We had a fabulous time at this resort. From the room to the food and exceptional service. I can’t say enough about how the staff really looks after you and wants to make your stay so personal and enjoyable. Rooms are clean and well kept. The staff (Sharon) at the quiet pool take great care of you. Remembering your drink requests from day to day and where you like to sit & having your towels on the chair waiting for you and sharing about the local areas of town to visit. The food at each restaurant was truly a gastronomic experience. The concierge in each building check on you daily. Cesar Montoya, you should be so proud of the staff you have on your resort, they are an amazing group of people. Thank you for taking time to visit with us poolside and listen to our personal story about our stay.. we will be trying more Secrets by Hyatt as we continue our travels. Thank you! The Woods’

My husband and I visited Secrets Akumal earlier this month for a 4 night stay. We were blown away! This was the 3rd Secrets that we have stayed at over the years and it was the best by far. The resort grounds are lush and gorgeous, the ambience of each of the three pools was perfect to match our mood for the day (party/active, relaxed but lively, and calm/tranquil). The beach was not good for swimming, but we good to snorkel and see sea turtles and other marine life which more than made up for it. All of the staff at the resort are excellent. We especially appreciated Ana, Jesus, and Velvet that did service at the pools while we were there. The entertainment team was fun and I enjoyed Spanish lessons with Alan. The food was also very good. Great variety of restaurants and good options at the buffets. I don’t think the resort was at capacity, so we never had an issue with wait times to get into the restaurants, but this could be different if the result was full.

We just left after a wonderful week long stay. The food, the rooms, and the activities all exceeded our expectations. We were blown away by the hospitality of the staff and the beautiful property. While there we booked services at the spa, which was incredible and was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. We also did a snorkeling tour through the hotel and saw so many beautiful turtles. We also loved the quiet pool and the food at himatsu, Santorini, the patio and protofino. We both agreed that the food was some of the best we’ve ever had at an all inclusive and the menu was quite impressive. Overall we would highly recommend a stay at Secrets Akumal and we hope to visit again soon.

This was our first time at an all-inclusive, as we normally like to explore the local area with little time at the resort, but this was worth every penny! Everyone was so kind, the food was SO good (especially the buffet, Italian, and Asian), the pools were wonderful and not very crowded, service was great, room was comfortable, having a swim out was awesome…I can’t say enough good things! Best of all, I forgot some prescriptions and was able to work with the concierge after we left to get them back. They were so kind, helpful, communicative, and thorough, and I was SO glad to be able to go grab them before we went back home! A 12/10 experience and would love to come back! Relaxing, comfortable, fun…everything you’d want and more!

This was my second time at Secrets Akumal! This resort is full of beautiful, lush tropical areas, 3 amazing pools for different vibes and experiences, and delicious restaurants to choose from! We stayed in a Preferred club ocean view room in building 4 right above the preferred club. Their lounge is really small, and check in was kind of long, but they have drinks and snacks while you wait. We did snorkeling by our selves and it was some of the best snorkeling we have ever done! Beautiful coral reefs and fish to see! There was seaweed, but for the most part, the water was clear to enjoy, with seaweed being cleaned up on the beach. Rooms were starting to look slightly dated, but the beds were comfortable! The entertainment team was so sweet and fun! We really enjoyed painting turtles with Arantxa. She was so kind and we enjoyed getting to know her. Alfredo at santorini restaurant was wonderful as well as Raul at the portofino (our favorite meal). Francisco and Antonio around the pool 2 were amazing and always there if you needed them! Lastly, Karen was our concierge and she was so sweet to make our anniversary special! So happy I chose this resort for our special day, look forward to coming back in the future.
