We had a great experience, the service was impressive especially at Olio where Melissa treated us like royalty. The hotel grounds open out to a sheltered beach where we indulged in kayaking and jet skiing. There is also a channel entrance to a marina on the eastern aside of the beach. The food and drinks were always available and tasted great. The staff were always friendly and knowledgeable.
The buildings do have some visible signs of wear but I was informed that a full scale renovation was due to begin 3 weeks after my visit ended.

Just returned from a vacation there and believe me I didn't want to leave. I heard the resort will close soon for renovation but it's already so nicely kept up, can't wait to go back again afterwards and see what they improve. The people that work there are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was simply delicious and much higher quality than I've experienced in other resorts. The property is nestled between two mountains with beautiful views on a private beach and pool area. I can't recommend this place more highly if you're looking for a romantic vacation or simply a relaxing getaway. This place is perfect.

This lovely resort sits like a jewel on Anse Marcel Beach.although it’s due to close soon for a remodel the grounds are spotless our room was the cleanest ever! The staff is super friendly like “Sunshine” at the towel station every morning bestowing wisdom and a good laugh “I’m above ground and kicking life” The food was also better then most AI - the grouper with the cream truffle sauce was amazing!! Yoga on the roof top in the morning was sublime and the beach although small was not crowded and very gentle -Can’t wait to see this place refreshed

We just returned from a short excursion and enjoyed our visit. We upgraded to a larger room which was great. It's a smaller all inclusive resort so you do have limited dining options as compared to other resorts. However, my wife and I had a great time relaxing by the pool, spend time at the beach, and taking in the beautiful scenery. We also enjoyed relaxing live music every night. I would go back in a heartbeat.

My husband and I came from NY for a 4 night stay with the goal of relaxing. If you are looking for a party/nightlife vibe, this resort is not for you. However, for a quieter or more relaxing trip, this place was the ticket. We felt like we were the only people here most of the time, which worked to our benefit in just being able to decompress.
For your consideration, I’d suggest if you plan to stay here, do the following for the best experience.
Make sure you book a preferred room. The buffet times are odd, and not every restaurant is open. For those shoulder hours between meals, we depended on the preferred area in the lobby a ton. They didn’t have a lot of options, but enough to snack on and a private bar you didn’t have to go into the pool area for.
The swim-out suite we booked was great, but try to ensure you’re booked on the canal. We had ideal privacy, got to watch the pelicans hunt for fish in the canal at night, and had stunning views of the surrounding hills. However we saw some swim-out suites that face the main hotel area and those wouldn’t have been nearly as nice.
Take advantage of room service!!!! The food was mediocre but certainly edible, and it came rather quickly compared to other places we stayed (30-45 minute wait). They will also deliver alcohol to your room, which comes in handy since they only stock you with two beers to start. However, be warned - if you place your room service outside of your door, iguanas/birds/cats will get into it before the hotel staff can come and collect it. To test our theory, one set of room service sat outside our room for more than 12 hours.
we didn’t partake in the resort pool as we had our own private one, but we did enjoy the beach. However, before the beach bar opened (which was a great little spot), we had to get drinks at the pool bar, which had a putrid odor coming from it. We were fine holding our breaths to get a couple of pina coladas, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us.
As far as food, the quality was fine. We’ve stayed at other all inclusives with way worse quality. The variety wasn’t great but we’re not super picky so we found it to be fine. There are only one or two restaurants open for dinner each night. We enjoyed the “steakhouse” and the Italian restaurant quite a lot actually, but we weren’t expecting 5 star quality food. So if your expectations are managed and you’re not a picky eater, you’ll be just fine.
Staff was generally friendly and timely with requests. We had no issues with staff.
In general the hotel is a bit run down. However we see that they are planning some major renovations in the next few weeks. I believe that with those renovations, this place has an opportunity to be a really marvelous all inclusive resort in a gorgeous area.
We look forward to checking back after the renovations and seeing what this place can become with a little facelift!
