I recently stayed at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is lovely and clean, with a design that perfectly encapsulates the classic style of the Renaissance Hotel Group. However, a few aspects might be important for future guests to note. The shower area is quite tight, especially if you have a larger frame. Additionally, the counter space in the toilet is lacking, so coordinating with your roommate on where to put your toiletries is essential. On the positive side, all the staff members were incredibly polite, which enhanced our stay. A couple of things to keep in mind: the pool is primarily catered to kids, so if you are a lap swimmer, you might be disappointed. Also, during our stay, the gym was under renovation. They had converted two rooms to house two treadmills and one rowing device for the legs. This temporary setup might not satisfy dedicated gym goers. The location is very near the monorail station, which is excellent for moving around, but for drivers, beware: it’s on a major road, so you will have a hard time (waiting for traffic lights). Also, note that the car park is shared so every 24 hours you have to pay 10 MYR for parking.

I stayed for one night on my first day in Malaysia.
There was no upgrade. The family lounge was quite good. The club lounge was a bit small and felt just okay. The gym on the Renaissance side was unimpressive. I didn’t visit the Hilton side, but I imagine it’s probably great.
The pool view from the room was amazing, so I took my 4-year-old there, and they were very excited! Given the number of families, it seems less ideal for couples or solo travelers. However, it’s a paradise for families with children.
The room was very clean. There was also a bathtub! As is common in many overseas hotels, the drainage wasn’t great, but wiping it up solved the issue. The bedding was clean, though the pillow smelled a bit like it hadn’t been changed. But it wasn’t a big deal.
Breakfast was a buffet with a decent variety. The South Indian corner was interesting.

Very nice hotel. The customer service was outstanding, and the staff, especially Mr. Muz, were exceptionally welcoming and eager to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Everything exceeded our expectations and was truly sensational. The hotel is very family-friendly and caters exceptionally well to families. We highly recommend it and will definitely return.

First of all, the customer services are exceptional! The staffs in the reception and restaurant are really nice, polite and treated customers very well. I can't say its common cos many times 5stars hotels didn't live up to such expectations, so this trip definitely leaves a good impression.
Room is nice and comfy and the view is great! But unfortunately at midnight, there are motorcyclists racing on the main road so the noise is quite clear. Probably rooms facing the poolside will be better?
Breakfast wise, there's an impressive spread of choices and what I like the most is that coffee/tea/chocolate is served during seating instead of queuing up to get on your own.
As for the kids friendly facilities, the pools and slides are great, lots of fun playing with them. However it is really overcrowded during the holiday seasons as two hotels are sharing the same facilities. Many people can't even find a spot to put towels n clothes, thus have to leave them on the ground/grasses nearby. The play area was a disappointment though, there wasn't really much to play around for older kids except for the hanging treetop area. And it can get crowded just to go in to the area.
Overall, its a nice stay, with great hospitality, perhaps to visit again next time during non-peak season

Really enjoyed my stay here. The room was well thought out and a good size (for 2 adults and 1 baby), ordered room service that was delivered promptly and all in all everything was great. The kids playground and swimming pool was amazing and free for all to use. I highly recommend this place if you're coming with kids. The pool is really well designed to be fun for adults and children.
I had the club room so a nice bonus was having access to the club lounge. Could be a little better with more variety of food/drinks but still having access to hot drinks there is a nice perk to. I would be interested in having mocktails on the menu at cocktail hour.
