Rooms are extremely dated and run down. No kettles, water or anything in Rooms. Wouldn’t provide a kettle either. Snacks are very limited. Couldn’t get any hot drinks/refreshments until 0800. Food during meal times was good, plenty of variety and always fresh/hot This resort definitely caters more towards Germans than anyone else. 90% of the entertainment was German. Enjoyed the location although there is very little to do in the area, very quite Definitely not 4 star, would say 2/3 at a push. Would not return

Everything was just perfect but the best for us were the animation team with Emily and her 2 other work collegues. They made our holiday very special. I wish all hotels had workers like these 3 entertainers. We wish them all the best for the future. Kevin & Tania.

Where to start? THE BEST BIT: Leaving to go home. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon and were looking for flights to come home on the Wednesday. It was so boring as little to no entertainment during the day and the evenings were not catered for British. BAD BITS: The worst holiday we've ever been on. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star. With the things we noticed on a week's holiday, imagine what a professional would see, they would have the hotel shut down. We really didn't enjoy the hotel or atmosphere. DANGEROUS: There are many broken tiles around the complex including in the swimming pool - this could easily cause injury if someone didn't notice - It's really hard not to notice the damage. There are crumbling walls, paint peeling off, and generally looks tired and dated. The food on offer is the same every day, with the exception of the fish and meat dish which changes. A lot of the food is barely warm and food that should be crispy, is soft & soggy ie: hash browns, roasted potatoes. AVOID the chicken Kebab they offer - slime fest. The best food we tasted were the American style pancakes, the croissants and garlic bread - but you can't go wrong when you buy it in. Our room was spacious but dated. We had a pool/sea view room which had a spacious balcony, fake grass with table and chairs - The plastic chairs were broken between the slats so as you sat on them and then stood back up, skin on the back of your legs got stuck between the plastic and it was very painful. Only noticed this on day 3. Although the hotel website does tell you there is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, this is quite an issue if you want a hot drink before bed or first thing in the morning. This means you need to wait for the restaurant to open for breakfast to have a hot drink.. We were not told otherwise. The evening entertainment IF YOU CAN CALL IT THAT, consisted of a NO SHOW SINGER, two Dj's one of which played mostly German songs and euro pop, a music quiz, again, the first eight songs were German at this point we walked out when the 8th one started playing, poke bingo - we walked out on and karaoke, we didn't attend. There is no Volley Ball pitch as advertised - we were really looking forward to playing this and was really disappointed to learn no pitch setup or available. When ordering drinks at the bar in the evenings, staff were serving people from the back of the queue because they were being tipped 5euro. As a Brit, I felt very alienated and treated differently, you could say racist. I'm appalled by the way my husband and I were treated on this holiday. SHAME ON YOU SBH Taro Beach and the staff.

Generally a fine hotel but it does not excel in any category except location. You will be happy if you spend your time at the beach or on day trips in a rental car. Rooms are due for a makeover. Pool area is small and people will reserve their place before dawn without arriving until well into the day. Food misses flavour, spices and is not very local. We feel like cooks never tasted „the original“ because everything looks nice but tastes only mediocre.

The hotell is good generally the worst down side is the rooms above the bar is like a smoking chamber. Once you open the balcony door all smoke from below fills your room.There are small smoking signs which the management do not enforce. Where do they expect non smokers to relax? There should be a designated smoking area way from rooms. I did not enjoy the balcony view at all and the swimming pool.Mind you see view rooms come with extra cost. The management should remove all ashtrays from area below the rooms and have a one fixed ashtray away from rooms and also the swimming pool, or make the hotel smoking one so that non smokers do not book.I experienced the worst encounter with smokers for 7 days.Instead of relaxing I had to keep on watching my surroundings to move away from smokers.This hotel should follow the European guidelines on smoking.Passive smoking is dangerous.
