Amazing location. Great staff and a yummy breakfast. Modern rooms, very clean and an amazing rooftop pool with a gorgeous view over Funchal. I would stay here again.

Hugo and Gerati pair up to ensure this Hotel is run impeccably. Stayed with my wife for 4 nights in Feb 2024 (our second visit to this Hotel) and we had another amazing experience. We walked over to this hotel from the one we had booked months earlier. The other hotel tried to put us in a dirty, dated room in a fish restaurant, a block away from their hotel. We said no, and were left a bit stranded as a result. Luckily for us, the Pestana was happy to have us and provided a nice room to us that was actually located at their hotel location! The room was nice, and everything worked like it should.

Themed around Christiano Ronaldo, breakfast is very good quality and there is a huge selection. Rooms are very dark, no main light in the bedroom, cruise Ships dock right next to the hotel blocking out the sun on your balcony, and many drunk people making noise at night outside. Because prices are a bit highfor rooms and the fact my bedroom lock broke about 11pm and took about a hour to sort is the reason for the modest score.

A hotel you want to avoid. Noisy, worn out furniture and cold pool. No response to complaints. Staff is nice and breakfast is good.
