This hotel is a very good place to stay during the visit to Railay Bay. My wife and I spent four nights here, with our two small children. We stayed in the One Bedroom Luxury Pool Villa, which was really great. It's a separate private villa with a small unheated pool, jacuzzi bath and an outside shower. I really enjoyed taking a shower outside in the rain, but I guess it's not for everyone. It was a good fit for a couple with two children. The location of the villa is excellent as it's very close to the beach and the beach pool. The premises of the hotel are very big, so the location of the room is crucial. It's worth making sure your room location is convenient for walking. There are complimentary golf carts with drivers that you can use to get around the hotel premises or to Railay East. There are two pools — one on the beach, which is very nice, and another one in the middle of the hotel. The breakfast is good. For dinner, we went by foot to the main street and tried out different local restaurants each evening.The massage treatments at the spa were great and professional. We arrived at the hotel by a private long boat taxi from Ao Nam Mao Pier, I understood that there is a complimentary long boat taxi if you arrive at specific times. From the pier at Railay East there is a golf cart with a driver that transfers you with the luggage to the reception on Railay West. We highly recommend taking the One Bedroom Luxury Pool Villa for an amazing stay!

I liked everything about Railay Bay Hotel in Krabi, starting from the private small villas with a very decent jacuzzi. The territory is green, well kept, and feels calm and pleasant. The service from the hotel staff was great throughout the stay. Since finding safe food in Railay is a problem, the hotel restaurant was always a safe choice. The Thai food there was tasty, breakfast was also okay - always fresh products. Overall, the hotel is a great find if you want to spend time in the unique Railay location and still feel comfortable and well taken care of for a good price.

Check in staff were very polite. Breakfast was included and that was excellent right on the Beach. Hotel has 2 pools and one is right on the beach which was a big plus. Sadly no staff appeared to be looking after the pool and some guests didn’t remove their empties so pool area became dirty during the day. Overall the staff were not attentive or useful other than the maids doing the rooms who were delightful. If I ran this hotel I would be training the staff to be much more interested in their guests during the day and how they could make the stay better. For the price point I wouldn’t recommend.

Unfortunately, our stay at Railay Bay Resort & Spa was disappointing, and overall we did not enjoy either the hotel or the Railay area itself. About the hotel: The room we received was very large and comfortable in terms of space, but it felt very old and poorly maintained. We experienced several maintenance issues: extremely weak water pressure in both the shower and the bathtub, frequent toilet clogging, and an unpleasant sewage smell in the bathroom area. In addition, the TV screen was very small, making it difficult to watch from the bed. The breakfast was below average and quite disappointing. The vegetables were not fresh, the cheese and sausages felt very low quality, and the bread and pastries were dry and not fresh at all. Overall, the breakfast did not meet the standard we expected from a resort of this level. This stay was part of our honeymoon, and while this is not something we normally expect special treatment for, this was the only hotel during our trip that did not acknowledge it in any way — no small towel decoration, no congratulations note, nothing at all. It may seem like a small gesture, but it reflects the hotel’s overall attitude toward guests and attention to detail. About the Railay area: We also did not enjoy Railay as a place to stay overnight. It is nice to visit by boat for a few hours, but not ideal for sleeping there. Everything feels extremely tourist-oriented, with overpriced restaurants and food that was not particularly tasty. There are no proper mini-markets (no 7-Eleven or similar), which made the area feel limiting — almost like being stuck in a tourist bubble. Additionally, getting to and from Railay with luggage is quite exhausting and inconvenient, turning every arrival or departure into an unpleasant journey.
