An Unforgettable, Idyllic Escape! Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa is truly amazing from the moment you are picked up until your final departure. We stayed in a Sea Water Pool Room, which was absolutely idyllic—featuring a sparkling private pool, lush nature all around, and a full, breathtaking view of the ocean. The dining experience was equally impressive. Lunch at the main restaurant was exquisite, while the breakfast buffet offered an incredible variety of choices alongside impeccable service. As frequent travelers who visit many resorts, we can confidently say that Santhiya left a lasting impression on us. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

A truly exceptional resort and one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. We stayed in one of the private villas, and I highly recommend this option for anyone visiting. The villa offered stunning views, excellent privacy, and a unique traditional Thai design that made the experience feel authentic and luxurious at the same time. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing from the moment we arrived until departure. If you are looking for a peaceful island getaway away from the crowds, this resort is definitely worth considering. I would happily stay here again.

The hotel is truly stunning. Nestled in the jungle, it offers a spectacular setting with breathtaking views from nearly every room. The architecture and the way it blends into nature are definite highlights. Breakfast is also excellent, with a wide and varied selection that caters to all tastes. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The on-site restaurants are significantly more expensive than those nearby, yet the food quality is fairly average. This is especially disappointing for basic Thai dishes, which lack flavor and authenticity. Another downside is the music. Whether at the infinity pool or on the pier at sunset (which should be a key moment of the day), the playlists feel outdated and poorly suited to the setting. It detracts from the overall experience. More broadly, the hotel lacks a real “vibe,” particularly in the evening. A proper bar with a well-thought-out atmosphere or even a small lively spot would make a big difference in such an incredible location. Finally, while the staff are lovely and clearly well-intentioned, the service sometimes lacks training and consistency (forgotten cutlery or napkins, delays with simple requests like bringing a bottle of wine, etc.). Overall: a beautiful place with huge potential, but it could truly elevate the experience with improvements in food quality, service, and especially ambiance.

I wanted to give 5 stars, its so beautiful and the resort buildings and amenities were great. However I felt a little turned off by their customers service approaches. In the middle of my stay I got texts clarifying that my boat ride there was not included in my booking and I had to pay for it. Honestly if they just waited till I checked out it would not have affected me so much. Nothing was said by the lady who seemed very flustered and unorganized when we arrived to the marina to get on the boat to go to the island so it felt a little dirty. Our booking used the word compulsory boat ride so we assumed it was included. I was educated that it meant it was an option not complimentary. Just felt like a cash grab like the food which was overpriced. Go to town and the price is literally a quarter or more less of the amount they charged at the hotel. That is to be expected but avoid the dinner buffet which was overpriced and ehhh quality. The checkout process felt very weird, they dont even have you sit at a desk, and discuss, they come up to you with a credit card machine and it didnt feel very 5 star. The staff for check in and check out felt weak compared to the rest of the staff. The buggy service guys were good but once you get up the hill, if you stay in the hotel and not the villas you have to take another golf cart to some parts and that service was very inconsistent and hard to organize. Overall great location and feels very authentic other than the items above.

We really enjoyed our stay here from getting the boat to the island to, how stunning our room was and what amazing facilities they had. It was a big resort and you need to allow time to get around but they seem to have it all very well organised so could fault it. The rooms are stunning loved everything about them. Could have done with some more water in the rooms you get one large bottle and two small. Restruants had good level of food at a reasonable cost but did venture down the beach and eat at others to. The best part is the free muay thai class's ssdly we only got two in but wished I did more sadly we were only there three nights. They are included you just need to buy the hand wraps which I didnt see an issue with as they are yours etc.
