This was our first time at this hotel. Our family of four stayed in a room that initially had only one bed, but later they brought in two separate ones. However, upon checking in, we discovered dirt on the toilet rim. We were tired after the flight, so we didn't change rooms. I'd like to immediately commend the cleaner who did an excellent job cleaning our room – thank you to him! The room itself was old, but we decided not to change it because we didn't want to pay a bribe. The food was good, with a large selection, and they grilled food for dinner. The hotel grounds are huge, but there was renovation work going on in some areas, and in others, they were painting the roads red (honestly, I don't understand the point of painting roads red; it looks strange). The hotel has two main restaurants for full meals: Panorama and Orchid. There's no difference between them, except that Panorama doesn't make Viennese waffles for breakfast and it's always much less crowded there. The food was okay, but not very diverse. Regarding the staff: 1. As soon as we checked into the hotel, we were offered to give a bribe to the receptionist to change our room for $150. 2. The animators were annoying. It's very irritating when you're minding your own business and they distract you, try to sign you up for some activity, and don't leave even if you ask them to. 3. Strange behavior from some employees. In the Panorama restaurant, one of the cooks tried to flirt with me and was staring insistently at my chest. For me, this is unacceptable for staff at a hotel of this level. I noticed him flirting with many female guests on multiple occasions. Overall, I liked the hotel grounds; the pools and evening lighting are very beautiful. Unfortunately, the aquapark is old and needs renovation. I really liked the fish on the reef; they are super cute! I can generally recommend this hotel for family vacations, but I would advise couples to find something more calm and secluded.

Extremely disappointing stay – serious hygiene and service issues I stayed at Sea Beach Edge by Rotana (formerly Sea Beach Aqua Park) and unfortunately the experience was extremely poor, especially considering this appears to be under new ownership. Cleanliness was unacceptable. The room was clearly not cleaned properly. I found multiple hairs in the bedding and visible stains on the pillows, giving the strong impression that the bedding had not been replaced after previous guests. This is basic hotel hygiene and completely unacceptable. Air conditioning and air quality were alarming. The AC unit was very noisy, and the vents were full of mould, dust, dirt, and even spider webs, all of which guests are expected to breathe in. I have photos as evidence. This is a serious health concern, not just a comfort issue. Bathroom conditions were disgusting. The toilet area was filthy, particularly behind the toilet. The shattaf (bidet sprayer) was broken, making the bathroom unpleasant and unhygienic. Poor and unreliable Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and often did not work at all, making it impossible to rely on for even basic use. Unacceptable treatment at checkout. The hotel refused to allow my pre-booked pickup taxi to enter the hotel, forcing me to take my luggage outside the gate with a 7-year-old child. What made this worse is that the same taxis are allowed inside when dropping off arriving guests. This clearly shows that the hotel prioritises new arrivals and shows little care for guests who are leaving. Overall, this stay was far below any reasonable standard. Cleanliness, health, and basic guest consideration were all lacking. A change in ownership should mean improvement, but sadly that was not the case here. I would not recommend this hotel until major improvements are made in hygiene, maintenance, and guest service.

We have just returned from a week at Edge by Rotana Sea Beach & Aquapark, and overall our experience was very positive, especially traveling with young children. The resort is large and well organized. Our room was fantastic, spacious and comfortable for a family. A very special thank you to Kareem A. Hamid from housekeeping: the cleanliness was absolutely impeccable, and thanks to him our room was always perfectly tidy, fresh, and welcoming. His dedication and attention to detail really made the difference.The private beach is beautiful and ideal for families. There are plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas. The sea is stunning, and the jetty makes snorkeling easy and safe. The Aquapark is definitely one of the highlights of the resort. The slides, water attractions, and pools kept our children entertained for hours. Everything is clean and well supervised by lifeguards. It can get busy at times, but that’s expected in a family-focused resort. The entertainment team is excellent. The hotel’s massage and spa service is absolutely outstanding—well equipped, peaceful, and extremely professional. A special thank you to Kareem, my massage therapist, who was exceptional at understanding all my needs. His skill, sensitivity, and ability to tailor the treatment perfectly to my requests made the experience truly relaxing and beneficial. One of the best massage experiences I’ve had in a resort. A special mention to Nikita, who was incredible throughout our stay—full of energy, always sweet with the kids, and very professional. We also want to give a special mention to Mohamed Sallam at the reception, who welcomed us warmly and supported us with great professionalism. He was always helpful, friendly, and attentive, making our daily requests smooth and pleasant. A heartfelt special mention to Abdo at the bar, who treated us with outstanding courtesy throughout our stay. He always made us feel like VIP guests, serving us with great care, kindness, and professionalism. His warm attitude and impeccable service truly elevated our experience. The main restaurant offers a good variety of dishes, especially for breakfast. The quality can be a bit inconsistent, with some meals better than others, but there’s always something suitable for everyone. The themed restaurants are a pleasant alternative, though not gourmet-level. If you’re looking for a relaxing and fun family holiday, with a beautiful sea, great pools, a fantastic aquapark, and exceptionally caring staff, Edge by Rotana is an excellent choice. A special thanks to Nikita, Mohamed Sallam, Abdo, and especially Kareem A. Hamid, who truly made our stay unforgettable.

Overall good hotel, food is great, especially for vegetarians. Really good cakes and pastries too. Changes a bit everyday too. They give you to try 2 different a la carte restaurants during your stay, we choose Italian and Mexican, went to Italian at first, but don’t recommend because the food is pretty much the same as in main restaurant and you need to wait long, so in the end we didn’t go to Mexican. Beach is good, there are two places to see fish, one is closer in ponton can even see lion fish and eel, but in the end of ponton, which is quite a walk 900 m is really spectacular coral Riff with a lot of different fish. Only downside is that from 7 days it was open only 2 because of high north winds. Staff is very friendly and helpful, there are so many workers taking care of everything all the time. Everything is clean. Alchohol is okay, depends on the bar, the best cocktails were at reception bar so far. Beer and wine so so. The Christmas decorations were really pretty. Didn’t really like that the workers are desperate to get you to massage or a photoshoot or other service. Room cleaning guy Ezz made really pretty decorations :) Have animation team with activities every day like yoga, Zumba, stretching, water aerobics and evening shows. Also if interested going to bars, clubs outside there is a transfer some days from hotel.

Hotel was great. Our room was nice, a little dated. We had a lovely view of the pool! Pillows were too big and firm, I had to sleep with no pillow for the duration of the stay or suffer from neck ache. Staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. Private beach, plenty of pools to choose from. Spa could do with refreshing and updating. Food was good, however I did get a upset stomach after an evenings meal which meant I had to miss an excursion that I had booked the next day, which was annoying.
