Service was great but that may have been the only thing that was great. Last year we stayed at another secrets and it was fabulous, this one, not so much. Food selection was very limited. We stayed 5 nights and had to repeat a dinner meal twice, which was very disappointing. Their idea of a steak is horrible, being from Texas our idea of a steak is top notch. If you are not a "preferred " member you will get turned away at some of the restaurants. Onto the room...couch was very low to the floor, patio furniture very uncomfortable to sit on, our safe needed new batteries, fridge wasn't cold, curtain didn't close all the way and patio door has very hard to close. THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE, probably one of the best beds we've ever slept in at a hotel. We didn't get slippers like we did at the other secrets we stayed at. There was no where to hang our bathing suits after swimming and the "beach" was to rocky for us to go in the water. Needless to say we will NEVER come back here.

I would have to say based off the reviews I read prior to our week stay at Secrets. I was a bit nervous. But, I couldn’t have asked for a better first time ever vacationing at a resort. The entire staff was so incredibly kind, every employee you pass greets you with a smile and a form of hello. We booked our stay through a travel agent and were not told anything about being a preferred guest. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $400 to be preferred members. It’s worth it. The food was great, the only down fall is majority of the restaurants are outside for the ocean view. But, eating hot food in the heat isn’t that great. So, we did room service quite a bit and we enjoyed it just as much as we did eating at the restaurants. The resort was absolutely beautiful. The balcony view from our room and from the sushi bar lounge area were absolutely incredible. Each time we needed a taxi to leave the resort for an adventure, the resort staff called for the taxi for us. The submarine, ATV’s and swimming with the dolphins were all such a great time. I highly recommend this resort and the activities listed above.

Totally disappointing . Not worth the money I payed. The only cool thing was the view and location.
Service sucks, the “all inclusive “ part is a scam, they don’t let you have lunch at all the restaurants unless you’re a premium member. The food is not good we ordered the steak and lasagna in the windows restaurant and could finish it because it was awful. I swear I make a better burger and hot dog at home.
Service is bad, people who work at the hotel are not efficient. Beach is not clean, my husband stepped on a screw and hurt his foot while walking and the crew didn’t seem to care when he told them. Also most of the beach’s furniture is broken and we could find a good deck chair.
Rooms, linens and common restrooms and a lot of places in the hotel smell like humidity.
If you want to use the pier to get on or off a boat they charge you. That’s what the lifeguard said, I’m not even sure that’s true because some hotel rules aren’t laid out properly.
WiFi is pretty bad and water pressure in the shower is very low, tub in the room is dirty pretty disgusting.
And the hotel needs a total renovation, it’s from 2007 and it’s old and hasn’t been renovated.
So many things were not how we expected them to be specially for the price of the hotel.
Definitely not coming back to this or any of their resorts.

I have been to many resorts. This resort stands out. The resort is beautiful. It is clean. The staff are absolutely wonderful. The food was top notch. We plan to visit this resort at least once a year.

A lot of the employees have been super kind and I do really enjoy talking to them. The location is also really nice.
The none preferred rooms feel as though they have just been given up on. The building seems as though it's just got a bunch of bandaids all over it. Our room smelled of paint when we got there. I don't think it helped that they sprayed the paint over the vent. Every time the AC kicks on, a huge smell of paint enters the room.
Did a presentation that was only supposed to be 90 minutes but ended up being 3 hours. Did get a couples massage out of it though. However when we went, none of the hydrotherapy was working.
One of the employees attempted to steal my phone when I had lost it during the presentation. Thankfully my partner had find my phone and we were able to track it down to the employee and made it ring in his pocket. He tried to deny having it but we just rang it again and demanded the phone be handed over. He had stuffed a piece of paper in to the speaker hole of it to try and muffle the sound. We reported him with the manager and they had us identify the individual. I believe he was fired, but I do not know.
We paid 400 to upgrade our room to preferred to have a nicer and quieter environment. During the first night the power shut off throughout the resort multiple times. (Not sure the cause, there were no storms)
On top of that, the AC unit in the bedroom started making a very loud panging noise so we slept on the couch in the living room area. The AC in there didn't work at all, but at least we could have the other one on and be further from the noise. Maintenance came by this morning to fix the noisy one but needed a new part for the not working one.
I'm literally counting down the seconds to the next problem.
