I can’t say enough how awesome this place was, the staff was incredibly attentive, our butler Maxwell went above and beyond on every step. Facility looks brand new, decoration on point, every detail was made with class. Beach was a wow, tranquil and clear. Weather was AMAZING in the middle of summer, hot during the day but amazingly breeze at night. Shows at night were entertaining. Beautiful hotel, excellent location, gorgeous views. Amazing service. Food can improve but I’m sure everyone will have their opinion but in general GREAT GREAT PLACE!

Antigua was absolutely breathtaking — I enjoyed every single moment of my solo birthday trip. Would I recommend visiting Antigua? Without a doubt. Would I recommend staying at Royalton Chic? Absolutely not. While the resort is aesthetically pleasing and relatively new (just about a year old), there are still several areas that need serious improvement. The specialty restaurants were nicely decorated, but the food was consistently mediocre and served lukewarm. The exceptions were the wings at the sports bar — a solid 10/10 and the drop-in deli “Insomnia,” which offered great sandwiches, coffee, and desserts. Unfortunately, everything else left much to be desired. Check-in was a mess. Although check-in officially begins at 3 PM, many guests myself included were left waiting for hours. By the time I was finally given my room, most of the day had slipped away. Upon entering, I discovered my shower was broken. While maintenance came to fix it the next day, it broke again shortly after which was surprising given how long the room had been "prepared" prior to check-in. If you're assigned to Building #1, request a room change immediately. The building is located near dense trees, which brings an overwhelming number of mosquitoes. You could tell the issue was ongoing the room had visible blood stains on the ceiling, walls, and drapes from previous guests killing bugs. To make things worse, housekeeping leave the doors open while cleaning, inviting even more mosquitoes inside. Entertainment was lackluster and didn’t live up to expectations. the foam party was boring and for it to be considered a Caribbean island surprisingly there was no Caribbean music which sucked. Would I return to Antigua? 100% yes. Would I stay at Royalton Chic again? Never (not worth the $$)

Our experience at the Royalton Chic Antigua could not have been any better! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such care and attention. Our butlers, Errolson and Kemoy, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed at any given time. They listened to all our preferences and made sure we never had to ask for the same thing twice—true professionals with a personal touch. Raeleen, the housekeeper who kept our bungalow spotless, always greeted us with a warm smile. It was such a lovely way to start each day! Dining at the Hunter Steakhouse was a highlight thanks to Theresa, Sanesha, and Chef Jason, who made sure every meal was perfect and up to the highest standards. Even in the evenings, the service remained exceptional. Sabrina at Epic Bar and the ever-smiling Hannah at Taboo created such a fun and relaxing atmosphere, handling even the busiest crowds with ease and grace. And I can’t end this review without a special shoutout to the amazing food truck chef—she made the best jerk chicken I’ve ever tasted! Despite the heat, she served every guest with kindness and a smile. While the accommodations were top-notch, it was truly the people who made this trip unforgettable. We’re already thinking about coming back to celebrate my husband’s next birthday at this incredible resort!

Do not bother spending your money on this place! They are understaffed and whatever staff they do have, doesn’t know what they’re doing. Our room came with a butler service, we were at the Diamond Club, and the butler was maybe available the first day or two and he couldn’t really do anything that we couldn’t do without him. The food at the buffets was just blah and very little variety. The waiters barely came over to you to ask if you wanted anything to drink (their only job at the buffet). Not all of the restaurants are open every day. The most popular restaurant, the steakhouse is the worst restaurant that we have ever been to. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm. We didn’t get sat down until 7:45 pm. The waiter didn’t come up to our table until 8 pm and we sat there with an empty table, no water, no bread, no drinks. The appetizers took another 30 min. The steaks were brought to our table at 9 pm, an hour and a half after our reservation. And the steaks were absolutely disgusting, overcooked, thin and gray in color. We had one bite each and just walked out. Oh, and the noise at the restaurant from large, loud groups was unbearable. We couldn’t hear each other let alone the staff. Dress code? Yeah, most men came in shorts, even though it said pants only. I felt like I was in a fast food joint at some rest stop. The pool: it clearly said no personal speakers. I saw and heard a bunch of people having their own, which made the pool experience absolutely horrible. I didn’t pay so much money to hear everyone’s poor taste in music. Our room wasn’t cleaned the entire day, even after we called at 3 pm to ask that someone come & clean it. I repeat, do not waste your money on this place.

Hotel grounds were beautiful, and the food wasn’t terrible, just redundant at times. They need more everything , towels and wash cloths, pool towels, and TEQUILA! The long wait times for food often leaves you hungry for hours! Constantly ran out of things. I had Diamond club, and room service was basically non existent. It would take 2 plus hours and even then still may not come unless u call over and over again. The $600 resort credit is a joke. They restocked the premium Diamond club bars ONCE in 4 days. Yet always lied about more coming! Although the staff was friendly despite the short comings… I would suggest Diamond club because I don’t even want to know what the other treatment was like smh. I would imagine even longer wait times and room issues. My butler Kurt was great! Helped with reservations and food orders! The spa!!!! That is one of the best spas I have been to on a resort! That hydro therapy experience then the relaxation room before the Swedish massage was probably my biggest highlight! My suggestion to Royalton chic is to include questionnaires for Diamond club bookings to see what type of liquor is preferred so they can have a database to be aware if there’s and influx of TEQUILA drinkers on a weekend for example. I don’t like seeing the penny pinching when we aren’t penny pinching to book the resort! That’s why I’m specifically meaning Diamond club. There’s nothing luxurious about 5 days of plastic bottle tequila! Also, please stop the workers from lying so much! I was told they were out of chicken in the sports bar, and 20 minutes later I see people ordering chicken and coming out before what I was forced to order! I was told there was no more tequila, then shortly after he was persuaded to pull out a bottle from under the bar… not a good look!
