The resort itself is lovely, but cleanliness was definitely lacking. I found hair in the shower, and the soaking tub was clearly not cleaned properly. The bedsheets had brown stains—possibly makeup—and didn’t smell fresh. The food overall was just okay. The only standout was Donero (not sure if that’s the correct spelling) at the Hideaway—breakfast, lunch, and dinner there were all great. The sports bar, on the other hand, felt more like a late-night drunk food spot with nothing memorable. While some of the staff were friendly and welcoming, a few were noticeably rude, which affected the experience. All in all, I wouldn’t return to the Royalton. It was fine for a one-time visit, but not somewhere I’d choose again.

I booked the penthouse suite. Which cost about $4,000 dollars. The plunge pool was dirty when we arrived and when we got it, it appeared the water hadn't been changed. We also arrived at 4pm and was told all restraunts require a reservation, but kickers..... the booking time ends at 2pm and we had to eat at the buffet. We decided to order room service, the first two items we requested(Jalapeno poppers and chicken tenders) they were currently out of. Our room came with a mini bar which we were told would be restocked daily. By day 3 it had not been restocked we requested for it to be restocked and was told they were out of a few items(M&Ms and Chips) which was basically the whole mini bar. Our butler was great and was able to locate some for us. We requested the couples massage at the spa and was told the jets in the tub didn't work and that the steam room was out of order. I have more I can say but i'll leave it there. This is not a 4.5 star hotel, it appears that it once was but the upkeep was not maintained. The people are nice and the views are amazing but as someone whos stayed at many of all inclusive resort this one misses the mark when it comes to value.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We booked diamond club and were on the second floor of building 7. Good view of the grounds and the ocean. The people are what make the experience. There are small things that need to be updated or fixed in the rooms, but it did not detract from our experience. The app is not that great and not always updated with the latest info, so make sure you check the activity board up front. We have pictures, taken for us, that made the trip even more special. I do recommend the private dinner on beach for a romantic time with your partner.

We recently stayed at Hideaway at Royalton St. Lucia from January 27–31, and while the resort itself is beautiful, I can confidently say that the Diamond Club upgrade was one of the biggest travel mistakes we’ve ever made. We initially planned to book a standard room using Marriott Bonvoy points but decided to pay out-of-pocket for the Diamond Club because of the advertised Butler service. This was a huge mistake. The Butler did absolutely nothing for us. When we asked for simple things like towels, dinner reservations, or beach chairs, we were told to get them ourselves or use the app. We even asked for a bubble bath, and it didn’t show up for TWO DAYS. On our last day, we requested a car for 1 PM, and despite multiple follow-ups, it never arrived on time. To make matters worse, when we mentioned our issues to other employees, they seemed shocked and asked what the Butler was even for. That says it all. The food was another major disappointment—while it looked great, it tasted artificial and lacked freshness. Some employees were friendly and provided great service, while others were rude or disinterested. It was hit or miss the entire stay. After our trip, we raised these concerns with Marriott and the hotel. Marriott actually stepped up and provided a fair resolution. The hotel, on the other hand, offered a measly $200— but only if we signed an NDA to keep quiet about our experience. I’d rather lose the $200 and warn future guests than be silenced over a terrible service. BOTTOM LINE: If you’re considering this resort, DO NOT waste your money on the Diamond Club. It is not worth the extra cost, and the Butler service is completely useless. Save your money and book a standard room—or better yet, choose a different resort altogether.

I don’t get all the negative reviews I saw before coming here. I can certainly be picky as a traveler, so I was a little worried about some of the concerns others brought up. However, I’ve been very happy with this resort! The spot is beautiful, the grounds are clean and well taken care of, and the food has been pretty good. It is definitely not the newest hotel on the island, but the rooms do not at all feel old and musty. Compared to some all inclusive resorts I’ve visited, it’s great how uncrowded this place is - we haven’t had any trouble doing anything we want. Overall, it’s been a wonderful time in paradise.
