We took a 6 day trip to Secrets Maroma Beach earlier this month and absolutely loved our time there! The staff and service were definitely a standout — it was our first time at an all-inclusive resort, and everyone was so genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Shout out to Marvin, Dario, and all the other wonderful waiters we had by the beach and pool! The food was fantastic! I loved being able to have a different cuisine at a different restaurant every night, and the breakfast buffet was delicious and had so many options. I especially loved the Mexican restaurant, El Patio. Every course was delicious beautifully plated at all the restaurants we tried. The beaches are the most beautiful I’ve seen, and we also enjoyed a wonderful massage and water treatment at the spa. Overall, absolutely incredible across the board — service, food, rooms, beaches, and activities were all 10/10!

Our concierge - Daniel- went above and beyond for us on our trip! Our buffet server was Alejandro and he was our favorite part of waking up in this paradise! Very impressed with the entertainment staff. We had a foam party, made macrame plant hangers, did a wine and cheese painting activity, tons of beach volleyball and beach yoga- it was wonderful. Our room was gorgeous and felt very luxurious. I did order room service one morning and that was lovely and piping hot. We also had access to the preferred beach club which was a lovely little respite from the big pool in the afternoon. Our group had an amazing time and would definitely return!

Exceptional Boutique Resort with Top-Level Service This boutique-style resort impressed me from the moment I arrived. The staff were consistently warm, professional and attentive, and it was clear that they take pride in creating a relaxing atmosphere for guests. The beach is beautiful and well maintained, and I really appreciated the variety of pools—each with its own vibe and plenty of space to unwind. My room was modern, spotless and very comfortable, matching the high standard throughout the property. Wifi was fast (hybrid connection). Use vpn if you have business secrets. The staff were amazing.I felt safe at all times, and communication was easy thanks to staff who seamlessly switched between English, Spanish and French. The all-inclusive setup worked smoothly, with quick service and good organization in all areas. A practical note for future guests: tipping is expected at a high-end resort like this. At least 15% is standard and well deserved considering the level of service. A special thank you to Carmen, Humberto and Angel for making the stay especially memorable with their excellent service.

We just visited for my birthday and our 20 year anniversary and had the best time. Great service and it’s a very quiet adult only resort. Very relaxed atmosphere for couples. Maroma beach is so beautiful. We used their professional photographer and loved all of our pics and highly recommended if your celebrating something special. We have always stayed at a Secrets/Dreams resorts for our Rivera Maya vacation becuase we love their service. The coffee here is also 👌🎉Thank you for making our trip so memorable and special. Back to Oklahoma now 🤣

I visited this resort to learn more about their Hyatt member package, and unfortunately, the experience left me extremely uncomfortable. The sales presentation lacked transparency and did not provide clear pricing, benefits, or real numbers to help us evaluate whether the program was truly worth it. Our guide was pleasant at first, but after we declined due to the lack of clarity, the tone completely changed. We were made to feel dismissed and even spoken down to. At one point, we were asked why we “wasted two hours” attending the presentation, which felt extremely unprofessional and condescending. We also found it concerning that they would not share detailed program pricing unless we committed to becoming members, which raised serious red flags for us. The program does not allow the use of credit-card travel points, which further reduced its appeal. We travel a lot and we accumulate a lot of credit card points/benefits. To not be able to use them and spend whatever amount for this membership (since we were given zero pricing info) just did not align with our wants and needs. While the resort itself is very nice and quiet (just not our personal preference, as we enjoy a livelier atmosphere), this sales experience alone was enough to ensure we would not choose to stay here in the future. I strongly caution others to be prepared for a condescending, passive-aggressive sales approach that may leave you feeling uncomfortable rather than informed. The experience was stressful and disappointing.
