During our recent stay at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional hospitality and courteous service provided by the staff. As Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which made our experience even more enjoyable.
One of the standout features of this hotel is its family-friendly amenities, particularly the children's pool and play area. Our kids had a blast with the various activities offered, making it a great choice for families traveling with children.
The hotel’s location is another big advantage. Nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, it provides easy access to major attractions, shopping centers, and dining options, making it a convenient base for exploring the city.
Overall, we highly recommend the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel for its excellent service, family-friendly facilities, and prime location. It made our stay in Kuala Lumpur truly memorable.

I stayed for one night on my first day in Malaysia.
There was no upgrade. The family lounge was quite good. The club lounge was a bit small and felt just okay. The gym on the Renaissance side was unimpressive. I didn’t visit the Hilton side, but I imagine it’s probably great.
The pool view from the room was amazing, so I took my 4-year-old there, and they were very excited! Given the number of families, it seems less ideal for couples or solo travelers. However, it’s a paradise for families with children.
The room was very clean. There was also a bathtub! As is common in many overseas hotels, the drainage wasn’t great, but wiping it up solved the issue. The bedding was clean, though the pillow smelled a bit like it hadn’t been changed. But it wasn’t a big deal.
Breakfast was a buffet with a decent variety. The South Indian corner was interesting.

Had a minor issue during my stay, but the hotel staff handled it exceptionally well especially WaiHau the front desk staff, and Amelia from Loyalty team.
Their prompt and professional service recovery truly impressed me. They both went above and beyond to take initiative to give us a personally call after the recovery to ensure everything was well taken care of accordingly, turning a potentially negative experience into a positive one.
Not to forget the staff at the hotel club lounge provided outstanding service throughout my stay, especially Lily. She was consistently attentive, and greeting us with her warmest smile and making each our visit to the lounge a pleasure. Great job by the team.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is lovely and clean, with a design that perfectly encapsulates the classic style of the Renaissance Hotel Group. However, a few aspects might be important for future guests to note. The shower area is quite tight, especially if you have a larger frame. Additionally, the counter space in the toilet is lacking, so coordinating with your roommate on where to put your toiletries is essential. On the positive side, all the staff members were incredibly polite, which enhanced our stay. A couple of things to keep in mind: the pool is primarily catered to kids, so if you are a lap swimmer, you might be disappointed. Also, during our stay, the gym was under renovation. They had converted two rooms to house two treadmills and one rowing device for the legs. This temporary setup might not satisfy dedicated gym goers. The location is very near the monorail station, which is excellent for moving around, but for drivers, beware: it’s on a major road, so you will have a hard time (waiting for traffic lights). Also, note that the car park is shared so every 24 hours you have to pay 10 MYR for parking.

The room is comfortable and it’s facing the KL Tower for king bed room. The hotel is under renovation (I guessed) as the gym room and spa at level 4 was basically hotel guest room. Overall experience doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel stay as the hotel area is small and lack of facilities for the adults. The lobby with dark marble floor could post danger to the elderly especially at night when the lights are dim. The wheelchair access is not friendly because the ramps are located at the side and not easily noticeable. The lobby is small and the waiting area is further from the check in desks. The sister hotel (Four Points by Sheraton) has a bigger, brighter and more pleasant lobby.
