2 days stay the resort is very well kept. The food was the very worst I have tasted. Remember this resort is in Grenada and if catering for the people the food must be seasoned and keeping up with the Grenadians culture. Ms Lucy who cleansed our room job well done, friendly and you deserved a raise. The staffs was so courteous with the exception of one trolly personnel, who was the worst. He was sent to our rooms for pick up on our last day to take us to the lobby. He came took the white folks and left us in the outside stating he will return. We waited for 45 minutes several phone calls was made to the front desk one had to go to the lobby in order for him to come. Cuz he was not given a tip for the second time he took us up to the room. I am applauded at this behavior if this is his job why tips are based on the individual performance not black cs white. It makes me wonder. Again Ms Lucy to the rescue she made the inquiry to get us to the lobby cuz she was witness to his behavior.This must stop. We all spend money to be accommodated.

Food isn't too bad , especially the snack Bar by the beach. As a Chef I know they are putting the effort and they probably could improve few things here and there but overall the food is better than the harsh review I read before coming here. It's island vibe here , people are chill and relax , if you expect a fast pace service , then you will be disappointed. I recommend this resort for a couple getaway and quiet retreat. Beach is nice on the north side of the resort where there's less rocks and soft white sand. We just returned from a week at the Royalton. This was a hit for all our must haves. It was a 2 minute cab ride from the airport, the beach was incredible with good shade and tons of loungers. The resort was at full capacity during our stay however we never knew because of how well everyone was disbursed and things were mostly relaxed with that island vibe we needed. Food was delish and we only camped out at the buffet. We found the variety enough and the food was plentiful. We were in building 17 which was close to both the beach and main entertainment/cafe/lobby area. We spent afternoons by the pool which had a great atmosphere thanks to Junior and the super awesome vibe team. There were activities/board games in the lobby bar area if you needed a break from the sun. All the staff at the resort were kind and attentive. Our kiddos (4&7) loved hanging out at the kids club with Jovanna and her team. We had reservations about booking here given some of the negative reviews however we are so happy we booked it and highly recommend to anyone debating it. We also met many other guests from Canada, the UK and US who felt the same. Special shout out to the following Royalton staff who made our trip memorable and went out of their way to provide the utmost level of service. We will be back! Background: Have been fortunate to visit multiple world class properties and being a lifetime Hilton Diamond and Marriot Bonvoy Titanium I know what “GOOD” is. There were so many poor reviews on this place I actually canceled my reservation twice. But I decided to forge ahead and man we are glad we did. This place was fantastic and really special. Food: There were lots of bad reviews on the food but we found it to be one of the highlights of the trip. We had zero problem making a reservation through the app. I recommend everyone do the Italian restaurant one night at 6PM for the great sunset views and cruise ship departures. Our favorite ended up being the buffets (we ended up doing them most nights). There is literally something for everyone at the buffet (multiple soups each night, a great salad bar, several protein options, veggies, carbs, bread, and rotating theme night options. There is even burgers and pizza for kids and adults who don’t like to stray. Bottom line on food, if you can’t find something to eat on the buffet it’s on YOU! Drinks: Again, lots of complaints about running out of stuff and watered down drinks. Didn’t find this to be the case. Had no problem finding a place to get a drink and the drinks were fantastic. Resort: The resort and location are fantastic. Incredible location and beautiful landscape. It’s located on a really good stretch of beach (much better than the Sandals which is next door). You do need to be careful entering the water in some sections as its rocky but there are plenty of good areas to enter. The pools were great and never felt too crowded. Loved having a drink right by the ocean as we watched the sunset each night. Butlers: This was an area of “what do they really do?”. Our “butlers” were very nice and always seemed to be around when you didn’t need them and never around when you did. I think the “butler” is just a worthless throw in for diamond club guests. You don’t really need them. Staff: We found the staff to be very pleasant and friendly. No issues here despite what some of the comments said in the reviews. Location: Great location, 5 minutes from the airport and not too far from many other things to do. We are scuba divers, and our dive shop was only 10 minutes from the resort. Multiple taxis and overall a great place to be for the week. Diamond Club: Lots of comments about Diamond club, is it worth it or not. It basically costs us $200 more per night but I would do it again. The rooms and room location are much better, you have priority access to reservations, and you have the bar, food, and coffee bar just for Diamond club right near your room. Quirks / Issues: One of the biggest quirks of the week was the fact that they never had coffee for your room “they were out” all week. Not a big deal if you were staying in the Diamond club rooms because they had a 24-hour coffee machine (for the early risers like myself). One day the entire resort seemed to be out of towels, but they did get some later in the day. Other small stuff bothered me like not putting more coffee cups out in the morning and cleaning up the Diamond club bar (they could have removed the empty liquor bottles). Overall assessment: The ultimate “final grade” on a stay is the following question. Would you come back and stay here again? We would absolutely come back and stay here again and in fact I will specifically look at Royalton properties to stay at in the future when going to the Caribbean. These folks run a good operation.

We just returned from a wonderful two weeks at the Grenada Royalton. We loved the Antigua Royalton and decided to give this one a try. It did not disappoint. What made this experience so exceptional was the courteous, friendly, hospitable, kind, hard working staff. Every single employee we encountered…servers, bar tenders, housekeepers, gardeners, fitness team, entertainment team and guest services personnel was gracious and helpful. I explained to Brandon. Manager of Guest Services that I was feeling very grateful to be there after surviving breast cancer then a stroke. I also said how extra lucky I was to be there for my birthday. He and his assistant manager , Mickaella, were so kind and compassionate and went above and beyond to make my birthday memorable. My day was filled with lovely surprises, a wonderful dinner, and evening entertainment that included a special song sung by the incredibly talented Brandon ! Loved everything about this resort…the beach, the water aerobics classes, the food, the entertainment , and the vibe in general. But the people…a special shout out to Dali (for the spices), Donisha (my heartfelt thanks for the lovely birthday gift that I will treasure always!), Candace from the buffet restaurant who showed us such kindness and Ria, our housekeeper, who was exceptionally thoughtful. And Stitch and Dontee from the Vibe Team…wow you guys bring such a wonderful energy to that place! I was ill the first three days there and even the resort nurse was so helpful and caring. I wrote a previous review that I can no longer find and I know I included this line…in a world where more and more people are forgetting their humanity, the Grenada Royalton staff demonstrated that kindness is very much in fashion. Thank you so much. I am saddened to read negative reviews. Our experience was 5 star all the way .
