This is likely due to the generous distribution of guests across the property. We stayed in a seawater villa and were extremely satisfied with the amount of space and the level of privacy it offered. Although the neighboring villa was undergoing renovation, noise disturbance was minimal. The resort is generally very well maintained and continuously cared for. The spa treatment was excellent, the breakfast left nothing to be desired, and the restaurants were outstanding as well—though prices are on the higher end. Guests looking to save money will find good dining options outside the resort. The beach is clean and very appealing, and the fitness center is well equipped. Overall, this is an excellent resort.

Rooms where great. Although, keep in mind that having a garden view room will be nothing but the trees/jungle in the backyard. But the property is very clean and maintained , so we didn't mind this part. The wifi is great all across the property. There are multiple restaurants on this property, we tried one next to the reception. The food was good. The stay included 1500 baht worth credits that you can spend on restaurant/spa. I think these credits were enough for a decent meal and drink for two. The breakfast spread was good. There were lot of options. The swimming pool is huge and very well maintained. There is one infinity pool as well at the Saitaara restaurant which is a good sunset spot. They also arrange complimentary kayaking, Muay Thai and dancing classes. While you can enjoy the property in one night stay, I think to best enjoy this property you should book atleast 2 nights. This is quite far from chong lard pier where we were staying earlier and the taxi is almost 500-600 baht to this place.

We enjoyed our trip to the Santhiya overall. The hotel should do more to advertise its evening entertainment options - in particular their singer (who introduced himself to us as Ringo) - he is absolutely brilliant. The hotel is also a short 5 minute walk away from the town, which has a number of great food, drink, and souvenir options too. For further options, particularly for authentic Thai food, we would recommend heading into the town. Big shoutout to Ellis who was working at the Ao Po Grand Marina upon our arrival - he was incredibly welcoming!

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel like they advertise. It’s a huge resort operation and the lodging is a cool concept with all the rooms nestled in the hillside like tree houses but it’s got over 200 rooms so it’s hard to make it feel like a quaint, relaxing little resort. It takes 10-15min to shuttle back to your room. We stayed in a villa which was nice but rather expensive given the massive resort feel. The check in process was very difficult. This is when it stated to feel like Disneyland with no clue what was going on. They group you together with 15 other people and don’t tell you any type of timeline or details except your room number. From pick up at the airport at 1pm to 4pm, we were still not at our room. So much sitting and waiting with no one telling you when you’d get to your room. A piece of advice for management would be to just let your guests know what’s going on and how it’s going to work so they aren’t sitting there becoming more and more impatient. The customer service was very difficult during our entire stay. I realize it’s a small remote island but believe the customer service staff should have a basic understanding of English in order to best communicate with all guests. Unfortunately, we never felt like customer service understood our questions. I highly recommend trying all the restaurants and smoothie stands that are just a short 5min walk down the beach and avoid the overpriced resort when possible. Rent a motorbike in town for 200baht and check out the rest of the island.

Gorgeousss place. We were overwhelmed by the beauty and intricacy of this resort when we first reach. The rooms, and the overall architecture is so well done, it's a whole package. Plus the view of the sea and the beautiful sky combined with this resort is just a cherry on top. The breakfast has numerous options and is decent in taste, service is decent too. Their wooden cars and cabby services from the room to the lobby and back are well organized and the pools are amazing too. Lovely place. If you're staying at Koh Yao Yai, you should def stay at this place.
