We Stay for 3 nights for our wedding Anniversary. This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in Thailand. The area for breakfast it's fantastic so unique, and the rooms are make from wood the detail of the wood everywhere makes it so unique. The room sea view very beautiful very relax. The bar at the sunset area is stunning and the pools are great. There’s a large main pool with a waterfall and a second infinity pool. We love every minute to stay here would love to go back again.

This is likely due to the generous distribution of guests across the property. We stayed in a seawater villa and were extremely satisfied with the amount of space and the level of privacy it offered. Although the neighboring villa was undergoing renovation, noise disturbance was minimal. The resort is generally very well maintained and continuously cared for. The spa treatment was excellent, the breakfast left nothing to be desired, and the restaurants were outstanding as well—though prices are on the higher end. Guests looking to save money will find good dining options outside the resort. The beach is clean and very appealing, and the fitness center is well equipped. Overall, this is an excellent resort.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The island itself doesn’t have many things to do, but when you’re staying at Santhya, that’s not necessary at all. The rooms are spacious and clean, with incredible architecture and many thoughtful details that make everything feel perfect. The breakfast and restaurant are excellent, and the best part of all? The amazing staff — polite, always smiling, and making you feel truly welcome at all times. To get there, you need to take a speedboat and then a car. Tip: if you arrange the transfer in advance, it’s cheaper — the hotel mentions this clearly in the Booking.com message.

We stayed 4 nights in a Deluxe Sea View room at Santhiya Resort & Spa Koh Yao Yai and the biggest issue was black mold / heavy dampness throughout the room. The smell was strong and constant, and we could see mold in multiple areas (bathroom, corners, surfaces). Because the resort is largely built from wood, it feels like everything is slowly disintegrating and holding humidity, which makes the mold problem even worse. This isn’t just unpleasant — it’s a major health risk, especially for anyone with asthma, allergies, or sensitivities. Food was also a major issue if you have dietary restrictions. There was no allergen information anywhere (buffet or menus), and gluten-free options were nearly non-existent. When we asked, staff basically pointed to fruit as the solution — which is honestly ridiculous for a resort charging premium prices. Eating safely here was stressful and felt like an afterthought. And the service/logistics were extremely frustrating on departure: after checkout we waited 47 minutes for our luggage to be delivered, which meant our taxi had to wait for us. Completely unacceptable and avoidable if the resort was properly organized. Lastly, be aware the pricing feels misleading: menu prices are “net” and then extra charges are added (service/VAT). On top of that, many things you would expect to be included at a resort are additional paid extras, so the overall cost climbs fast. The views are beautiful, but a pretty location doesn’t make up for mold, poor maintenance, and management ignoring serious health and service issues. I would not return and wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone who cares about cleanliness, safety, or transparency.

Santhiya is truly a special place. Absolutely beautiful location, stunning rooms, friendly and attentive staff and overall great atmosphere. Thee resort is huge, so the main transport around the resort is by these cute little wooden cars. Our experience herr was very special, especially since we were celebrating a milestone birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make this the best experience for us. I highly recommend coming here, as it will change you life.
