Secrets Maroma Beach is a beautiful, well-maintained resort with excellent service and a very relaxed, upscale atmosphere. Our oceanfront room was spotless, housekeeping came twice a day, and the staff everywhere — especially on the beach — went out of their way to make our stay great. WiFi was outstanding throughout the resort and security was impressive. The beach is gorgeous, though there is a noticeable amount of seaweed despite the staff working hard to clean it. Food overall is a solid B+. Some restaurants were excellent (Oceania had an incredible sea bass), while others were forgettable or poor (La Terrazza was easily the worst). Drinks were a C+ — inconsistent and not what you’d expect at this price point. The shows were decent and there are fun included activities like a kitchen tour and bike tour. Check-in was great, but our scheduled check-out pickup never happened. We had Preferred Club only because it came with our room; we would not pay extra for it as it didn’t add meaningful value. Guests were respectful, well-dressed for dinner, and simply there to relax. No loud partying or entitled behavior. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it with reasonable expectations: great service, beautiful property, relaxing vibe, good (not amazing) food, and a few service inconsistencies. Restaurant ranking (best to worst): Oceania, La Patio, Seaside Grill, Bordeaux, World Café, Himitsu, Portofino, La Terrazza. Tips: – If you land after 5pm, stay at the Courtyard airport and go in the morning (saves ~$1,000). – Oceanview IS NOT oceanfront; no first-floor rooms have ocean views. And those they sell as “ocean view” are pretty far from beach. – Download the Hyatt All-Inclusive app before you go to view menus at all the restaurants. – Tell your mini-bar attendant exactly what you want when you arrive. – Arrange private transport; Uber cannot pick up at the resort. You can also take a taxi ($80 to airport). – Using Apple Pay/credit card usually adds ~10% fee. – Bring about $200 in $5 bills for tipping — you’ll want to.

Betsabe Made Maroma Unforgettable! Our stay at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun was nothing short of extraordinary. We stayed here during our wedding celebrations, and after transferring to another Secrets property for part of our honeymoon, it became immediately clear just how special Maroma truly is. The other resort simply did not compare. Because of that, we are returning to Secrets Maroma to finish the rest of our honeymoon, and there is truly no place we would rather be. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We did not have a single bad meal our entire stay. Every restaurant delivered consistently delicious dishes with beautiful presentation and incredible attention to detail. The service throughout the resort is unmatched. It is warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful in a way that makes you feel truly cared for. One thing that stood out in particular was how promptly everything was handled. If you needed anything at all, it was taken care of immediately. The staff checked in every five to ten minutes whether we were at breakfast, by the pool, or relaxing on the beach. It was attentive without ever feeling intrusive and made the entire experience feel effortless. For the first time in a long time, it truly felt like a vacation where we could fully relax knowing everything was already taken care of. I have traveled to nearly 30 countries and have stayed at more than six Secrets resorts, and I can confidently say that Maroma exceeded my expectations by far. This resort operates on an entirely different level. A very special mention goes to Betsabe, who went above and beyond in every possible way. She helped me plan my cocktail hour the night before my wedding with so much patience and kindness. She assisted with securing day passes for our non resort guests, helped me print important items, and did everything in her power to make sure every detail was perfect. Her care, dedication, and heart made an already special experience unforgettable. I absolutely love her, and I absolutely love Maroma. One promise I have made to myself for this honeymoon is to have the fried ice cream every single night. It is that good. We cannot wait to spend the rest of our honeymoon here, soaking in the beauty, the service, and the magic that makes Secrets Maroma truly exceptional. This resort will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

We chose Secrets Maroma for our 25-year anniversary in November, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The service was truly exceptional—every detail was handled with care and warmth. Roberto, our concierge, was top notch and went above and beyond to make our anniversary feel special. The entertainment crew was fantastic and kept the energy fun and engaging throughout our stay. I especially loved my workouts with Leo—he was motivating, professional, and made every session enjoyable. The food was consistently delicious with great variety, and every meal felt like a treat. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a milestone. I can’t recommend Secrets Maroma enough—it exceeded all our expectations and created memories we’ll cherish forever.

The room was beautiful and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could want—coffee maker, a fridge fully loaded with beer, sodas, and water, plus an iron, hair dryer, and even insulated cups perfect for long days by the pool. If it fits your budget, I highly recommend upgrading to the Preferred Club. It gives you access to private cocktail lounges with appetizers and drinks, conveniently located near both your room and the beach—an excellent perk we truly enjoyed. Dining had many options. The French and Asian restaurants were our favorites, but there’s no shortage of options, including steak, seafood, Italian, Mediterranean, and special themed dinners. Service throughout the resort was outstanding. Pool staff were friendly and attentive—keeping drinks coming, cleaning sunglasses, and helping with umbrellas without ever being intrusive. Overall, just a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Secrets Maroma is an amazing resort - everything about it will impress you. The beautiful beach & well manicured property grounds, the exceptional food and the amazing staff. I just finished a week here, and wish I could stay longer. My building concierge "Francia Torres" was so friendly right from the first day - she helped me with many small things throughout the week, that really made a big difference to me. For example on day one, she asked what time I would like my room cleaned. I gave her a two hour window....and sure enough, every day when I returned from breakfast, my room was made up and spotless. My housekeeping guy was Benjamin - Thank you! Also the mini bar was refreshed daily with whatever I requested. I would also like to give a shout out to the Spa staff. As soon as walked through the Spa doors, I was greeted warmly by Mariana Camacho Briseno. She made me feel right at home, and explained everything to me. I throughly enjoyed the hydrotherapy, and had a wonderful massage & facial with Emiliano. He was great...request him, if you can. The Entertainment team is fabulous, providing on-going day time activities, and spectacular night time shows. There is always so much to do - day and night. The food is incredible - make sure you try every restaurant, the menus are extensive, and you'd need a month here to try everything! If you only have a few nights, choose Portofino. Lastly kudos to the head concierge "Aldo Pulido" for managing such a great team. I can't wait to come back. See you next year!! Thank you for a magical experience.
