This is likely due to the generous distribution of guests across the property. We stayed in a seawater villa and were extremely satisfied with the amount of space and the level of privacy it offered. Although the neighboring villa was undergoing renovation, noise disturbance was minimal. The resort is generally very well maintained and continuously cared for. The spa treatment was excellent, the breakfast left nothing to be desired, and the restaurants were outstanding as well—though prices are on the higher end. Guests looking to save money will find good dining options outside the resort. The beach is clean and very appealing, and the fitness center is well equipped. Overall, this is an excellent resort.

Mass tourism and inconvenient logistics This hotel operates very much like a tourist machine. Be prepared to spend a significant amount of time being transported around the property in overcrowded pick-up trucks. The resort itself is enormous and felt highly impersonal. As a guest, you quickly get the sense of being just another number rather than someone receiving a premium hospitality experience. We stayed in a villa with a private pool. While the villa itself was beautiful, all villas and rooms are located far from the beach and main lobby. Getting there requires waiting for a pick-up truck to take you to one stop, then often transferring to another truck to continue the journey — essentially set up like a bus network. The hilly terrain makes the ride bumpy, and you are packed closely together with other guests. The entire experience feels uncomfortable, overly crowded, and takes far too long. We had hoped to rent a scooter to explore the island independently and make getting around easier by parking it outside our villa. This was not allowed, and scooters had to be parked far outside the resort. The setup clearly discourages guests from leaving the property at all until check-out. Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations of a luxurious, premium stay. The rooms and villas are undeniably stylish and offer great views, but at a rate of 21,500 THB per night, that should be a given — not the highlight.

The most amazing hotel I've stayed at. Rooms are lovely, staff are extremely friendly and helpful make you feel so welcome here. The location is stunning. Its located on a pretty big hill and the free cars to get up and down are very frequent so never a long wait. The only negative thing I can say really is the hotel prices for food and drinks are much more expensive than local bars and restaurants but still cheaper than where I'm from and where I live so can't complain. The provided breakfast is really good, theres something for everyone and the selection chages slightly every other day, the staff make fresh eggs to your liking every morning and there's also barista's tending to your coffee needs. The hotel does a great job at managing mosquito's which always love to feast on me, I barely had any bites at all during the whole of my stay. The staff do an amazing job at keeping the resort clean, you see people cleaning snd tending to the gardens throughout the day, everyday. Infinity pool is an absolute stunner and so is the other pool with the waterfall rock feature. They are kept immaculately clean. Restaurants serve brilliant food an the service is really good. The gym is also pretty good and theres a library too for anyone who likes reading. The massage area is also really good and night time candle-lit beach bays are a really nice touch. Highly recommended resort.

The hotel is beautiful… amazing uninterrupted view of the ocean from the room and the breakfast restaurant. The most amazing place! Really lovely and beautiful . Good food at all the restaurants…. A wonderful spa by the beach. But it surely needs good English speaking staff… the conversation at every level gets a bit tedious as the staff really is bad at understanding English. The to and fro bus service to the rooms is very difficult for people which one realises only after reaching there.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The island itself doesn’t have many things to do, but when you’re staying at Santhya, that’s not necessary at all. The rooms are spacious and clean, with incredible architecture and many thoughtful details that make everything feel perfect. The breakfast and restaurant are excellent, and the best part of all? The amazing staff — polite, always smiling, and making you feel truly welcome at all times. To get there, you need to take a speedboat and then a car. Tip: if you arrange the transfer in advance, it’s cheaper — the hotel mentions this clearly in the Booking.com message.
