A good stay overall — great staff, solid facilities, but nothing truly exceptional. Service across the resort is consistently friendly and attentive. The team is warm, welcoming, and especially kind with children, which made our stay with our baby noticeably easier. Staff interactions were a clear highlight. The resort itself is large, well-maintained and comfortable, with multiple pools, plenty of space and generally pleasant common areas. Rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and housekeeping was reliable throughout our stay. The location is quiet and nicely removed from the busier parts of Phuket, which makes it feel relaxing — but also means there’s not much in walking distance besides a handful of restaurants. For almost everything you need a taxi. Food and beverage are where the value feels a bit uneven. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality doesn’t always match: Thai dishes across the resort’s restaurants were mostly average, and for better Thai food we often preferred to go outside. Breakfast is fine but not memorable; the salad and vegetable options could be fresher and more appealing. One recurring frustration: there is no good espresso machine anywhere on the property, so for a decent coffee we had to leave the resort every time. For a property of this category, that feels like an oversight. Overall, everything was good enough but nothing stood out as exceptional — which is fine if you’re here for a relaxing and family-friendly resort experience, but worth knowing if you’re expecting top-tier dining or strong value for money. We enjoyed our stay, but would explore other options next time.

A wonderful stay in Merlin Beach again! Service is always on point in the restaurants and bars, everything is clean and there are plenty of fun activities to do on a romantic getaway. Teddy gave us fast service in the pool area and young gentleman, who is part of the cleaning staff, also helped us to get service to our seats and was also very polite & proactive. I feel that the management team does a good job here and employees are working together as a team, actively teaching each other, genuinely trying to add value and really making customer feel welcome. Just like a year before, Mook and her colleagues were smiling, efficient and providing exceptional service, which really stands out. Food is also very delicious, no matter which restaurant you choose. Overall, I would say that if the arrival experience would improve to be faster, this would be 100/100. We will return again for sure - great experience 🙏

Great Hotel. We were two families, and we all had a great time. The level of service was top notch - all workers did extra to help in anything needed. the kid's club is a bit small but out of all the hotels we have been to it was the most active with many activities for children opening early in the morning until late in the evening. the pool is great and big enough for everyone. the grounds our lovely and you are a taxi ride close enough for things outside the hotel. really recommended. The only issue which is true for all the hotels we stayed in Thailand is that there is no baby mattress for babies uner the age of 1 years old. this baffles me as babies can suffocate sleeping on extra an extra soft mattress - but a least they did the effort to fix the situation and provided us with an extra mattress to put on the floor which was ok - but this is true for all top hotels we stayed in.

Our favourite hotel in all our stay in Thailand! It had everything we needed, it was perfect for a relaxing day at the pool and private beach which was beautiful! The sea is a bit rocky and becomes quite shallow around 15:00, it’s still possible to go in but more for chilling and not swimming. Breakfast was very good! The staff were very lovely! Coconuts by the pool were delicious 😋 The happy hour by the beach bar was great and generous! The gym was new and nice! The disadvantage is that there aren’t shops nearby but when you want to get a bolt/grab to the patong area it will only cost you between 200-250 baht and it will arrive very quickly!

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on our honeymoon. If we were to mention the good, the restaurant staff, housekeeping and general manner is quite friendly and helpful. The food was also up there with global Marriott standards, we had a very good variety served for breakfast and all dishes were top notch. We did order dinner from the Ala carte menu at the Thai restaurant which was superb. Very generous portions at a decent price. We also ordered in room dining which was quick and good for the price we paid. We also used the hotel spa, which was quite nice and the staff there were really good at their trade. The space was also quite clean and classy. Although I have to mention a couple of negatives, prior to our trip I had mentioned on the booking.com chat that we were traveling for our honeymoon, which was noted. Although we were placed within the wing of the hotel where there were multiple families and kids playing outside on the halls at early hours in the day. We also booked a terrace access room to easily access the pool, only to find out we were right outside the kids pool and play area. I’m sure a family with kids would have really appreciated this, although for ourselves we had to go through the middle of the hotel to access the adult pool and the amenities it offers. Secondly the in room amenities were quite basic, the television offered 40 channels most of them either news or of foreign language. Being 2025 even the smallest motels around the world now offer the ability to either pair your phone or use smart apps like YouTube/Netlfix. The location of the hotel is really quite nice and a place to visit, if you are looking for a family vacation this is the place to be. But if you are looking for a peaceful vacation with a bit more luxury, there are many other places around Phuket that offer much more comfort and luxury for much less price than this.
