Was a very bad last minute choice... I couldn't believe it was a Ramada Hotel. Poor services and cleanliness. Standard food. Location is not so great also. Don't expect Ramada like other countries. Very poor!!

Having returned recently from this Resort, would like to express my concerns of this being starred 5 stars! In my opinion it is not 5 stars, the hotel is looking tired some serious updates are required, not only to the hotel itself, stair carpets ripped for example, but to the the maintenance of the pool area (very slippery with water). The Restaurant Manager has one rule for one and not for others in which I challenged and he reluctantly gave him, his threatening behaviour is renowned with the Reception staff and it was just eyebrows raised and the excuse he is just like that, they have no intention of reminding him he is there for customers and repeat business. The photos of this hotel do not do it justice, very very misleading. Only good point was the room and the cleaning staff, exceptional. The town of Akbuk itself is outdated, run down and just - boring. The plus point was our rep Charlie from Regal, he was honest and helpful. If you have a young family, this place caters for you. Loved the weather in Turkey, will visit Turkey again but not the Ramada at Akbuk.

Stayed for 2 weeks and couldn't really fault the hotel itself or the staff there all lovely and helpful, but the restaurant was extremely repetitive every meal. The room has all you really need tv, hair dryer, kettle, fridge ect the only 'fault' I'd that the shower easily floods the bathroom due to not draining properly and needing to be sealed again nothing a extra towel on the floor dosnt fix!

Aa a family of four we loved our stay at the Ramada. We enjoyed the food every day and the variety that they offered. The pool was a decent size and kept very clean. Free unlimited ice cream between 2 and 5 so little ones were very happy. The evening entertainment was great! Yes to go and excursions you do have to go on a minibus for at least 40 minutes but that is fine if you want to be able to see the local area as you go. The beeches down the road and a shuttle bus takes you every 20 minutes there is also a beach pool with 4 water slides.

Rooms We were given a room with 1 double bed, 1 single bed and a single sofa bed which was just right for us and the beds were very comfortable. A little bit more room for our suitcases would have been nice but we were able to make use of the spaces round the sides of the room. The en-suite bathroom was nice and modern and a decent size and toiletries were replenished daily. There is also a built in wardrobe and hangers that can be used as well as a safe to store your valuables. Finally, there is a kettle provided too and stocked with sachets or tea and coffee. The air conditioning works as it should and keeps the room nice and cool. Housekeeping Our bedroom was cleaned and tidied every day and housekeeping did a great job when we were out during the day. We were initially provided with bed sheets rather than duvets but a phone call to reception was all it took and duvets arrived within a few minutes. Pool There is one Large pool which was big enough for everyone even when the hotel is at full capacity like when we were staying and there is also a smaller pool with some slides for the smaller kids beside the big pool. Beach pool and bar This can be reached by using the free shuttle bus which runs every 20 minutes from the Security Gate. The shuttle takes you directly to the beach pool and bar and you just need to walk down a small paved ramp. The pool itself is a good size with 4 water slides which are very popular with both kids and adults. There are sun beds around the pool but can be fully taken at busy times so you might have to wait until people leave to get one. There is a buffet style food and drinks bar and free ice cream at certain times. The beach itself is only a minute’s walk away from the beach pool and there are also sun beds here for you to use free of charge. The sea itself is nice and clean and the water is nice and warm too. Restaurant There is one main restaurant in the hotel which caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a buffet restaurant and you can help yourself to everything. There is also a bar near the entrance which serves soft drinks and alcohol and there are self service machines for coffee and pots for tea. There is an A La Carte Restaurant beside the beach pool but you will need to enquire with Customer Relations in terms of availability as it needs to be booked first before you can go. WiFi The WiFi is virtually none existent during the day and I could only connect in the morning or evening when sat on my outside balcony. I spoke to Ibrahim about this and he advised me that the hotel did try to get fibre Broadband, however, the suppliers weren’t able to provide this. The hotel management are aware that this is an issue and are trying to address and fix this. Staff The staff, regardless of the job were all amazing and very polite. Animation Team The animation team are great with both adults and children alike. There are plenty of activities to participate in and the night shows are different every night. Customer Relations I would like to say a big thank you to Ibrahim and his wife who were so warm and welcoming every time I went to speak to them. They are always willing to listen to customer questions and answer any questions but most importantly always with a smile. Overall To sum up, we really enjoyed our stay and the hotel was exactly as described when we booked it. We had a very happy and comfortable stay, both kids and adults. It’s away from all the hustle and bustle compared to other parts of Turkey but we enjoyed the tranquility and the surroundings especially the backdrop of the forested mountains behind the hotel. I would recommend Ramada Akbuk to anyone who wants a nice quiet holiday as it is perfect for both kids and adults alike. A big thank you to Ibrahim and all the staff who made our holiday a great holiday, that we will remember for a long time for sure!
