This was our first trip to Asia and the Maldives, and we chose this resort for our 7-night water villa honeymoon based on glowing reviews and beautiful photos. While there were many highlights, several service issues prevented us from giving a full 5-star rating. Positives: • Airport arrival and transfer were smooth and well organized. • The water villa was beautiful, well maintained, and serviced daily. • The island is large, scenic, and looks fairly new, with great beaches, pool areas, and frequent buggy service. • The buffet at Raaya Life had good food and very friendly staff. • The spa experience itself was excellent (though delayed). • A front desk supervisor went above and beyond helping us with airline and luggage issues, which we truly appreciated. Service & Organization Issues: • Multiple incorrect payment links were sent due to billing miscalculations. • Our assigned host was largely unavailable and did not properly explain resort amenities, excursions, or honeymoon benefits. • Our complimentary honeymoon dinner was initially booked on our checkout day, and the promised cake was delivered late, despite follow-ups. • Communication from our host was slow and inconsistent, requiring escalation to the front desk. Dining: • Sunset Bar food quality and seating were disappointing and not recommended. • The Village restaurant had excellent food and service. • A poolside burger was undercooked, and my wife became ill. • Drinks across the resort were good. Spa & Excursions: • Spa treatments were great, but our 11:00 AM appointment started 30 minutes late. • The sunset cruise was underwhelming due to weather. • The $150 turtle and sandbank excursion was delayed, overcrowded, and i was given a drink cart to sit on the speedboat, which was very disappointing for the price. Pricing & Extras: • Resort shop and photo lab prices were extremely high (e.g., $40 USD sunscreen plus service charge and tax would be $60). • We purchased a few photos and a small art souvenir but recommend buying only essentials. Departure: • Seaplane details were confirmed late the night before departure. • Pickup was delayed by over an hour, adding unnecessary stress. Overall: The resort itself is beautiful, and many staff members were warm and helpful. However, inconsistent service, poor communication, delays, and pricing issues significantly impacted our honeymoon experience. With better host coordination and service reliability, this resort has the potential to truly match its 5-star reputation.

I can honestly say this was one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at in my life. I’ve been to the Maldives twice before, but this time was completely different and truly exceptional. The resort is spotless, and the staff are kind, polite, and respectful, which made the entire experience unique and memorable. It’s an excellent choice for families, with very fair pricing and complete honesty in everything. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, and each villa has a dedicated assistant who is always helpful, attentive, and quick to respond. I would especially like to mention Achala, who made our stay truly extraordinary. The restaurants offer a wide variety of delicious options, and the chefs and waiters are all outstanding. Every meal felt special thanks to their service and quality. Special thanks to Mo in the main restaurant, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional, always making sure we were well taken care of. I also want to thank Chef Suyruia whose cooking was absolutely delicious and added a warm, authentic touch to our dining experience. We had the most beautiful vacation here, and I wholeheartedly recommend this resort to everyone, regardless of nationality or background. The staff are respectful of all cultures and religions, and they have speakers of many languages, including Arabic, which makes everything easier and more welcoming. This resort is the most amazing resort ever. It gives proper paradise luxurious feel. The facilities over there are the amazing. They treat “INDIAN FAMILIES AS THERE FAMILY”. The staff is very much polite and helpful. Our stay was of 4 days our host was Rahim the best host. Every morning he give us the itinerary of that particular day. He knows how to handle all the things. The chef Mr Shyamal ji and Gangadhar ji were also amazing they specially cook pure veg food for us just like our home. The manager Himashu ji and lubhan of food and beverages is also a very kind man he also took care of us like his family. Each and every thing is perfect at the resort. Best place to stay. Over all the staff is best in all their ways possible. Thank you so much RAAYA BY ATMOSPHERE for giving us this wonderful experience and wonderful stay.

Unfortunately, our stay at this resort did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price, the advertised five-star standard, and the fact that we were celebrating our honeymoon. Positive Aspects The island is beautiful, the nature is stunning, and both the beach villas and water villas are modern, spacious, and truly impressive. Cleanliness is exceptional — the villas are cleaned twice a day, and the minibar is refilled regularly with absolutely no complaints. We would also like to give a special mention to Rahim, who was assigned to assist us throughout our stay. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help. He did everything in his power to make our stay easier and more pleasant. All our compliments go to him, and we are genuinely grateful for his effort. Major Disappointments 1. Food Quality and All-Inclusive Service The food in all restaurants was of very poor quality and extremely limited — nowhere near what you would expect from a luxury five-star resort. The staff was polite, but the service in the restaurants and bars was highly unprofessional. We often waited 30 minutes or more just for someone to come to our table, even when the restaurants were nearly empty. Many orders were incorrect. Several times, the staff simply did not listen to what we were saying and would start talking to each other in the middle of taking our order — which is unacceptable for a resort of this category. We had an especially bad experience in the sports bar, where we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a shisha. Guests who arrived after us received theirs quickly, and only after more than an hour were we told that shisha was no longer available. This level of disorganization and lack of communication is extremely disappointing. Additionally, although we were on our honeymoon, we never received the honeymoon cake that was included in the resort’s offer. 2. Excursions – Overpriced and Poorly Organized The biggest disappointment was the shark-snorkeling excursion, which is only offered once per week. If not enough guests sign up, the excursion is cancelled — which is exactly what happened to us. This was one of our biggest wishes and the main reason we chose this destination, but the excursion was scheduled for the day we were leaving, so we had no chance to join. The resort did not offer any alternative, and when we found an external agency willing to pick us up and take us on the excursion, the resort did not allow them to enter the island, which we found extremely unreasonable. In general, the excursions are overpriced and not worth the money: Shark snorkeling costs €500 for two people, while other resorts offer the same for €140–300. The sunset fishing and sunset cruise were very underwhelming. The turtle and sandbank trip was also disappointing; the sandbank looked nothing like the photos, and although the drone videos were not charged, the quality was very poor. 3. Extremely Overpriced Basic Products Prices for basic items in the resort store are shocking: Cigarettes: $50 A small pack of tampons: $35 — which is especially unacceptable considering this is a basic essential item women may need unexpectedly. 4. Other Guests Shared Similar Experiences We were not the only ones unhappy during our stay — several other guests we spoke to shared the same concerns about the food, service, and excursions. We are sending you our review of your resort, and we must express our disappointment, especially considering that this was our honeymoon and that we paid a significant amount of money for our stay.

This is a beautiful property on an island. Excellent facilities. They take very good care of guests. Lots of good food and drink. Excellent hospitality. Lubhan, Suriya, Mary, Mo and Amatty took great care to give us food to our liking. Even going out of the way to satisfy us. Jerry and Lester took care of all our logistics, like reservations for restaurants, spa, cruises, snorkeling etc. Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in going.
