Great location. Beatiful private beach. Amazing food and drinks. Catering staff were amazing and always smiling not matter what. However, cleaning staff clearly not doing they jobs. Cigaretes buts all around the hotel, lots of broken glasses, used toilet paper/tissue, cockroaches. Outside rooms smell of sewage. I guess it's something to do with plants watering system. It looks like mix of water with sewage. I guess that's also where the mosquitos are breeding. When a complaint was made at the hotel reception, I was advised that smell comes from the local cats... no comment. Air-con system in the rooms are in reality some very old ventilation system that barely works. Nowhere closs an air-con for sure. When the temperature hit aroud 30 Celsius outside, the rooms are very hot. If you open window it smells and over night you got eaten alive by mosquitoes because there isnt any window nets, my daughther had 20+ bites all over her body after just one night! And my wifes whole back had bites all over too. A lot of sunbeds are broken and very dirty along with the umbrellas there is absolutely not enough for all of guests at the hotel. Seen some families laying on the ground as no sunbeds available because families leave their towels on fhe sunbeds ovednight so they can reuse them the next day. Its really frustrating that the life guard isnt told to get rid of them or that there isnt a policy that states you cannot leave your stuff at the pool overnight. The furniture inside the rooms is very old and falling apart. Wifi is constantly out, and no mobile phone signal (which is understanding as ws are on an island in the middle of nowhere. Definetly not a 4 star hotel it shouldnt be advertised as one as it is false advertisement. None of the photos of the hotel look like how the hotel does now. In addition, the last reward that ive spotted on the wall in reception is from 2018. The lady in the reception barely knows how to handle loads of customers ans shouldnt be on shift alone, especially during the night where majority of people are arriving and departing. I also find it outragous how the manager only comes in for 2 hours whenever they please. Overall, the only good thing about the hotel is the food and the view.

First of all the positives. Staff excellent hard working and were extremely helpful. Rooms were a good size and very clean. Food choice in the restaurant and snack bar was excellent. Negatives. No drinking water in the rooms. You had to purchase water either from machines or from the on site shop. Hotel itself is very tired and needs renovating. Not enough staff to cover everything expected of them. Location. It’s in the middle of nowhere. It’s an hour’s walk to the nearest shop. There is a bus service from outside the hotel.

We travelled as a family and booked four rooms. At first everything seemed fine – great view and location – but unfortunately our experience turned very disappointing when money disappeared from two of our rooms. About €150 went missing from ours, and £30 + €15 from another. We had actually rented a safe, but it never worked. We reported it, got the rental fee refunded, but the hotel didn’t fix it or provide an alternative. After the theft, an incident report was made, but we were told there are no cameras on our floor, and that the staff are “trustworthy”. At first the receptionist even denied that anything similar had ever happened before, but later admitted that it has happened multiple times, and suggested that “maybe another guest climbed in through the balconies”. We were shocked to hear this explanation on the 5th floor. Even more suspicious, the other room that was robbed always had the “do not disturb” sign on the door, yet one day the cleaner still knocked and tried to come in. For a 4-star hotel, we expected much greater security and professionalism. Instead of taking responsibility, the hotel only offered me a police appointment. They also questioned whether we really had the money in the first place, which felt very unfair and dismissive. Who wants to spend their last holiday day at the police station instead of enjoying their trip? In the end, we left with our money gone, no compensation, and no real support from the hotel. It’s a shame, because this place could be great, but the whole experience left us feeling unsafe and very disappointed. If you plan to stay here, be extremely careful with your valuables – don’t trust the safes or the rooms.

During our stay at SBH Paraiso Playa, we were truly impressed by the exceptional service provided by Giovanni, one of the restaurant bartenders. From the very beginning, he stood out with his professionalism, friendly attitude, and genuine care for guests. Giovanni was always attentive, remembered our preferences, and made every drink a pleasant experience. His positive energy and warm smile created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at home. Whether it was he consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied and comfortable. It’s rare to find someone who combines efficiency with such a personal touch. Giovanni is a true asset to the hotel, and his excellent service added great value to our holiday. Thank you, Giovanni, for making our stay even more memorable. We hope to see you again on our next visit!

Hello, I have mixed feelings about being robbed. On the third day of our stay, money disappeared from our wallet and purse. Of course, we reported the incident and were offered a transfer to another hotel in the same chain. We decided to stay because, despite the incident, the children felt comfortable there. We ultimately moved to a higher floor. The rooms in the forgotten wing at the end of the hotel are very vulnerable to entry from outsiders. I'm talking about rooms 226/224, etc. Unfortunately, there's no CCTV there. Besides the reception and the main entrance, there's no CCTV anywhere. You absolutely must take steps to ensure the safety of your guests and their property. The food was okay, with some minor nuances, but it was tasty and not monotonous at all. Everyone found something to their liking. The downside is that only one bar and buffet is open, as you have to climb stairs from the lower pool area and walk around the other pool. The staff were always smiling and helpful, very friendly people. I think they're the reason this hotel is still around. The hotel itself ended its heyday in the early 2000s and deserves a proper renovation. Silicone and glue won't last long :). We had a car on site, so we didn't just stay at the hotel because it's overwhelming. We explored the island and enjoyed the fresh fish and seafood. The entire trip, despite the incident, was a success; the kids returned happy and with fond memories.
