I wouldn’t recommend coming to this hotel. I will start with the positives and say that the room we had was very nice but we did get a free upgrade on arrival which was kind. However speaking to other people staying closer to the sea, the rooms were old and unsatisfactory. The swimming pool was great and the grounds in the hotel were well kept. The staff were very kind and helpful, no complaints towards them. However, the food was not good. It was mostly the same for the whole week we stayed there and just was bland. In the restaurant, there were multiple occasions that there was no cutlery, no glasses for drinks, no plates or tables. I completely understand when it’s busy but this was most days all at different times. Same with the bars, it was common to have to wait 5/10 minutes at the bar as there were no glasses. The alcohol drinks I don’t think had alcohol in them, you could drink and drink and not feel tipsy at all. The bartenders were very nice, especially if you tipped them. The lobby bar was the best one for the drinks and normally had glasses as it wasn’t that busy. The animation was poor. The team were friendly but especially in the evening it would be a half an hour disappointing show and then a few dances that they wouldn’t even invite people to join in, just watch them for 5 minutes. Then they would go around and ask people to come out to a club and pay 25 dollars for a transfer to a club. Or pay 7 dollars for a foam party on the beach that consisted of 30 mins of watching the animation team dance, a quick fire shows and a belly dancer. Things like that should be the standard not an extra. There was aqua gym and your normal volleyball but the evenings were just boring. We had a problem with a tour that was booked with a company on the hotel premises which turned out to not be what they sold us. It was a waste of a day and a 100 quid on a couple however after we told the hotel manager he did apologies and offered a different free tour which was nice. Overall, I would not come here again. There are so many better options for the price. Not all of it was bad, but a lot of the main things need to be improved to actually be a 5 star hotel.

The Hotel itself is excellent. It had big pools, great entertainment, a nice beach with corals, amazing food, amazing staff. The biggest let down is the rooms. A lot of the rooms look like they have not been updated since the 1970s. Not only this but they're very dirty and the cleaners don't clean whatsoever, despite getting left tips. I would say this is a 5 star resort, I'd give it 4 stars at best.

Our personal experience of this hotel and staff have been absolutely amazing. We have been so well looked after. As 2 women travelling on our own we have felt so safe. The staff, especially Nagy the security manager has gone above and beyond for us. The life guards, pool manager, reception staff have all been superb. The food is good, the activities are really good. The animation team have been amazing with us too. I really can’t fault this hotel at all and so pleased we chose to stay here. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Parrotel! The resort exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious and showcased authentic flavors, which might not cater to everyone’s palate ( white people) but was a highlight for me. I noticed some reviews criticizing the resort, but it’s clear that many visitors may not understand or appreciate the cultural differences. Ofcourse your alcohol service isn’t going to be the same as what you’re use to, it is a Muslim country after all. For those seeking a genuinely relaxing experience with great service and unique food, I highly recommend Parrotel. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Myself and my partner have just got back after spending the week here, and what an amazing holiday it has been! This was our first time in Egypt after always holidaying in Tunisia, we fancied a change, and this won't be the last time we visit Egypt ❤️ Our stay at parrotel was perfect, from arrival all the way through we had no issues at all, all the staff were amazing and on hand for anything you needed, I think it helps that me and my partner are always happy to speak to the staff and treat them with respect, a simple hello and politeness goes a long way people! Unfortunately on our holiday the hotel staff and management/ animation team had to deal with trouble making English people, as English people ourselves this was disappointing to see, but the staff and management were professional and sorted anything this couple tried to create issues with, which was amazing to see as it wasn't just the one time this couple caused trouble. The food was the best food we've had on holiday, fresh every day, beautiful salad bar, plenty to choose from, we LOVED the shawarma burgers! 😍 We also loved the themed nights and the efforts the staff went to for birthdays etc Our room was spotless and clean, no issues there, not very hot water but again, not an issue in 38° heat! 🤣 We loved the location, plenty of shops to look at, and barter if you're brave like my partner 🤣🙈 The pools were beautiful, greenery everywhere that was well kept, flowers, butterflies it was like an oasis! And you could tell the staff took pride in their work caring for the grounds 🙏 The beach was lovely, clear enough to see the fish 🐠🐟 just bring suitable footwear, or you can buy some from the shops etc For exertions we chose to swim with dolphins (INCREDIBLE) we also did the boat trip to White Island and ras mohammed with snorkeling/ diving included. One word, MAGICAL 🐠🐟🤯🪸 Seeing the fish and the coral reef was life changing, what a beautiful thing to witness 🙏💕 We also had a lovely massage in the spa with the butterfly wellness team 😍 A heartfelt Thankyou from myself and my partner, our stay was incredible from start to finish, we can't single out certain staff members as you were all incredible, We will see you again soon!
