Myself, my husband and two little girls aged 4 and 7 have just finished our week here end of October , and think it’s been absolutely lovely. Upgraded to a pool room and got a villa type room over two floors, very spacious which was nice when you have little ones. Also kids pool and playroom which the girls had to themselves, whilst we sunbathed next to them on the super comfy padded loungers! Lovely big pool areas, everything was clean, food was samey agree with but very nice. Lovely salads, hot veggie food, gyros, lots of meat and choice for little ones :) thought it was great that they put on a shuttle to the beach and to the Rethymno town (15 mins) which made access to get out and about super easy and didn’t matter that you were up in the hills a little bit. Go to paraplous restaurant on the beach for sunset dinner, stunning 👌🏼 Beautiful views in the hotel was lovely and calm because it was end of season, absolute bliss tbh. I’d say it’s a 4 star for sure but not a 5. Not much in the way of entertainment just a couple of nights Greek dancing. No idea how they cope in that canteen area in August! Overall I’m giving this a 8/10, thought the staff were lovely and friendly, attentive to the kids, lovely hotel overall and we really enjoyed our relaxed stay!

We’ve stopped here twice and really enjoyed both times. If you want a quiet and relaxing place away from the city, this is definitely it. I will admit that it’s not for everyone (like a party kind of place) but if you are seeking the above, it’s hard to be disappointed. The location is a bit of a catch-22. On the one hand yes you are a bit far out which makes venturing out a little tricky (though very doable). However the advantage is that it’s quiet. The rooms were clean both times and the house keeping service (which you have to book online when you want a clean done) was always thorough and quality. The food seems to be a bone of contention but honestly we never had trouble. It does revolve around the same sort of thing each day but there’s always variety to be had and in the main the food is nice. The pools are also great - they are cold, yes, but when you’re in the sun all day they’re a welcome relief when you get in. It is also worth remembering that 5 stars in the hotel world means its to do with the level of service the hotel can offer (like a spa, dry cleaning etc). The more services, the higher the stars. It’s a sprawling place and there is loads here. My only critic is that what they offer should be signposted more.

For the price that we payed, we were extremely happy with our stay at this resort. I would give it 5 stars in relation to the price Personally, I found the food generally good- there were a few options to choose from at breakfast lunch and dinner, and the food at the snack bar really hit the spot. Some of the reviews say that the food was cold. This was only if a tray of food was nearly finished, and we were glad to see that they continued to refresh the food all the way until the end of the set meal times. They also had options like spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread for people who aren’t as keen to explore local cuisine. There are multiple pools to choose from with ample sunbed and shade options. The pools were a good place to cool off in the hot weather. Generally the resort had a relaxed atmosphere, with a few themed night with entertainment at the bar. It is a bit out of the way of the local town and beaches, but this adds to the calmer atmosphere, and the town is walkable within around 30 minutes. The customer service at reception was efficient, and the hotel were even kind enough to stay up for our very delayed arrival in the early hours of the morning. If you are looking for a very luxurious 5-star resort, then I would consider looking at hotels at a higher price point (you get what you pay for after all). However if you are looking for a relaxed and comfortable retreat by yourself or with friends and family without breaking the bank, then I think this is a lovely option!

⭐ Could Be So Much Better – Beautiful Setting, But Definitely Not 5-Star We recently stayed at this hotel and while the views and setting are absolutely beautiful, the experience sadly didn’t live up to the 5-star standard it advertises. Room: The room was fine – clean and comfortable – but you have to book cleaning 24 hours in advance, which feels unusual for a 5-star hotel. We were told we’d been “upgraded,” but after speaking with other guests it seemed everyone was told the same thing. We actually had one of the best rooms, yet it still felt standard and nothing like an upgrade. Food & Drinks: I’m not fussy and usually open to trying new foods, but the options here were disappointing. Most days it was salads, fruit, two types of meat and one fish dish – repetitive and lacking flavour. Despite being advertised as all-inclusive, it really isn’t. Drinks start from 11am and no spirits are included. Only the pre-made cocktails are part of the all-inclusive deal, and they taste odd and very watered down. After 22:50pm, all drinks must be paid for – even wine for special occasions. Facilities: There are three pools but guests are only allowed to use two. There’s one main restaurant for the entire hotel, which makes mealtimes repetitive. The grounds themselves are lovely and the views are stunning, but overall, it feels more like a decent 3-star property rather than 5-star luxury. Staff & Service: Service was very mixed. The young lady behind the bar (where the jewellery display is) was brilliant – friendly, polite, and a real credit to the hotel. The lady in the small coffee shop was also lovely, always smiling and genuinely kind – definitely worth visiting for a morning coffee. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The receptionist, Michael, was rude and unhelpful, and the morning receptionist was also abrupt. Even though check-out is at 11am, we were asked to hand in our key at 7:30am before breakfast, which was unnecessary and unprofessional. Other points: – Tourist tax must be paid in cash only, even though the website says card payments are accepted. – The on-site shop is overpriced and staff there were also quite rude. – The hotel’s own shuttle to the city costs €11 per couple, even for all-inclusive guests. – The beach restaurant is nice but not included – you only receive a 10% discount. We also saw a male staff member shouting at a guest for setting down his plate at the buffet, and later at a 15-year-old boy for the same thing. It was really uncomfortable to watch. Overall: This hotel has amazing potential – the location and views are stunning – but it’s far from a true 5-star experience. Staff training, food quality, and guest communication need serious improvement. If you’re expecting a luxury all-inclusive resort, you’ll likely be disappointed. But if you come expecting a solid 3-star stay with beautiful scenery, you’ll still find moments to enjoy – especially thanks to the few kind staff who really care about guests.

Very nice hotel with good pools & snack bars. Good bar in the evening up till 2am seving drinks & snacks ( very nice food) . It is very remote but there is transport to take you out of the hotel which is very good. The big let down for us was the food at the restaurant, after paying over £2000 for our honeymoon the food was terrible. I couldn't wait to get home to eat something good. We didn't even get a little glass of bubbly on the house for our honeymoon. If you walk outside the hotel & take a right for 2-3 minutes you will find a Greek cafe that really knows how to serve up a cold beer & wine. The glasses are served straight from the freezer, well worth a tip.
