This is our second time visiting this fantastic hotel, the first being July of last year. We are already planning another trip for next year. In 34 years of married life we have never returned to the same resort twice wanting to see more of the world, but this part of paradise has broken that mould. Last year we came with our 22 year old daughter, this time we came as a couple. Both times we had the best experience. The location and set up of the resort has been very well thought out. The beach and sea are perfection, and the whole ambiance of the place is restful, relaxing and classy. The rooms are lovely and the cleanliness and daily upkeep is really good. The staff throughout the resort are always wanting to do their best for you with a smile and genuine happiness. We were amazed and touched by how many of them recognised and remembered our names on our return this year. The food is very varied and always amazing. The chefs and waiting staff are so keen to please, they repeatedly went the extra mile to give excellent service. All in all this has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I've just spent 10 fabulous nights at the Riu Palace. Loved it! Nothing was too much trouble, staff were amazing and they always greeted you with a smile and they always had time to ask about your day. We stayed in the beach villa rooms No.216, stepped straight out onto the beach. So relaxing and amazing food in the buffet restaurant.

Stunning location, it surpassed the travel company's description and was a wonderful place to spend 10 nights. The food was wonderful and always plenty of choice in the main buffet restaurant, complemented with four additional restaurants, all of which were included. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Cleanliness of the room and all public facilities was impeccable.

Absolutely amazing stay - we came for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for more. Every single member of staff was so helpful and friendly, Dezy who worked at the bar on Palace was so lovely she knew our names from day one and made the effort every night to make our evening special. The food was great, room cleaning was fantastic - everything about this place was just amazing. We’ve talked about bringing our children here because we loved it so much.

The scenery was beautiful and the water was so clear. I was surprised hiw the water wasn't that deep when we went out into the ocean from our deck. Our room was very nice and kept clean everyday. The over the water suite with a pool was very nice a d used everyday. The highlight of the trip was seeing a stingray from the poo area and two baby sharks. The location was great and the RIU team was very helpful getting us to the island. We didn't have any issues with our luggage either. Our luggage arrived outside our room within an hour or two after our arrival. The food at the buffet and restaurants were good. I wish the restaurants had a bigger selection on the menu though. The only other complaint I have is the golf carts didn't run that much. We walked to our locations quite a bit and sometimes didn't get picked up until we were halfway there. Also, I lost a bathing suit on the deck area with the pool. The waves for the last two days came all the way over the pool and the deck area. I had my bathing suit on the chair to dry because the area to hang your wet items on the deck doesn't get a lot of sunlight to dry your items. Overall, I loved the Maldives and will come back for another visit.
