We just spent 6 days at Secrets Impression Moxche in Playa del Carmen in February. Let me just say the extra spent for this level of service at the Impression resort was well worth it. Our butlers were Alejandra & Daniel, & they were top notch & took care of our every need from a surprise romantic hot drawn bath with rose petals to hot chicken soup & Gatorade when I was sick for a day. They scheduled dinners & Spa for us too & gave restaurant recommendations as well as there are so many to try. We highly recommend Tedoro's where we experienced the chef's 10 course tasting menu - this was an adventure & I'm so glad we did it. The pools are amazing & there are so many so you can find a pool with just your vibe (be aware we noticed guests bringing bluetooth speakers poolside - & those were not allowed). There are chairs & beautiful cabanas on a somewhat small beach area but again it's beautiful- no one really seems to get in the water though, it doesn't look swim friendly. Walking the beach is easy, we didn't go far though. We didn't go off resort unfortunately just due to a mobility issue but wish we could have. We are early dinner eaters so we never waited for a table; we loved Ember & Allora. There's a wonderful breakfast & lunch buffet in the main building too, we did start our day there most days. One or twice we ordered room service which was good too - don't forget they can leave & pickup from a private butler box so there can be no contact. There's literally food everywhere too so you can always walk by somewhere such as the lobby & grab drinks or handheld food. One thing I stressed over was what to wear - they do have a couple fancy restaurants- this is what I learned - don't stress over it - a pretty sun dress & sandals or a fancy cocktail dress & heels were all acceptable!! Wear what you're comfortable with but also enjoy indulging in a cute dress that you never get a chance to wear!! I would definitely come back to this adult resort - the staff was the friendliest & most accommodating we've ever encountered. I'd recommend this resort to anyone looking for an adult get away.

My husband and I both got food poisoning. We’ve never done an all inclusive before, but decided to for our baby moon so we could relax and not leave the resort. In being on our babymoon and GF, I was bummed at the lack of mocktail options. GF options were okay but not every server was aware of gluten free options and the menus weren’t consistent with providing that information. The food was amazing but we were surprised to both get food poisoning, and from the Impressions specific restaurant at that since it’s only for the Impressions guests and supposedly higher end. It sucks to get food poisoning in general, but to get food poisoning when pregnant in a foreign country is definitely a different level of anxiety. Even after completing the survey after our trip, no one reached out to us — hence why I’m reluctantly writing this review. The place was beautiful and rooms were incredible. We noticed a lot of people had signs on their doors for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoon; but even though I had indicated we were there for our babymoon when booking the trip, reception had to ask if we were celebrating anything. The butlers made it right once they found out what we were celebrating. Yoga and gym were amazing. Spa was beautiful. Overall, fun and beautiful trip, but for the price you pay to stay at Impressions, I was a little disappointed at the lack of attention to detail.

This hotel was a truly wonderful experience! — We got upgraded to an ocean view room, very spacious and beautiful. The room was well maintained and cleaned upon request. — Food is delicious and the choices are generous, keep in mind though it can be crowded at certain restos esp. during peak hours, so try to come in at odd times. The Impression side tends to be less busy. — Staff is attentive and friendly, doing their best to take care of everyone. Our butlers Rafa and Gilbert were always on top of everything. — The pool options are unparalleled, I highly recommend the Rooftop + Cielo. — The spa is good too! We were allowed to exchange the complimentary massage for hydrocircuit therapy instead. What could be improved: — Taking reservations for restos to reduce lines. — The resort credit can’t exactly be used unless you already spend a substantial amount. For Impression vs Secrets comparison, don’t hesitate to upgrade to Impression if you want to make sure you have more privacy and less crowds. It’s totally worth the extra $. My wife and I just got back from our third trip to Secrets Impression Moxché, and it’s still our favorite spot. It isn’t 100% perfect, but the luxury and the staff keep us coming back every year. The Best Parts: The Staff: The service is what makes this place. Our butlers, Daniel and Maila, were incredible—super proactive and always made sure we got our dining reservations the second they opened. It was also great seeing Jose on the entertainment team again; he’s a blast and always brings the energy. The Food: Teodoro is hands-down some of the best food I’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. Cielo was also a hit (don’t miss the smash burger or ribeye tacos). We also loved the taco cart and random pop-up snacks, though we couldn't find the churros this year! The Vibe: Gypsy’s club was a highlight for my wife, and the beach fire show is a must-see. Also, a huge plus: we never had to fight for a pool chair. There were always plenty open. A Few Critiques: Just to be honest, a few things have changed. They don’t carry Macallan 12 anymore, and they cut the tequila tasting, which we really missed. I also booked a year out and requested our specific room from last time, but they couldn't make it happen. Lastly, the service at Seaside is still comically slow—it’s been that way for three years, so just grab a drink and be prepared to wait! Overall, even with the small changes, it’s still a top-tier resort. We’ll be back.

Incredible please! I've been to many resorts and this has been placed at #1 on the list. Names worth mentioning are Axel and Cristian, the entertainment staff. Roberto, by the pool helping us with drinks was on top of his game! Cesar and Omar, our butlers, were very good and very professional. All of these people were born to work with other people. Excellent views throughout the resort. I would recommend staying at Secrets Moxche and then spending a single night or two at Impression so you can enjoy the roof top and try the food.
