Probably the best elegant, authentic, and modern Resort Hotel in Gran Canaria. My wife and I have been here during Easter Break 2025, and we visited plenty of places in the whole Canary Islands, more then 10 times over 6 years, at least twice a year. The Hotel is located in the Salobre Goldf Resort area on the South of Gran Canaria great being warmer and sunnier than other areas in the Island. It's super clean, with security and extremely calm atmosphere. Perfect to play golf as well, but also to simply relax, being surrounded from nature with great views over Gran Canaria mountains and Maspalomas sea coast, on top of being far away from tourist places, noise and doggy areas. The staff and service is great, professional, gentle and smiley. Food quality and options are great, especially when it comes to breakfast. It's a good option for dinner half boards, but we would recommend to hire a car and drive in local spanish restaurants for dinners/lunches around Puerto De Mogan which is very clean, posh and for high net worth people. The Hotel provides a lot of facilities including gym, many pools both for families and adults only areas, as well as an internally owned Spa very calm and clean, with plenty of massage options. We will come back for sure, we loved it.

We stayed for 6 nights at Salobre in the family junior suite. We would not recommend this hotel to others, as it does not live up to the 5-star expeditions and price. 1) Weeks before our arrival, we informed the hotel we will be travelling with a young baby. For that reason, we requested a room far away from the (busy) pool, and close to the restaurant. This way our baby can sleep during the day, and we would be able to dine in the evening while she would sleep. Besides that, we requested a baby bed. Upon our arrival it was a complete surprise to the staff that we were travelling with a young baby. We got a room which was on top of the noisy swimming pool, and a 6min walk from the restaurant. There was no baby bed placed in our room. It was not a welcoming start. Besides that, rooms are quite outdated. 2) Housekeeping struggles to clean all the rooms everyday. When we informed reception that we needed housekeeping, since our toilet paper was also running out, they still did not manage to clean our room. 3) Breakfast- and dinner buffets are not of 5-star quality. The orange juice is filled from plastic containers (not fresh), fruits are mostly canned, pancakes are dry. During dinner the menu cards are often wrongly placed. Meaning you should not be allergic or intolerant to any ingredient to dine here. 4) The running track at the hotel is at the Gulf court. Instructions are nowhere to be found, meaning you have to find your own way around the running court which is not a comfortable experience. 5) For several days in a row, we requested the option to extend our stay with 1 hour on the day we needed to check-out. This way our baby could still properly sleep during the day. On the day of our actual check-out we got informed that we had to leave our room at the original timeslot. The reason was that housekeeping was scheduled at 12:00h which was quite painful as we did not experience much housekeeping ourselves. A very negative goodbye

We organized a 3 day event for 15 people. All went very well. Rooms, facilites and services are great, but the absolute star of the hotel are the staff. Every single staff member is eager to help and assist with anything they can, even more when challenges arise. This event was a success and I have to thank them for it. Thank you all! We will definitively come back.

The hotel does not deliver on the promise of a high-end, all-inclusive experience. The overall quality is closer to a budget resort, though pricing suggests otherwise. The food was consistently underwhelming—bland, frequently overcooked, and lacking variety. The all-inclusive package is extremely limited, with only low-quality wine and very few drink or snack options throughout the day. It feels more like a half-board with add-ons than a true all-inclusive offer. Service was slow and inflexible. Even small requests, like getting a coffee while waiting for a transfer 20 minutes after check-out, were declined. It felt unwelcoming to the point where I genuinely wondered if I was even still allowed to use the toilets. There was very little hospitality or warmth from the staff throughout the stay. The rooms were clean, and the pool area was tidy and generally well-maintained. However, the facilities are clearly dated. Sunbeds were old and worn, and in the so-called S-Club area, many chairs had visible bird droppings. It did not reflect the standard that was advertised. I also booked a sports massage for €145, which turned out to be one of the more concerning parts of the stay. The therapist didn’t ask a single question beforehand—no check for injuries, allergies, or preferences regarding pressure or oils. For a sports massage, this lack of basic intake was surprising and unprofessional. The massage itself felt rough and improvised, with no clear technique, and I left worried I might have bruises. Again, the setup felt outdated and not in line with the premium price point. The hotel markets itself as a premium, relaxing getaway, but the reality felt more like a rigid, transaction-focused setup with little charm or atmosphere. There was no sense of ease or attention to guest experience—just rules and cut corners. In summary, the hotel looks better on paper than in reality. It lacks value for money and falls short in comfort, service, and overall guest experience. I left more annoyed than relaxed—definitely not what you hope for from a holiday. I would not stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s simply not worth your money. Addendum (in response to the hotel’s reply): I’ve seen the hotel’s response, and while it may sound polite at first glance, I find it disappointing. Rather than addressing the specific issues raised—like the lack of basic protocol during the massage or the extremely limited offering in the all-inclusive package—the response reframes everything as a matter of individual taste or personal preference. This feels dismissive and avoids accountability. Good service, especially at the price point this hotel charges, is not just about “taste”—it’s about professionalism, attentiveness, and delivering what is promised. Unfortunately, none of those were consistently present during my stay. The suggestion that I should have raised issues during my visit overlooks the fact that some shortcomings (like a badly executed massage without any intake questions) cannot be undone after the fact.

I had the absolutly perfect week at Salobre! If you’re looking for serenity, peace and relaxation this the ideal place. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Food was fresh and delicious. The whole resort pays a lot if attention to detail and comfort. Spa is an absolute must, great treatments! All in all perfect vacation and time off from home, work and stress. Coming back soon!
