The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the restaurants are first class. The breakfast buffet had so many options you could always find something delicious to eat. This place is a foodies dream. The beach is beautiful, the water, lovely, the snorkeling worthy. The drinks were plentiful and top shelf. What else can I say.

Great getaway vacation to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! The beach is beautiful, best I’ve ever seen!
The food was delicious, plentiful, and in huge variety. Just about anything you would want to eat was available.
We loved the quiet Lagoon pool and spent some time there everyday. Miguel and Philippe are the attendant and server at the pool, and they are an asset to the property. Both gentlemen are beyond courteous and work hard to take care of you and make sure you are comfortable.
In fact, all of the staff is top notch. The hosts at the restaurants, the servers, housekeepers, everyone was pleasant.
Our concierge, Sergio, deserves a shout out too.
We did experience a couple of minor inconveniences, but nothing worth mentioning, and it didn’t affect our stay. I would definitely recommend a visit.

We had an amazing experience at Secrets Akumal. We have been to countless all inclusive resorts and this set a high bar for our expectations. The service stood out, as every staff member was warm, courteous and made us feel welcome. Sadly, we witnessed a staff member have a heart attack, and was amazed at how concerned other staff members were as they ran to help him. He returned to work a few days later (a relief to see that he was okay) and was still in great spirits, showing how hard working the staff are. Aside from service, the food was also a big hit at most restaurants, especially the pool side a la carte restaurant and the pop-up carts. Every washroom was clean and staff were cleaning constantly. The resort had a beautiful citrus fragrance. The beach was beautiful, drinks delicious and the entertainment felt like a high end/ticketed performance. They had nightly themed events and various performers. Looking forward to trying other Secret Resorts.

LOVELY couples vacation 💕 my husband and I traveled here for our first wedding anniversary and loved every second. The food was great (be aware that the restaurants have dress codes), the staff is so attentive and kind, and the resort is wonderfully luxurious. I loved the daily activities (don’t skip the nightly shows!) and the multiple pools were perfect for whatever mood you’re in. I would definitely stay here again!!
Lastly be aware that taxis are NOT cheap in this area. Budget that into your trip 👍

We had an excellent stay at Secrets Akumal. The property is beautiful and maintained very well. The service was terrific. All hotel personnel are friendly and helpful.
The service of the beach concierge was especially notable. Alejandro, services everyone with great energy and cheer. He greeted all new beach arrivals, changed towel, moved lounges into the shade and generally made everyone feel welcome.
Also had had great service from the hotel concierge, Araceli. She helped us understand the best restaurant and property event. She even stopped by to see us on the beach a couple of times to see how we were doing
We will be back next year!
