I honestly don’t understand how this place claims to be a 4-star hotel. I’ve stayed in 3-star hotels that were far better than this one. From the moment we arrived, it was nothing but stress and disappointment. We got to the hotel early in the morning around 10am, fully aware that check-in was at 3pm. I politely asked if we could check in a little earlier since we had been up since 2am and were traveling with our 2-year-old. The receptionist simply said, “No, it has to be 3pm,” with no empathy or effort to help us. So we spent hours walking around, exhausted, trying to keep our child settled. When we finally returned at 3pm for check-in, they told us our room still wasn’t ready! At that point, I was beyond frustrated — my little one was overtired and crying, and it was completely unacceptable. Housekeeping was another disaster. By the third day, no one had cleaned our room or changed the bedsheets. I had to go down to reception and ask for clean bedding myself — not once, but three separate times before anything was done. The food was awful. I booked all-inclusive, and I seriously regret it. The food was the same every day, bland, and clearly made without care. It felt like the chefs didn’t even try. If you’re considering all-inclusive here — don’t. You’ll be better off eating elsewhere. The only positive thing I can say is that the rooms are a decent size and fairly clean, but that’s about it. The poor service, lack of care, and terrible food completely ruin the experience. I would never return to this hotel, and I strongly advise others to stay away. Save your money and go somewhere that actually deserves its star rating.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Stayed for 4 nights in the beginning of October in a standard double with sea view room on all inclusive basis. I can not find a fault in the room or the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable although a bit of a maze until you got used to the lay out. The food was really nice did not have a bad meal at all and the opening times are very easy to work around. We only used the downstairs outside pool area during our stay and there were plenty of sunbeds and the bar close by. Even better you could just walk through a gate then be able to jump into the bay for some open water swimming and snorkeling with all the fish there. We used the spa on our first day there. The spa is ran separately from the hotel so you have to go to them to book but at certain times you can see the spar staff standing by the pool and restaurant entrances and they offer discounts. We got 30% off our deep tissue massages and left feeling like a cloud. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We have booked to go back august 2026 for a week this time as matla is beautiful.

Lovely clean hotel all staff were friendly and informative. Stayed on half board plus basis. Paid slightly more for a sea view room which I highly recommend. The main restaurant is always busy but we always easily found a table. The food was good and plentiful with unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks. The only queues were for the toaster and coffee stations. Went into each of the speciality restaurants and found each one excellent. The outdoor pool areas were nice with lots of sunbeds available for use though the pools themselves were a little on the cool side. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Myself and my husband stayed here for a week beginning 27th Sept. Arrived to an extremely busy hotel lobby, got checked in quite quickly. Reception staff were friendly. We had booked a room with a hot tub and the room was quite big. We were on the 9th floor and at the end of a corridor. Disappointed with the size of the bathroom, it was tiny. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We were left without hand-wash 2 days in a row and had to use shower gel that we had bought. Cleaners came in each day bar 1 day. Bed was never changed the entire duration and the floors were never swept. One of the days, the towels we were given were torn. Food was just ok. We were all inclusive and it was pretty much same food each day, very little choice. We ended up eating out 3 of the nights. Noise levels in the rooms were quite bad, walls are paper thin. The staff were very nice, entertainment staff were so hard working. Overall, had a good stay but wouldnt return.

The ocean view room we booked was the best choice we made. The view was stunning from the 9th floor. Our room had broken spring mattresses that the hotel switched after we requested. The positives: - location is great for taking ferries for day trips - bus comes right across the street - coastal view - good for European Standards Improvements that could be made: 1) The rooms don’t have irons. You have to call to request for it and return it right after you’re done . 2) The pools aren’t heated, which is a shame because the rooftop pool is quite beautiful. There is no beach, hence they should warm up the pool as it is the highlight of this resort. Something to note, the sun rises on this side of the resort, by 3 pm the sun is no longer directly hitting the pool and it gets even colder. You’ll see everyone using loungers and the pool will remain empty even on sunny days - it’s because the pool is ice cold. 3) The indoor pool that’s a part of the spa should be “adults” only. The steam room is nice but adding a little eucalyptus oil or lemongrass oil would make it more enjoyable. 4) The breakfast buffet has a lot of options, however, it can get repetitive if you’re staying for a longer duration. The cafe station is great. A little variety would be nice; omelette station, crepes, waffles, etc. It’s a 3 star hotel.
