Lets me start with letting you guys know that my experience was during hurricane mellisa. From he first time stepping off the plane, 5 star experience sandals lounge with red stripe and red stripe light on tap. The staff all were overly amazing. Then the strorm hit wrecked the the place. At this point I would like to give them 7 stars. The way the staff took care of us during this storm not being able to get ahold of there own families while displaying smiles and comfort for us. I would like to make two huge shout outs to Vernon which I believe was the general manager stayed very professional and also went above in beyond keeping us updated and always accessible. Daneree which luckily happened to be our neighbor was so comforting, informative, genuine, a absolutely breathe of fresh air and again i repeat she was also a person who didnt know if her family was safe or still went out her way every chance she got to make sure we was good and tht includes the whole staff. All the days we wasnt able to fly out was complimentary which later I found out alot of places charged a distress rate ate 700 dollars but not sandals. They fed us everyday 3 meals one being oxtails and and another being surf and turf this is my first experience in Jamaica and sandals. Im here to say the best experience of customer experience I've ever saw. I strongly recommend every visit this resort its worth it. Ill definitely be booking with them again.

We loved sandals for our honeymoon!!! We were there in July 2025 and everyone made us feel so at home. The entertainment staff at this resort was ASTOUNDING!!! They truly felt like family and I definitely am so grateful because it felt like home away from home. What a great establishment. The food was awesome and my husband and I had a great time. I will say food service is a little slow but that’s as expected because you’re on “island time”. But other than that, amazing! Thank you Sandals!!!

I will start by saying those who complain- you’re the problem 1. You can’t get any better than being 7 minutes from the airport with a prompt pickup after sliding through Club Mobay 2. The second we hit the resort (this is our 7th Sandals stay) everyone could not have been nicer, every single person/staff we encountered would say hi- ask how the day was- if we needed anything 3. The food actually was pretty good. Keep in mind- portions are smaller than home (which is prob for the best) but we didn’t have a bad meal. Got into Butchs twice/ they recently updated their menu and I LOVED IT (also they now offer a sit down breakfast which I think is new) 4. Get the signature roll from Soy 5. Get the Espresso Martini from the bar next to Soy/Butchs 6. To our butlers Dalton & Cassandra. Thank you. Thank you for being the warm, stress free energy we both needed. Thank you for the incredible lunches, the small details that made our anniversary trip unforgettable and the daily hugs (Cassandra). You have the most tiring job but you do it with a smile on your face and I wanted to let you know how much you are appreciated 7. Take care of the orange kitty Book the trip- make the memories and can’t wait to see you all again soon!!!

I have to share my horrible experience as a warning to anyone potentially booking with Sandals resorts in general. Before I tell my story let me start by saying I understand weather and storms are out of their control but how they handle things going forward is. I had booked my Honey Moon at Sandals Montego Bay for November of 2025. Due to the hurricane we were not able to go. I called them to reschedule and selected a request for a call back. I made that call 3 times with no call back. I then called again and waited on hold for 2 hours and 18 minutes only to get disconnected as soon as someone picked up. I then called back again the next day, this time I sat on hold for 3 hours and 21 minutes before I finally spoke with someone. I successfully moved my trip to approximately the same time the following year. Here we are in March of 2026 and I receive correspondence from Sandals stating that they are making massive renovations to the properties in the area and they will not be ready in time for my travel dates. These dates are the only dates I could make this type of trip and Jamaica, simply put is where we wanted to go. I called to process a refund of the trip which they were willing to do but they refused to refund the cost of my trip insurance. Granted the trip insurance cost is not a lot of money but it is $250 that they are basically stealing from me. I did not cancel the first trip….the resort was destroyed, not their fault. I rescheduled, this time they are not able to honor the booking dates which is their fault, not mine. I should be refunded my full trip cost including my insurance fee. I spoke to a supervisor as well. Nobody cares. Terrible customer service and a guaranteed way to lose a customer forever.

Had to move rooms 3 times during our 3 night stay since the first room was infested with flies, mosquitos, and slugs. There were dead bugs on the bed and pillows when we got there. We were waiting for a new room for hours and got upgraded to a nicer suite (they should’ve just left us there) but nope. Kelsey found us the next day and told us we needed to move immediately to a different room. We got our things packed and then needed to wait for the other room to be ready. The third room we moved to still had bugs and a gross musty/vinegar smell that was embedded into the wood but we didn’t want to move again so we stayed. They lost someone in our party’s luggage for 2+ hours. There weren’t only bugs in our room, but they were everywhere around the resort. When eating at the buffet, swarms of flies would follow you, and granted everything is outside, its an abnormal amount of bugs that leads you to believe it’s a cleaning issue. The only food that was good was the omelette station at the buffet, the jerk chicken shack and most things from Soy. Every time we spoke with staff, they were rude, arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful. For how much money you’re paying per night, the staff, food, and accommodations should be top notch. Also, not to mention you are right next to the airport and hear planes landing and taking off at all hours of the day. We will never go back, we came to the Half Moon resort and this trip did a complete 180. Clean rooms, attentive and kind staff, and the food is AMAZING. It is not all inclusive but the price difference makes up for it. Don’t go to Sandals!!
