The Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort is an all-inclusive resort. The programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times).

We spent two weeks here. It was the worst vacation of my life and I travel very often. The room was dirty and smelly. Everything was damp. We had huge cockroaches running around our room every day. As far as food is concerned, it's also a big disaster. Little choice of food and the same thing over and over again. The staff is arrogant and slow. Never ever. Avoid this hotel if you can.That price absolutely does not correspond to the number of stars of this hotel 👎

I stayed at the Royal Zanzibar Hotel for 8 days. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were amazing. I met a gentleman named Alex who was one of the mangers at the hotel, he was a very nice man and really looked after me. When I had an issue he quickly rectified it and was always willing to listen and make any changes needed. I also met another gentleman Mohammed and he was very helpful . The location is a little bit far from the Airport, however if you want peace and tranquility thats the place to go. You need to be aware that if you use a credit card for a purchase, you have to pay an additional 5% of the total amount and they only accept dollars when using your card. There's also an additional charge for room service even if you pay for an all inclusive package. You also have to stock your mini bar yourself. This means you have to go to the bar and get what you want to store in your fridge. Besides these little issues I had a wonderful time and would recommend it as once in a lifetime journey.

Incredible resort. The staff are so wonderful and friendly. The physical property is gorgeous and very well maintained. The rooms are HUGE and stunning. The bathroom is amazing, huge soaker tub, rain type shower head, two sinks, light up mirror. Nice balcony. The beach is pure soft white sand and turquoise blue sea. I hope everyone can stay here in their life..

Good ambience, great service, spacious rooms. Has one of the best parts of Nungwi beach (white beach with crystal clear waters). All you need are sunny days to enjoy this marvelous place.

Look no further than Royal 💪 we were super impressed from the get go. Our room was spacious and super clean at all times. The food was amazing and we really appreciated the variety of foods and delicious desserts. The resort has 360 degrees of beautiful views, and it's so convenient to jump into one of 5 pools to cool down and have a drink. The staff is amazing and friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. On the booking sites and their website it state that they serve selected local beers, wine, rum etc which is included in the package and we got exactly that. Would highly recommend the resort, and we'll definitely be back 😁
