Extremely dangerous. My friend was violently attacked in this hotel. A close friend of mine was staying at SBH Monica Beach Resort when something truly horrifying happened. On her very first night, just hours after checking in, she was violently attacked in her ground-floor hotel room while sleeping. She had left her balcony door slightly open because the room was extremely stuffy. During the night, an unknown man entered and assaulted her: She was hit on the head multiple times with a blunt object. Her finger was cut to the bone with a knife, then broken. Her wrists were injured. Her head was severely wounded, requiring 11 metal staples. Her arm was put in a cast. She was covered in bruises and rushed to intensive care. Security footage confirmed the presence of a man near her room at the time of the attack. The case is now being investigated by the police. And yet — the hotel staff did absolutely nothing to help her. They refused to call an ambulance — other guests had to do it. They had no first-aid kit, no staff trained in first aid, not even ice to reduce bleeding. No apology was ever given. They even suggested she might have imagined the attack, despite visible injuries and police presence. The only people who helped were other guests, who gathered her belongings, called emergency services, and made sure she got to the hospital with clothes and ID. Without them, she would’ve been left helpless. This hotel is not safe. There is no proper emergency protocol, and zero compassion or responsibility from management. If you value your safety — avoid this place at all costs.

A mixed bag to be honest. The hotel isn't bad, so don't immediately discount a visit. The location and beach are fantastic. The rooms are a bit tired and dated - someone had been let loose with some silicone sealant in our bathroom and you could tell. Just minor repairs here and there would make a big difference. 2 out of 3 urinals in the main reception were bagged over and out of use all week whilst we were there. In the smaller pool toilets, tiles were hanging off the wall (could have hurt a child if they fell). There was also a big electrical unit near the toilets that was uncovered and could easily have been messed with. The pools are great, the kids love the slide one. The restaurant is both good and bad. Good - great selection of food, something different most days...the pizzas are great. Bad - I was served raw pork one day and nobody seemed bothered (and I mean raw). Also, my wife is GF and the staff were putting products with gluten in under the GF sign. Again, when this was pointed out, they weren't bothered. You have to ask for GF bread in a morning (which my wife says is good), but no other products were offered. Then on the last day, they gave GF muffins, donuts and cakes! Families of 4 or more struggle to get a table because of selfish people (singular or couples) sitting at tables of 4. The safe is a €20 deposit and you need a little device to stick in to activate it. The glasses for the drinks are frustratingly small. I know that's probably to discourage binge drinking, but it'd be good if they were a bit bigger. The entertainment and animation team were good. I know it sounds like I'm slating it, but it is worth visiting. The area is nice, the beach is perfect. Visit it.

The worst hotel experience imaginable – stay far away This hotel is an absolute nightmare. A violent assault happened inside one of the rooms – a guest was brutally attacked while sleeping alone. She suffered serious head injuries, a broken and slashed finger, and her entire upper body was covered in bruises. She ended up in intensive care. And what did the hotel staff do? Nothing. • They refused to call an ambulance – other guests had to insist. • They didn’t help in any way. No first aid kit, no trained staff, not even basic supplies like ice. • They didn’t offer any support or take responsibility. • They refused airport transfer afterward. • They never apologized. • Even worse – they suggested the victim was imagining things or mentally ill, despite obvious physical injuries. This was said in front of the police. This is not just poor service. This is gross negligence and cruelty. No one is safe here. The hotel failed at the most basic level – protecting and supporting a guest in a life-threatening emergency. Avoid this place like the plague. No holiday is worth this trauma

What an amazing holiday for my 50th birthday. From start to finish the holiday went so smoothly. The flights and transfers were right on time to the lovely destination. SBH Monica Beach Resort is set on the stunning Playa Jandia beach in Costa Calma. South of the gorgeous island that is Fuerteventura. We stayed for 7 nights from 02/04/25 - 09/04/25 and opted for the all inclusive package. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and had a lovely terrace seating area. It was a 5 minute walk (through the resort) to the beach. We enjoyed fabulous weather ranging from 26'C on the day that we landed and steadily increased to 34'C on the day that we left. The food was amazing with so much choice (I'm vegetarian and there were so many options) and lots of available seating too. The drinks options within our package were great too. Amstel lager on tap, lovely white wine, Cava and a great selection of cocktails too. As well as a great selection of non alcoholic drinks. All the staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. I would have no hesitation in booking again 5* A+++

The worst service and staff in the world can be found at this establishment. A guest was attacked in their hotel, and they refused to call an ambulance, even though it was obvious that the girl needed urgent medical attention — her head was smashed, and her fingers were cut to the bone. Later, the hotel management accused the girl of making the whole thing up and even claimed she had schizophrenia! What kind of service is this? If you value your life, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel!
