Amazing hotel, hard to pick what we loved the most:
1. Service - not a surprise to have a great service in Thailand, however here we genuinely enjoyed smoothness. Staff seemed genuinely pleased to help us out. Our kid was sick and they were very helpful in arranging clinic appointment. We once got a wrong meal and the lady at the restaurant didn't charge us for next meal as a form of apology, which was very nice as a gesture.
2. Amenities - pools are fantastic. So large and with kids pools and fountains. I don't know any other place where it would be equally pleasant for young kids and honeymooners at the same time. This place is just amazing for everyone to take a good rest. My daughter loved the pool so much. Sunbeds are so comfortable and view is just stunning.
3. They have a little organic farm with goats, ducks, geese and chickens. My toddler still talks about baby goat Olivia. Staff at the farm were such friendly young women. Also I just loved to have fresh eggs from the farm on breakfast.
4. Rooms - very specious and beautiful. Very tranquil too (we were in a room not a villa). I loved that bathroom was on a balcony so the bedroom was dry and fresh.
5. Mosquitoes - saw some comments about mosquitoes. Yes this area of the island gets quite a bit of them but hotel does a great job to manage them. I appreciated that they used natural repellents as some chemical ones are too harsh for humans too. We kept doors closed and mosquitoes were perfectly manageable. Ceiling fans keep them away too. So this was no problem for us.
6. Value for money - we got fantastic experience that was worth every penny we paid.

Beautiful location, fabulous luxury all villa destination. Management is very approachable and sorted initial issues promptly and without fuss going to great lengths to ensure our stay was memorable. Anthony (manager) was hands on and his team particularly Maxi and Annie were so attentive and helpful. Cannot fault the service and team.

We had an absolutely splendid time at the SALA resort in Phuket. The staff spoke fluent English and exuded the typical Thai hospitality and friendliness that you will see all across the country. The facilities (gym, pool, rooms, etc.) were modern, elegantly designed, yet small, which made the hotel feel very intimate.
There were many additional features that the hotel offered like the on-property garden, private beach, free activity schedule, and free shuttle or use of their bikes to access the nearby shopping center with a 7-11, pharmacy, coffee shop, ice cream parlor, and restaurants a mere 2 minutes away.
There were a few details that got missed along the way to have truly been a 5 star experience, but they were minor. We were given personalized selections of pillows, lotions and soaps when we checked in but they never materialized in the room. The hotel restaurant took awhile to serve dinner on one of the nights we were there as well, but we came during the NYE holiday so it was understandable.
Besides those minor hiccups along the way, we had a lovely time and would certainly be back again if we travel to Phuket in the future.

My stay was quite a poor experience. I was there for a total of four nights, two of which I couldn’t sleep because of mosquito bites. For it to happen once and for me to ask for mosquito coils both indoors and outside, fine, but for it to happen twice? Plus this should not be a new issue so I’m surprised at its reoccurrence. I would lift the rating to a 2 because the manager upgraded me for my final night after the unpleasantness. However, on the day of my departure I was reminded once in the morning (around 7.30am) when I left for horse riding, then around 11 am (called me twice) to ask me when I could leave the room, then around 11.45am someone came by to pick up my luggage, then at 11.55am house cleaning came and asked to start to clean and quite literally stood outside as I did a last walk around the room. I mean seriously? I already said I will check out at 12pm. I don’t need to be constantly bugged and pushed to leave.

Villa with big pool.
We stayed in many villas in Phuket. Sala has a real pool for swimmers, not just a pond to swim. Enjoy every moment in the pool. Unfortunately there is a big tree near the pool, and every day there are a lot of bird droppings in the pool…
Room design is not impressive. Maybe the concept of the hotel is environmental friendly so the design is simple, but not user friendly. We stayed in other go-green hotels and their designs are chic enough.
Has only rain shower with water pressure unexpectedly low. This will waste water as the guest needs much longer time to wash. Hope this can improve.
Breakfast is great. Food are up to 5-star standard and a lot of varieties even not choose from breakfast menu they offer. Thumbs up.
