The room was totally different from the selling pictures, with many defects. I was also very surprised when a staff came to refill the minibar after I had already checked in. It felt like the room wasn’t ready, as the minibar should have been fully set up before my arrival. When I pointed out that the room cleanliness was not good and showed her specific spots, she simply replied that it was NORMAL and nothing more could be done. I was very disappointed with this response, especially since she was a housekeeper and acted as though cleanliness was not important. After that, I was offered to move to another room, but unfortunately, it was in the same poor condition as the first one. I didn’t want to complain again and lazy to move again and again , but honestly, for a resort that charges 5-star prices, I expected much better service. Once a guest complains about a room, the staff should inspect the new room before offering it, to make sure the same problems don’t happen again. Sadly, that wasn’t the case here. Later, in the evening, I asked a male staff member at the pool bar to call a buggy car for me to return to my room. Instead of assisting, he just pointed with his finger toward the abandon reception and told me to ask there. When I went to check, the reception was empty with no one around. As a result, I had to walk back to my room on my own. This lack of service was extremely disappointing.

The service left a lot to be desired as mentioned in other reviews. There was no communication from the staff about when or where we'll arrive. We arrived at the east beach and it was difficult to find the resort dragging our suitcases through the sand. But when we finally find the resort, there is no staff at the check-in! We wait for twenty minutes or so. Then we ask the staff at the restaurant, who very rudely just told us to wait. So we wait some more, hot and sweaty, until someone show up to check us in. Then, they lead us to the room, but the staff doesn't even know where our room is 🤣 The Aircon in the room was off when we arrived, it only turns on when you put the key in, and it takes a very long time to cool down. The temperature in the room was over 30deg and it took over half an hour for it to cool down, which repeated every time we left the room. They're very cheap with the electricity considering the price we paid for the room. We were really excited about the jacuzzi but the hot water heater was really lacking. I could never have a hot bath because there wasn't enough hot water. The best I could get was lukewarm. And the tub jets was pretty gross, I had to clean it a lot. The breakfast was annoying - the hours were really limited, 7:00-10:00? Maybe fine if you had kids, but don't expect to be sleeping in and still get to breakfast. At 9:30, they start to shut down the breakfast already!! They stopped refilling the juices, and the person making the omelets kept disappearing. I saw one guy at 9:45 waiting for over ten minutes before someone showed up to make an omelet for him. So sad. The keys to the room were insanely annoying. Even the housekeepers couldn't open our door! Lol. There was a back door to access the east side of the island, but every time we went there a staff yelled at us, so I don't really understand the purpose. Overall disappointing considering the price.

It was a great pleasure to stay at this hotel. The beach view was absolutely stunning and took our breath away truly the highlight of the stay. However, there are a few areas that really need improvement. While the room was spacious and nicely designed, it looked very old and outdated. A little refresh like a new coat of paint and updated furnishings would make a big difference. The electrical plugs need to be upgraded to modern ones, and the TV definitely needs replacing a smart TV would be great so we can at least access YouTube or Netflix, especially for foreign guests like us. The current TV only had Thai channels, so it was quite boring with no entertainment options. The hotel grounds at night were quite dark and only lit when you walk past a sensor. It felt unsafe and a bit creepy. Keeping the paths properly lit at night would really help. Also the monkeys. We don’t mind them being around, but they often poop along the walkways, and no one cleans it up. It’s honestly disgusting and really ruins the experience when you’re trying to enjoy the place. Cleanliness is so important, especially in public walking areas. Lastly, there was no buggy service available around the resort. Having to walk everywhere was very tiring, especially there is a monkey poop and in the heat or after a long day. Even though staff saw us walking, no one offered us a ride. This hotel has a lot of potential with its amazing location and view, but a few upgrades and better maintenance would really take it to the next level.

We loved our stay here. Stunning views and amazing location on Railay Bay. Don’t expect high-end luxury, but you can expect excellent service, a great attention to detail, and good value for money. Most notable is the amazing pool right next to the ocean. The beach bag for beach towels and complimentary mini bar is a great touch. The breakfast buffet is also great. The few things we’d hope improved: - map of the resort/bay? We had to walk around and explore to understand the lay of the land- which may be inconvenient for some travelers - more garbage cans around the grounds? Specifically around the pool areas? It piled up after a while NOTES: - unless you’re a big group, DO NOT book a private shuttle through the hotel (not worth the $60-70). Just grab a taxi from the airport to Ao Nang pier and take the 100 baht boat from the Railay Bay Resort/Princess Resort pier to the hotel. -note we were here in low season and the resort wasn’t busy, yet we sometimes struggled to find a shady lounge chair by the main pool as people were claiming the chairs for a few hours at a time Note: (not related to the resort) Railay Bay, as a location, is slightly pricier than other Thailand towns. Expect some tourist pricing even at mini marts (but have a look at my other reviews for good food recommendations!)

This place was large, a little out-of-date but had a nice vila on the beach feel. We enjoyed how easy it was to get around and the 2 pool options. The food wasn't great and service took awhile, we were forgotten about more than once. We were also surprised by the amount of children here, definitely family friendly if thats what your going for.
