We had a great stay in hotel porto elounda golf ...! We enjoyed our stays very much!!
We were in the new building!!
The rooms were big quited and very comfortable,
the water pressure in the overhead shower was weaker than expected.
the hotel privet beach was clean, with a nice bar offering food.
the staff was very friendly!
the privet pool had very cold water colder then the sea, with salty seawater,
the restaurants prices were high with a bit of a pretentious vibe. Breakfast was fantastic!
and overall, it was a relaxing experience with room for a few improvements.

Definitely 5 Stars, 100% Recommendation
A great stay starts with a warm and friendly welcome. At Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort you are welcome from the first minute. The service is superb and people are warm and friendly. The location including the beach are pristine. Rooms are modern and well maintained. Bathrooms are proper and state of the art Not cheap but worth every penny. Would I come back? For sure at any time!
I confirm that I am not a bot, that I wasn’t paid for this review or received any other benefit!

Be warned, This hotel doesn't have a buffet dinner, every night you have to rebook a restaurant with a specific time of seating, very annoying when you are on holiday. Moreover, only two options of restaurants are included in the HB that we booked for our holiday.
The rest of the restaurants in the hotel are for additional charge of 30 EURO PP !!! Totally overpriced. The hotel is trying to extract value from you in any possible way.
When we had a problem, we could not speak to a manager for a few days during our holiday, what a bad management.
The usual wonderful hospitality of the Greek hospitality doesn't exist here:(((

Definitely a five star hotel. Whatever I write about the hotel and its people is not enough. They just want to make everything so easy for you, with unpretentious kindness, which is the definition of a holiday and relaxation. We will definitely return without a second thought.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite with private pool and sea view. This is one of my best stays in a hotel from amenities, rooms, views, and services. Service has been exceptional from the room maids, concierge/front desk, servers, water sports rentals and tours, and the breakfast omelette/crepe maker (Bobby). While some things show its age because of the style, overall, everything is well maintained and clean. There were little things like the welcome gifts, heated bathroom floor in the larger bathroom, and thoughtful amenities that also stood out. I highly recommend the room with private pool with a sea view— it was so convenient to not have to walk down to the hotel pool (it is a little farther that can be an inconvenience but still walkable— maybe not if you have young kids though). The private pool has electronic awnings for shaded, and well appointed patio and pool furniture! Everyone was comfortable in the rooms, and more than enough storage from draws to cabinets that for our family of 5, we were able to store all of our things, clothing, and suitcases away (we were on a month long vacation so you can imagine everything we brought with us). Great breakfast with lots of variety. Restaurants are more expensive in the resort but it is the same for every resort and it is a quick drive to the next town for other dining options. We will definitely return to this hotel.
Pro tips: check with the hotel on special nights. Wednesdays are Opa night with Greek music and dish breaking! I was very disappointed that we didn’t stay here on a Wednesday night. Mondays is Cretan music and dancing. The private beach was wonderful to have and there were fish and starfishes so bring your snorkels! You don’t have to go far and the water is clear. On site are water sports rentals and they can arrange a fishing tour. We had so much fun renting jet skis and going on the fishing tour. Porto Elounda is for the family and for the younger audience— the other sister properties don’t have the choice of amenities, such as the tennis courts, small golf course, pool table, soccer field, table tennis, and more. One of the bathrooms has a tub set up high. I am 5 feet tall and the top of the tub hits me almost mid thigh so I have to lift and swing my leg over from my hip. This makes it hazardous to get in and out of the tub/shower. While there is a towel warmer installed in the shower that I can use as a grab bar for safety, I know that the towel warmer may not be installed as a grab bar use so I didn’t want to completely rely on the towel warmer. So, if you have the two bedroom setup, I suggest anyone who is clumsy like me to go to the other bathroom with a regular shower.
Things for improvement: First two days, the beach had plastic bits and trash washed up on shore. The first day we walked the beach in late afternoon and there was plastic. The second day we were there from late morning to early afternoon and there was plastic. The good thing is the other days, I saw that the hotel cleaned up the plastic, so I would suggest daily and consistent clean up.
