made every experience lively and memorable. The service throughout the resort was excellent. Everyone we encountered, from the wait staff to the housekeeping team, was friendly, attentive, and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. The resort itself was very clean, and it was clear that cleanliness is a top priority here. The food was also a highlight, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Our favorite spot was the Sea Salt Grill. In the evenings, there was always something fun going on, with a great variety of entertainment to keep things interesting. We loved the mix of live music, shows, and themed events, which really added to the overall experience. Overall, Secrets The Vine Cancun was a perfect blend of relaxation, fun, and luxury.
