We expected more… Hotel belongs to Marriott’s resorts, that’s why we chose it. Unfortunately it didn’t fulfill our expectations. Fullboard package was messy, you’ll get just some paper card with “coupons” for the food. But everytime we went for the lunch/diner, nobody knows what this fullboard covers. For every food you wait cca one hour, for drinks 20 minutes. Breakfast is repetitive with no so much to choose from. Basket with fruit in our villa was not replenish during our stay. No refreshment during the day - you’ll get bottles of water in your room, but anywhere out of the apartment you have to pay for water (which is weird in country where is usually 30 degrees). For example, we had a diner in Takieng restaurant, where they charged us for bottle of still water and then, after 10 minutes one lady came and pour us a water from a jug. 🤪 But we also have to highlight some positives - definitely kind and diligent staff, location of the hotel (empty beach 🔝, not crowded), calm resort, amazing spa treatments, privacy within pool villa. Overall, our stay was good. But from 5* stars hotel and the price we paid we would’ve expected much more.

Located in the opposite side from the all-year-round crowed Patong area, this hotel is a perfect place to relax. We stayed there for a vacation and their service was very good. They even prepared the crib for our baby in the room. The breakfast was also fantastic with variety of food and the staffs were also attentive (they even have starbuck inside the hotel). The hotel itself is a bit far from shopping center (where more luxurious hotels are located), but it was fund to move around with the bicyces the hotel provided (of course they also have some transport service by golf-cart like vehicle). We were enjoying nice and quiet ocean view while moving around.

Previously shared a fairly negative review due to bad experience with dining on our initial day of stay. But afterwards, the hotel staff managed a complete turnaround and gave us an excellent experience during our stay. Dining on all other days was superb. Especially the beach restaurant - a gentlemen named Pond is extremely polite, helpful and hospitable. Kudos for the great service to entire staff. Also the hotel is nice, well kept. Beach experience is lovely. All in all; great hotel. P.s. 4 stars on the “room” section is because the rooms really are stripped of all the amenities. I definitely suggest to hotel to improve the room equipment level; add amenities, add coffee machines and add pillow menu (poor quality of pillows).

As always in Thailand the staff are helpful and very friendly. We were here in high season however and just felt value for money wise the hotel was very overpriced. Long soulless concrete corridors, average food quality, long wait times for food and drinks and a chaotic beach with sun loungers all over the place and a guard constantly asking us to move (as we were too far onto the beach confusingly, although he was probably just doing his job). The bar also closes early for a 5 star hotel. For what we paid I was expecting a higher end experience.

“Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa offers the perfect balance of refined hospitality, immaculate comfort, and authentic Thai dining—an oasis for both families and independent travelers.” From the moment I stepped into Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa, I was impressed by the warm welcome and professional hospitality. Check-in was smooth, and my room was ready right away. The staff took time to explain the resort’s facilities, which was very helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable, with a fresh scent, spacious bathroom, quality amenities, and a very cozy bed. I also appreciated the reliable air-conditioning and convenient universal outlets with USB ports—great for travelers. Breakfast was a highlight, offering an excellent mix of Thai and international dishes, with the egg skillet as a signature favorite. I also enjoyed dinner at Takieng, the resort’s Thai restaurant, which served authentic dishes made with fresh local ingredients. Families will love the kids’ area with a playground and pool, but the resort also feels perfect for couples and solo travelers looking for relaxation. Although I didn’t get to try the spa this time, it looked very inviting. Overall, a wonderful stay—I will definitely be back!
