I also stayed at Secrets The Vine Cancun, and the experience was completely the opposite — absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, everything felt luxurious and well taken care of. The service was professional, warm, and attentive, making me feel truly welcomed and valued as a guest. The room was not only spacious and modern but also had the most breathtaking ocean view I could have ever hoped for. Waking up to the crystal-clear turquoise sea every morning was like living in a dream. Unlike other places that play tricks with “ocean view,” Secrets The Vine delivers exactly what they promise — and even more. The beach was stunning, clean, and peaceful, and every part of the resort felt elegant and perfectly maintained. From the food and drinks to the pool and spa, everything was outstanding. This resort made my honeymoon feel truly special and unforgettable. I honestly cannot recommend Secrets The Vine enough. If you are looking for a place in Cancun with perfect ocean views, excellent service, and a luxurious atmosphere, this is the resort you should choose. It gave me everything I was hoping for, and more.

Plenty to love about this hotel - gorgeous pure sand beach, cheerful plentiful staff, very clean, great food and drinks. I really enjoyed the wine tastings and I paid extra to use the spa facilities(which were beautifully designed). The spa and the gym are on 12th floor with views of the beach and the resort. My room was large and very clean. The air-con was judged just right (not too fierce). I was really lucky with the weather being so calm in September hurricane season and there was very little sargasso). Big thanks to David concierge, Efran in the gym and Rafael on reception. Lovely holiday!

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) What a beautiful hotel! I would definitely go back. The service was outstanding, and it’s the perfect stay for a couple—very peaceful with no loud parties. The food was incredible—especially at the Blue Grill, where the ribeye steaks were amazing! Even the room service meals were excellent. Our room had an incredible view, and the infinity pool was gorgeous. If you like to work out, the gym is beautiful and has an amazing view as well. We also had a great time trying many different drinks, and even the other guests were so nice and friendly. The only downside was the sales pitch. They offer $200 if you attend a “90-minute” presentation, but it lasted much longer. They say there’s no pressure to buy, but there was definitely a lot, and the staff became frustrated when we didn’t purchase. Just something to be aware of.

We had a great first day on the property, the weather was nice and we stayed by the pool. If you want a chair by the pool, better get there early because they get taken up fast! They had cabanas but those were an extra cost. The second morning my husband woke up sick, vomiting multiple times that day and did not leave the room. He felt strongly that it was something he ate at dinner. I stayed in the lobby as it was raining outside, and I found the activities were very boring. It was a VERY long day. We ended up leaving the resort a day early because I was so bored I did not want to stay another day. The food at the resort was mediocre, not very many choices. They do not take reservations so the dinner restaurants had a bit of a wait, especially the steakhouse (we waited about 40min). The staff were very kind but did not go out of their way to ask if I wanted/needed anything while I was there. We had a “preferred” room and the concierge on our floor was not overly helpful either. I text him a question and did not hear back for a few hours. The resort did feel safe. Overall, I would not want to stay at this property again.

The service at this hotel is incredible! We stayed in the Preferred Junior Suite, and it was absolutely worth it for all the extra perks. As preferred guests, we had access to a private lounge, a dedicated pool on the 12th floor, the exclusive Olio Mediterranean restaurant, and even our own floor concierge — which made the whole experience feel so personalized. I have to give a special shoutout to Mauricio, our concierge. He went above and beyond to make our trip extra special — always available to answer questions and help with anything we needed. When my husband got sick during our stay, Mauricio checked in on us multiple times and offered assistance, which was so thoughtful and reassuring. If you can, definitely request him — you won’t be disappointed. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning views and plenty to do. There are daily activities, several bars, six restaurants plus a poolside snack grill, and even a 24-hour café. One touch that truly stood out was their bedtime turndown service — something I’ve only experienced before at the Fairmont, and it made our stay feel even more luxurious. We had such a wonderful time here and are already planning to come back. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation experience.
