A very clean and well kept resort.
Very family friendly with great pool and entertainment options for families.
Our family room as perfect in terms of size and layout. Cleaned well every day.
Poolside staff was really attentive (ALFONSO is great) and I would say food was pretty good.
On allergy awareness, I would say this resort is doing somethings right but could do more. They ask for allergies when you arrive at each food outlet but don't actually do anything to manage it and food menus / buffet cards are not labelled with ingredients. Two examples for you:
At the breakfast buffet, my son frequently enjoyed the French toast. One morning, I saw it on the kids buffet side, so I grabbed him some. He was very close to taking a bite when I realized that particular tray used bread topped with sesame seeds.
I purposefully removed peanuts from our room and every day, they placed a new bag.
Overall it's a good resort and we would return.

We went with kids and had a wonderful experience! The day care was fantastic. We felt safe, the kids were reachable and staff very attentive in the pool and indoors. I loved how the staff went inside the pool and kept kids at arms reach. This gave us parents time to relax on our own, so a win for all!
At the concierge, the manager Jessica was supportive and attentive of our needs. We got a free upgrade! There was an issue with our check out, but Jess and the staff were reasonable and helped us through it. Great customer service.
Joel at the international buffet was a great server. Jesus at the bar made lovely cocktails and was super friendly at making conversation.
Just take your swim floaties as the resort doesn't provide it. Overall a very clean resort, excellent restaurant choices, good quality food and solid evening shows for entertainment!

We had a wonderful stay at Paradisus Playa del Carmen. All the employees were wonderful and very positive. Juan Carlos took wonderful care of us planning/making reservations for our dinners each evening. He touched base each day to let us know the daily activities. One evening we even came back to our room after an excursion to a bubble bath drawn and rose petals.
Plenty of options for swimming. Being in the Reserve section, there was a private pool, the adult only pool, the family pool, and the beach.
Many choices to choose from for your meals. I'm glad that Juan Carlos made our reservations each night so I didn't have to think or decide on which place to go to. Everywhere we went was delicious. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations.

We just came back from Paradisus last week and it was great! So many pools, activities, water parks, and great food! I would go back and recommend visiting. My only three critiques would be that the rooms aren't super luxurious which I think would've made me enjoy the trip a little more, and the beach was full of seaweed when we went. The resort staff work really hard to remove it all but it does just come back. I would've liked to swim in the ocean but it just wasn't nice enough in the area. Not really the resorts fault, just the location. And lastly as you've probably read in other reviews, most dinner reservations were for 9:30pm, with our two young kids that wasn't so fun. This resort was really great for kids, clean, great staff, and had a great experience otherwise. The value for the money and quality of resort was great, I'm sure you'd really enjoy your time there! Our family did :)

Paradisus did not disappoint. We were very happy with capella Italian restaurant. It will be missed. Gerardo our waiter went above and beyond. The managing staff always go out of their way to check in with us, and make sure that we are pleased. They also ask if they can improve on anything. That for me means a lot because they are really trying to give the best possible service. This fine dining restaurant is second to none my top favourite.
