The rooms on the hillside are nicely renovated. Our butler Richard was awesome. We enjoyed tennis lessons with Chris. Our housekeeper Alloreg (sp?) did an excellent job. Overall a great stay. Only downside was the traffic to arrive at the resort from Montego Bay.

This was our first time to a Sandals. Overall, we had a great time. Service was good until we were leaving and no one showed up to help with our luggage at the time they said they would be there, so we had to get it down on our own. The room was a bit dirty with things we didn't even have, so we knew it was not from us, and lots of hair under the sink. We could not get the curtains to work so I had to get up on a chair in the morning and evening to open and close them, a real pain, I am too old for that. Shower knob was all but broken, it barley turned on and off the water, it even failed twice. Two of the lights did not work at all. We were right over the restaurant and so we were woke up every morning to them getting things ready. This place is pretty old and needs some attention. This is not what I expect from a 5-star resort that charged me a $1000.00 a night. The food was over the top great at all places and service was pretty good overall. There is a real shortage of trash cans on the premises not sure why. Cats are everywhere and even on tables at times, I even saw one coming out of the kitchen, and this is 5 star service??? The activities were all great and fun, a bit short on most things you did, they were about 30 minutes, and you were told to be back with the item. Then it would just set and wait for the next customer. People were very nice and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay. Our room on the hillside part of the property was lovely. It had a small private pool. A kitchenette, well stocked fridge and liquor, they even provided cake to celebrate our anniversary! The staff was the best! They went above and beyond to make us feel like we were truly welcomed. We would definately return!

We were amazed at how nice everything still was after the hurricane. The Jamaican people talked to about the hurricane said this is the worst in history, absolutely record breaking. We have stayed at this resort 4 times now. We always stay in the villa's. We are not big party people and we really appreciate a quiet environment. The grounds are just beautiful! The beds are large and comfortable! The staff are friendly and accommodating. We have done cruises, bus tours, obviously resorts and traveled all over the world. This is our favorite place, this island, this resort.

We had a great time at Sandals Ochi on our couples trip! Unfortunately, it rained for most of the week, so we weren’t able to enjoy the water sports we had planned. Pros: The resort grounds were absolutely beautiful. I loved all the plants and flowers, and it was clear how hard the staff worked to keep everything clean after the storms. The rooms were nice and very clean, and room service did a great job tidying up every day. Kelly’s, Valentino’s, and Le Gourmand all had great food. The entertainment was amazing. The circus and drumming performances were highlights, and Lady Cher was an incredible singer at the Rabbit Hole. We enjoyed listening to her three different times during our stay. Cons: For the most part, the staff were very kind and welcoming. However, we did have a few interactions with staff members who seemed short or dismissive. As a young couple, we sometimes felt we weren’t taken seriously. While some comments may have been intended as playful or teasing, we frequently heard remarks about how we look like teenagers, which became uncomfortable over time. We are also hard of hearing, and some staff appeared annoyed when we asked for things to be repeated. Their voices were very soft, which made it even more difficult. One waiter at Valentino’s snapped at us and rolled their eyes several times, which was disappointing. Additionally, we chose not to drink alcohol on this trip. While we understand that this is uncommon at an all-inclusive resort, we felt judged at times and even noticed laughter when we declined alcohol. It would be nice if the resort offered more mocktail options or encouraged staff to be more accommodating and understanding of guests who choose to be sober. The resort is about a 90-minute drive from the airport, which can feel especially long after traveling by plane, so it’s something to keep in mind. Lastly, the resort is very large and may not be ideal for guests with physical disabilities. Getting around often requires shuttles, which I personally didn’t love. Overall, it was a really fun vacation. I just wanted to share some honest feedback and a few areas that could be improved.
