Great relaxed atmosphere. Cool concept with the river. Quietness and the birds chirping in the background. I think thats what one should expect from an adults only hotel :)
The cleanliness, however, could be better, hand towel had a yellow stain and the outside bedspreads and cushions were dirty. It can be attributed to the overall Spanish lifestlyle and attitude to life, I guess. :)
Breakfast is a 3,5 stars. Nothing really special and lack of choice. However, we stayed only 1 night, so was not so critical.

Amazing rooms and hotel. Dropped one star as the food is a bit hit and miss (either good or average) - but there is a restaurant down the road that serves higher quality food (for a price)
Staff are wonderful - the hotel itself is fantastic (and kid free - yay!) - the water villas where your “private” plunge pool that joins into the main “river” is truly beautiful.
I have to say that the designer of the hotel is award winning - spectacular decor.
Certainly will come again.

The place is absolutely amazing and the decor is great. However, the food is disappointing and needs a lot of improvement given the price tag. (The Surf and Turf and the Wagyu Burger in the Top Bar lacked flavour and needs a lot of work to justify the price. Also the fruit (particularly the melon) from the breakfast tasted of absolutely nothing which was impressive.
FYI - The bed in our pool villa consisted of 2 single beds that were pushed together (with a big gap in between) that kept moving apart. This is not very good for couples. This was questioned with reception who told me they would sort this with 'special sheets' but this was not actioned by the hotel.
I would recommend the hotel but would go to some of the local restaurants for much better food at reasonable cost. Unless 14 euros for a cone of chips hits the spot.

In September 2023, we were lucky enough to spend nine fantastic nights at the Royal River Hotel in Tenerife. As soon as we arrived, we felt an atmosphere that combined professionalism with a warm, almost family-like cordiality. Every member of the team was incredibly attentive and dedicated.
The hotel itself is like a magical kingdom. Every room is a little paradise, full of loving details. The pool area is particularly impressive - a real design highlight. The wellness area is a wonderful, peaceful oasis where you can relax and unwind with fantastic massages.
In the morning, a breakfast buffet awaited us that left nothing to be desired. From hearty treats to sweet delicacies, plus fresh fruit, muesli, cheese and sausage - a dream start to the day.
The hotel team really stood out, especially with their friendly and dedicated manner. The hotel manager Daniela Tadialova deserves special praise. Her attention to detail and warm-hearted manner made the stay extra special.
For anyone looking for a very special place, this hotel is the perfect choice. We can hardly wait for our next visit!

An really amazing resort and truly 5 stars. BUT, the food leaves something to be desired for sure. Breakfast was one of the worst of any resort we have ever been to. All other food is at the same grade, not 5 star. SO many rules and regulations, example: They have two seatings the first one I think 19:00 and the second is at 21:00. We arrived at 19:30 and they told us we cannot dine at "The Top" without a reservation by the manager. We sat anyway for a drink and then we noticed half the tables were unoccupied so we asked again and the same manager told us it was not possible even though half the tables were still empty. We decided to leave and get room service at 20:10 and the manager stopped us and told us she can seat us at at around 20:45, so little early and we said we didn't want to wait then she said 20:30 which was 20 min more when there were at least 5 or 6 tables free now but we still said no and we would just go to the room and order room service. We stayed for 11 days and we ate dinner at the resort ZERO days because of this. I understand the food is not the best but the rules and regulations and the attitude of the managers turned us off of dining here. I still give this resort a 5 star rating because the resort and rooms are just that. The bartender Nicolas was a star!! We will return 100%!!
