Rooms are little outdated but clean and have everything you’ll need.
Breakfast has many options and I bet you can find what you like.
Outside pools are bit cold but it feels good after long day in the sun. Indoor spa is warmer which is nice.

This is a lovely hotel, the room is beautiful, tasteful, and comfortable. Unquestionably the most elegant and friendly hotel I've stayed in. Also, the staff are really kind, and helpful, full of useful advice in how to make the most of our stay, and happy to oblige in whatever way they can. We have eaten several meals, and not only is the presentation pleasing, but the food is delicious, a good range of dishes, too. I had a particularly good plate of perch in saffron sauce at dinner last night, and their homemade peanut butter is to die for. Thank for for a delightful week on this edenic island

We had an excellent stay here at Pastana Grand. Its a beautiful hotel with lovely gardens. The buffet food we all enjoyed and was thought the range offered was good. The restaurants were also very good and we had some great meals. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would most definitely have another stay here. Also are first time to Madeira which we think is a lovely country. So pleased with the holiday we had, just wish we was still there now.

We visited Madeira in July and chose this hotel because it was recommended by relatives. It was a first class choice. The hotel sits in a lovely position with virtually every room having a sea view. The rooms are excellent, the staff are very well trained and incredibly helpful. The food is excellent with buffet breakfasts and evening meals offering a wide ranging range of options, so there is something for everyone. One of the best features of the hotel is the swimming pool area. The hotel sells itself as a resort and it's very large outdoor pool (actually two pools) are set in fabulous gardens with many recliners for guests to use. We never noticed them all being used so whatever time you arrive there will always be some available. As you can probably tell my wife and I were very impressed. We travel quite a bit and this hotel is definitely one of the best that we have stayed in.

Lovely hotel with a great location just outside of town so away from traffic and noise. The staff across the whole hotel were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The restaurants in the hotel were good and the food excellent.
I think the only thing I could fault was the member of staff running the preparation of freshly cooked eggs, I don't think she had heard of multitasking and a pleasant smile wouldn't have been too much to ask for.
