We had a wonderful experience. The new Asana Indian cuisine was hands down the best meal ever had at Playacar! The flavours were amazing! The food, experience, and service at IL Piemonte was our absolute favourite. The Italian food was so delicious all the courses were sooo good! We even had a table side song with an incredibly talented man. The only short fall was that you needed to scan a QR code for a menu and we had only brought one phone for 4 of us to use. Would love a printed menu but otherwise an exceptional experience!

A beautiful resort to spend a family vacation! Perfect all inclusive to go with kids. We had an amazing week in the family section. The room was clean and room service was everyday. Pools were clean and kids enjoyed being on slides. We as parents got a much needed break with the unlimited drinks and snacks. We really loved the Italian and French restaurant. Buffet had an amazing variety to choose for! We would highly recommend taco station at Festival buffet! The servers were so kind and helpful. Please tip generously as they totally deserve all the tips ! Beach is so pristine and the azure greenish blue water is a treat for the eyes!😍 Our biggest issue was booking the restaurants since they were never available and for that only Royal Elite members get the advantage! The guest services helped us get a few when we told them about it!!!

We traveled with our 2 small children and 2 other families. Overall, it was a wonderful stay! Some things I want to point out- the place is massive! You will reach your step count in a day even if you feel like you've been lounging all day. The shuttle system isn't the greatest and you will wait a while. We just walked because it was quicker. The restaurants and buffet are great! You will need to work some magic on getting dinner reservations. Since we booked with Expedia, we had extra assistance and they helped us with reservations. The Brazilian restaurant was the best! The waterparks are a little misleading in the pictures- this resort has two waterparks in different locations, but they are on the smaller side, so your preteens and teens are not going to have very much fun on those. Apparently, the big waterpark is at the other Sandos resort. The pools were kind of chilly and not heated. The hot tub section by the spa looked amazing, but you have to pay $28USD per person to use so we avoided that! We enjoyed the Cupcake cafe for sweets and coffee. We were happy they were able to accommodate a room switch in order to be closer to our friends. The rooms were decent. They could use a trash can in the main part of the room not just the bathrooms. Housekeepers did a great job cleaning daily. Our sliding glass door to our balcony was also extremely hard to open and close (room 8329). Room service food orders took about 45 mins. Ramero that did our water aerobics class was fantastic!!! They need more entertainment though! The shows at night were awesome along with the night club. We didn't sign our kids up for the kid's club because they needed socks to wear and they needed passports to check your kids in. It was a hassle. There aren't many shopping options or stores at this resort and the two shops we did find are EXTREMELY expensive ($15 for 1 box of bandages). Overall, we would come back!!

Karen and Mariano Bisente from the Gourmet royal elite breakfast staff were incredible. 5 stars for their service every day we had breakfast. They were very personable and responded to all our requests. The service was fast and perfect! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. I put 3 stars for the rooms because our room hacienda 6407 was missing one towel hanger, the sinks both leaked around them and the hair dryer was not working. Otherwise beautiful facilities. We loved our time here.

Dinner at the Gourmex this evening was amazing - Leydi was an excellent server! We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We were here 2 years ago and this time was fabulous, the menu is different and my whole family of 4 (with 2 children and one is quite picky) found something that they loved. Delicious!
