Very nice and helpful staff. Amazing views. The breakfast it’s absolutely terrific. Warmly recommended. The only thing we had a little bit of an issue with was the WiFi, hopefully they fix it soon 🔜 👨🏼🔧

We were staying at Hotel Royal River and went to Le Jardin Restaurant at Royal Garden Villas for dinner twice.
Beautiful Restaurant. The Christmas decor was fabulous. The food was excellent.
The first night we went it was surprisingly quiet. Much busier the second night. I suspect guests in the Villas don't use the restaurant every night.

Amazing stay - the service was impeccable and thoughtful, towels were replenished frequently, all shared areas (the spa, infinity pool) were kept clean regularly. The private pool was nice also, though it couldn’t be helped that there were insects. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with live violin music to accompany. Great room amenities including exceptional shower and shower pressure, chrome cast in all the tvs, comfortable terrace chairs.

The villas are simply out of this world, the staff are generally very friendly/attentive also. The breakfast is epic but the room service/pool bar menu were all a bit of a let down in terms of food quality. Charcoal grilled chicken wings were just fried with little flavour, calamari was chewy with hardly any seasoning, croquettes/pizza were equally dissapointing.
The Jardin menu sounds Michelin level, the food presentation was great but flavours/cooking techniques didn't deliver unfortunately, especially for the price tag. There are plenty of better places a short taxi trip away around Adeje and in the sister hotel royal river down the road. Fully recommend the Al fresco night on Mondays though, this was our best meal on site.
One major gripe we had was our air con in the main bedroom never worked from day 1. It was on 24/7 while set to 17 degrees, fan on full and never cooled the room, the air con panel itself showed the room temp anywhere from 23-26 degrees all the time unlike the other rooms where we set to 20 and they were cooling within minutes. I raised this issue no less than 4 times with reception as we couldn't sleep in that room because of it, it was sadly never resolved. I even had a technician come to the room while I was there and he tried to explain to me that everything was working because his thermometer probe stuck into the vent showed 12-13 degrees inside it, however the same probe was showing 23 in the room itself and he couldn't understand what my problem was. The cold air wasn't being pushed out so the room wasn't cooling, i had to argue with him until he seemed to finally understand as I showed him the difference for the other rooms where it was working using his own probe. The last I heard on this was 3 days before we left where an external technician was to be called in, we never heard anything more about it since and got fed up complaining about it. A pretty dissapointing experience, I was going to mention it again during checkout but was never asked 'how was your stay' etc so just left it at that.
