The Royalton CHIC in Antigua was a fantastic experience. My fiancé was so worried and absolutely annoying with how many bad reviews she saw on Tik-Tok or Instagram and boy did the resort prove her wrong. For the record, I did tell her stop listening to the angry people on social media because they are just bitter and probably didn't get their ketchup when they asked for in within 30 seconds. I told her to be patient and when we get there we will be fine. We actually got a Bungalow experience on the water and I highly recommend if it is within budget. We were private, on the water, watching the sunrise and sunset. The shower was amazing along with service. Room service is 24/7 at no charge. We were considered part of the diamond club but I don't think that impacts room service. We also had our own butler but TBH we are not needy people. Mind you she was 6months pregnant going on vacation and the resort treated us perfectly human and more. They were more than accommodating. Some of the reviews on social media indicated that staff were mean and those people can hold nuts. The staff at Antigua are so nice and honestly too nice for my taste but polite and always ask if you are okay and/or if need something. They communicate well and out your best interest forward. Housekeeping was great and our AC went out the first night and they fixed it immediately the next morning. We did cause of fuss as there was a second AC in the next room cooling the place because of the Bungalow. If were in a room that didnt have a secondary AC, I am confident they would have provided alternatives at no cost. The food is really good, not amazing but really good. They have gluten free and everything else that someone would want. The Steakhouse and Haven Grill were amazing as we went to each restaurant twice for dinner. Buffet is great and "vibe team" (entertainment) always bring the energy. point is, don't let any bad reviews deter you from your own experience. There operation is set up to help you enjoy and reduce as many pitfalls as possible.

I stayed at The Royalton Chic Antigua as a Diamond Club member, and while the resort presents itself as a high-end, luxury experience, it does not consistently deliver—especially for the price point. To begin with the positives, Diamond Club does come with some perks, and the butlers were genuinely friendly and attentive. One standout who deserves specific recognition is Kourtney at the Diamond Club bar. He was by far the best bartender we encountered—professional, welcoming, and consistently pleasant. His service reflected the level of hospitality one would reasonably expect at a resort charging these rates. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming for the price. A few dishes at certain restaurants were good, but most fell well below expectations in both quality and execution. Room service was especially disappointing. The same can be said for the drinks: cocktails were mediocre at best and far from what one would expect from a “luxury” adults-only resort. Service at the bars was another recurring issue. Aside from Kourtney, most of the female bartenders at the other bars appeared visibly annoyed and rarely served guests with a smile. I am a very big tipper and always show appreciation, yet I often felt uncomfortable ordering anything even slightly complicated, as it consistently felt like an inconvenience. The Diamond Club pool bar should also be open longer, particularly given the resort’s premium branding. Activities were another major letdown. For an adults-only resort at this price point, offerings were extremely limited. Options were essentially restricted to sitting by the pool or beach, eating, or drinking, with very few organized or engaging activities available. Safety at the resort beach is also a concern. You must constantly watch your step due to bricks and rocks barely sticking out of the sand. I injured my right foot and nearly broke my left toe because of this. Even more alarming, there was a live electrical wire sticking out of the ground on the beach, as shown in the photo below Housekeeping and room service were also disappointing. On multiple occasions, I left the “please service my room” sign only to return to an untouched room. On one occasion, I asked a staff member to return in half an hour, and they never did. At some point, I returned to my room and the sign was taken away. Additionally, family members staying on the first floor experienced a strong musty, moldy smell in their rooms, which is unacceptable at this price point. For roughly half the cost, I could have stayed at a resort in the Dominican Republic and received far better food, service, activities, and overall value. Would I return? No. This resort feels overrated and does not justify its price.

We stayed from Oct 1st to 9th. We had a great time here, our ground floor pool view room was perfect. We could walk out our patio door and go to bar or the pools. Or go out the back door and go to the shows and restaurants. 10/10 room. We enjoyed all the night shows, the drinks are top quality and great service in all the bars. The pools were awesome. The food all tasted great as well, not a huge selection but the resort was only 30% full when we were there. We would definitely stay here again.

There was 11 in our party and we All had a Wonderful 6 day stay! We were celebrating my 60th and brought in 2026 with other guests and the staff. I’m glad we did not hold many of the negative reviews against this Resort, as it was not my family’s experience. We enjoyed Everything and Everyone🎉😍 Shout out to Kareem Anique Bishop Malik Alicia Jim Vernan All the Bellman’s , Housekeeping , Spa services, Butler’s, Lifeguard’s, Restaurant staff …… I wish I had made a note of the names of EVERY employee I interacted with bc they were ALL very welcoming, friendly and helpful💕 I’m sure I hugged half the staff (I’m a hugger) Nothings perfect, that said, there were minor hiccups, and I do mean minor, but the wonderful customer service made you overlook it to the point I won’t bother to mention specifics. ✨ Royalton Chic Antigua – A Stay to Remember ✨ My husband and I originally booked another resort, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Thankfully, our travel agent quickly moved us to Royalton Chic Antigua the very next day—and what a difference! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink in the Diamond Club lounge while Christina checked us in. She introduced us to our butler, Kyle, and explained that Nekeisha would be assisting us in the evenings. I hadn’t expected butler service at all, so this was such a wonderful surprise. Kyle gave us a tour of the property, and both he and Nekeisha showed us to our room, making sure we knew how everything worked. They stayed in touch with us via WhatsApp, handled all our dinner reservations, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Nekeisha even decorated our room last-minute for my birthday after my husband reached out—such a thoughtful touch! The resort itself was stunning: beautifully maintained grounds, gorgeous pools, and incredible food. We dined at every restaurant on property, and the service was consistently excellent. Managers Denise and Nekesha stood out, along with servers Brianna (Olympus), Unique (Vespa), and Chauntia (Hunter). Each of them was warm, attentive, and a joy to chat with. I have to highlight Unique—she is hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had anywhere. Drinks were always topped up, meals arrived hot and quickly, and she was kind, funny, and professional. She’s truly a credit to the resort and deserves recognition. We also enjoyed a couple’s massage at the spa with Monique and Kenneth. Though our time with them was brief, they left a lasting impression with their kindness and skill. Entertainment was lively and fun—energetic dancers in the evenings with vibrant costumes, and the vibe team kept the afternoons at the pool exciting with games and contests. Even the gift shop staff impressed us. One woman (the shop next to Olympus restaurant, wavy hair, fun nail art, called me “babes”) went above and beyond to track down the right shirt size for a friend. The Diamond Club staff were equally outstanding. The bartender (whose name I unfortunately missed) was fast, efficient, and could make any drink requested. And then there was Ersa, the Diamond Club server—what a gem! Always cheerful, singing and dancing even when she thought no one was watching, she radiated joy and made everyone around her smile. 🌟 While the resort itself is beautiful, it’s the people who truly made our stay unforgettable. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond, especially those mentioned above, and their warmth and professionalism turned our vacation into something extraordinary. Kyle, Nekeisha, Ersa, Unique, Kenneth, and Monique… thank you for giving me the trip of a lifetime and making my 40th birthday special!
