We moved to Santhiya KPG after staying in Santhiya Yao Yai. Comparing the two, we enjoyed Yao Yai more. However, KPG location is still lovely. Staff are very kind, hotel is very clean, room service and all other services are amazing. Breakfast buffet was great. There is free gym, Muay Thai classes and yoga classes which is also great to have. Staff is very professional and from pick up to drop off, cleaning to activities, everything is planned very proffessionally and efficiently. It was impressive. Overall, we are very satisfied with Santhiya hotels including the KGP. We would also like to mention possible improvements. We booked the swim up room which we enjoyed throughly because the public room didn't feel as clean and bright as the swim up pool. Also, around the main pool and beach, there are lots of tiny flies that eat your fresh wounds / mosquito bites. They swarm your wounds. Even the mosquito repellent on the wounds doesn't help. And about the food, well, in our humble opinion, this is the main improvement they need in Santhiya hotels. The menu looks amazing. But the preparation needs improvements. I think they would benefit from a training from an international chef. The Thai dishes are good enough but international dishes are very poorly prepared. We had squids and a Phuket lobster. Considering the price tag, we expected a very tasty dinner night. However, both dishes were overcooked and stale because the sauce was not prepared well and they were way overcooked. Lamb chops were low quality and smelled like a male sheep instead of lamb meat. Hamburger patties felt like premade patties. Beef in massaman curry was undercooked so it was chewy. And so on. Finally, the location is a beautiful place. It has its own beautiful beach, located in perfectly green hills. But if you want to go see the island and experience the beautiful cafes of KPG, you need to ride ~30 minutes on the bike one way to join the rest of the island life. Otherwise you are limited to the resort area and the little tourist street with some restaurants and massage parlours etc. just next to the resort.

We chose this hotel mainly because of its secluded location on Koh Phangan, as well as the rooms and facilities it offers. We stayed in a spacious room with a private balcony and sea view, and the room was beautiful. The entire property is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. Some previous guests mention wear and tear, but that was not our experience at all. Everything we saw was in very good condition. The wooden buildings have a natural patina that fits the surroundings nicely. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had everything you could wish for. The location is steep, but the hotel offers frequent shuttle service. It is also possible to walk along the beach to the nearby village via a well-lit path. There was nothing we really disliked, but it may be worth being aware that although the dinner options at the hotel are varied, you can find cheaper food of equal quality in the village. It may also be worth noting that there are many trees on the property, which means there is a lot of shade from the sun. For those who mainly want to lie in the sun and get a tan, you should expect to move around a bit. Overall, we had a wonderful stay thanks to the beautiful rooms, thoughtful design, excellent facilities, friendly staff, great breakfast, and the peaceful, secluded location.

Beautiful setting, but not worth the price The room with a private pool was lovely, and breakfast was genuinely good — it’s also a nice touch that snacks are available throughout the day. That’s where the highlights end, unfortunately. The staff is abundant but undertrained. Despite being everywhere, basic requests go unresolved — a broken bulb we reported was never fixed. Check-in was a bizarre ordeal; I was made to wait an hour at reception simply because my wife hadn’t arrived yet. The pricing is hard to justify. A coconut costs 210 THB here — the same one goes for 30–50 THB in the nearby village. Food quality doesn’t come close to matching the markup. The spa was the most expensive I tried in Thailand and easily the worst. The location is stunning, and the property has real potential — but until the service and value catch up, I wouldn’t recommend it

We love it here! The rooms are fabulous and very unique. You honestly dont have to leave your villa (we have the sea view pool villa) as you just have everything you need. Own pool which is super clean and quite big, outdoor bath which is super nice at night, enough different seating places indoor and outdoor to lay around and read. We came for a relax and thats what we got. Food and drink is better than what we have experienced on our other resort restaurants. Across all areas, bfast and pool bar and dinners. Price is always higher in hotels than on the street but we havent minded as the quality has been good. The little walk along the beach to the village is easy and well lit and nice after a dinner and full belly. The only thing I would say is it would be very challenging resort for people with mobility issues. Even bad knees or hips etc. It is VERY hilly and steps. There is a 24 hour cart that can take you to your room but to get to main pool and restaurant there is lots of steps. Also getting up and out of the back of the carts would be hard for bad knees etc. That is not a fault just and FYI as it would effect someone's experience. We had no issues though and loved our whole experience. Last day here today and we feeling a little sad to think its coming to an end. Its been just what we needed.

We stayed at Sinthaya Hotel as a young couple in our early thirties. We’re well-traveled, design- and art-minded, and tend to notice details, for better or worse. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is clearly not new, but it has a certain faded charm. The spa deserves a special mention. Yes, treatments are pricier than what you’ll find outside the resort, but the space itself is beautiful, serene, and well kept. Food at the hotel was good and perfectly fine, though not particularly memorable. With so many local and more authentic restaurants nearby, we often chose to eat outside, where the culinary scene is simply more exciting. One important note for future guests: while the stay is enjoyable, the standard does not fully align with a Western five-star experience. This was clear to us in advance and felt appropriate within the local context but it’s worth keeping in mind when setting expectations.
