Absolutely amazing stay. Highly recommend If you want to be near Stonestown. Grounds were immaculate, service top notch. Was upgraded to gorgeous terrace suite. Food delicious with fresh coconut juice as an option with extensive buffet. Loves their attached restaurant Beach House as well with great seafood and live music. We booked day trips from hotel and worked out well to see historical spots on Zanzibar. Overall luxurious stay that was comfortable and not pretentious!

Beautiful location, incredible service, and the warmest, kindest staff. Best breakfast you can find in the entire island (or probably continent… DELICIOUS!) It’s truly the best place to stay in Stone Town: right in the middle of the vibrant chaos, yet quietly hidden away. A real oasis of peace, while still deeply connected to the heart of the city. They upgraded us without even asking, the view of the room was incredible. Impeccable service and outstanding attention to detail. They even arranged drivers for us every night, making us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout our stay.

Amazing hotel with fantastic architecture, wonderful unique interior design, a great location walking distance to many interesting places, very good food, fantastic pool, etc. You won’t be disappointed. Just don’t expect any kind of room upgrade (even a tiny one with a better view) when you’re a Hyatt Gold Member. It apparently counts for nothing even when all kinds of better rooms are available through their website to book for the evening the night you’re staying there. In fairness to the hotel, Gold members aren’t entitled to room upgrades at the hotel’s discretion. Even so, Gold Members will be disappointed.

The room was great. It was clean. I stayed for 3 days. Since I checked in my room, I called the reception asking for someone to come fix the tv’s remote control as it was not working properly; however, no one cared to show for 3 days although I called 3 times asking for help and receptionist answering me was not talking in a nice way. Otherwise: - the breakfast was great - friendly staff (except the receptionist I called to fix the remote control) - room service food is ok (average to below average) - the spa is good - loved the view - near Forodhani park and wonder house - there is a good cafe nearby

Had an amazing stay a few years ago. The interior design was stunning, loved how airy and open it was with natural wood. The food was great, an extensive spread of fresh food in the mornings, I particularly loved the fresh coconuts. The views from our balcony faced the sea and I enjoyed watching daily life of locals swimming, exercising and simply walking along the beach.
