I stayed at Rocky's 13 years ago before their rebranding/refurbishment and returned last week. I am not going to lie - I had high expectations and Im delighted to say that our experience here exceeded my expectations! They were kind enough to give us a free room upgrade from a garden view room to a lofty ocean view room! They really took care of us and attended to all our needs (even when we requested for things out of the ordinary ie a stand fan as it was too cold). I am surprised that this is actually a 4-star resort?! Decent food at the restaurant, you just need to emphasise that you'd like the Thai dishes to be "very spicy" if you're Asian. Good turn-down service. Good laundry service. Decent gym - we used the gym quite a bit during our stay. No complaints at all! We were very happy to rest and recuperate from our busy lifestyle at this resort and we'll definitely be returning. I would just like to give them 1 suggestion and I hope they consider it : to install fans either in the rooms or on the balconies, or both. Fans inside the rooms - so that there is better air circulation and to lower energy consumption. Fans on the balconies - to encourage people to use the balcony as it can get pretty warm/humid without a fan.

recently returned from a wonderful seven-day stay at this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first-class. We were greeted with a refreshing drink and a cold towel, and were even treated to a room upgrade to a beautiful beachfront room with a plunge pool, which was an absolutely excellent surprise. The room was stunning, and to make the occasion even more special for my partner's birthday, the staff had decorated the bed with a "Happy Birthday" message. The hotel had two beautiful swimming pools, with one being an incredible infinity pool that offered breathtaking views of the sea. For added convenience, there was a free shuttle bus service that ran twice a day into the nearby town and night market. The service throughout our stay was outstanding. The staff could not have done enough for us and were all consistently excellent. A special mention goes to Jack, who spoke perfect English and was incredibly informative about things to do on and around the island. The food at the restaurant was top-notch, and the excellent breakfast was delicious. Overall, we could not fault this hotel. I’m glad I chose this property for my stay in Koh Samui. We stayed in two different rooms for 4 days - Lofty Ocean View and Lofty Family with Pool access. I would strongly recommend staying in the pool access room or the garden/pool view rooms as they have a better view. The staff here is exceptionally hardworking and friendly. As I’m a vegetarian, the chef and the restaurant staff ensured that I get the required customisation, they are extremely welcoming. The cleanliness and everything else is top notch. The property is not too big but it is well managed.

Exceptional hospitality and a perfect stay Our family had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and well located, the food at the bistro was fresh and flavorful, and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel was both relaxed and refined. Every detail – from the quality of the service to the attentiveness of the team – contributed to a memorable experience. A special thank you to the General Manager and the hotel team for the kind gesture of offering us a late check-out – something we truly appreciated and which made our last day extra special. Had a great stay at Rocky’s. The location is nice, right by the seaside with cool rocky views. There’s not much of a beach, but the view make for a pretty relaxing spot. The staff were awesome, really friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar service were great. The only small downside was the AC noise, and if you’re in the new building near the street, you might hear some traffic. Just bring earplugs and you’ll be fine. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay thanks to the friendly staff and chill vibe.
