Updated- after the review I was contacted by guest services to see what they could do to make my experience better. Hector was able to help us out with getting earlier reservations into a restaurant we wanted to try. The restaurant was great! I am sorry that was really the only night we were able to choose the restaurant of our choice at a better dinner time. It makes a difference having access to those experiences the resort has to offer. This was my first time at this resort, what I have come to find out is, when you book you want to be clear with your expectations on access to dinner reservations and room preferences. I am sorry it had to start with so much frustration but it has ended well. Thank you Hector for your time to make our last night at the hotel great.
I am here now, Family side. Bathrooms by the family pool are not kept up well. Common areas have visible wear and tear that does not appear to be kept up. The food situation is a BIG issue. You pay for all inclusive but can’t get any reservations anywhere out of the family friendly restaurants until 8:30 or later. How are you expected to make that work with little kids? Then you are stuck with the buffet. There is no access to any other dining. I called right when the guest services got in to make better time for dinner reservations- nope! Still 8:30 or later. restaurants seem to be empty, but still cannot serve you earlier. We went to Blue Agave first night. The hostess was rude and seemed to be annoyed that she had to work there. The server had no clue what she was doing, was unhelpful. Most of the food was the exact same we had at the buffet the night before, so not worth the wait.

Thank you to the beautiful people at Paradisus for making our experience super special. Our family is vegan and the staff went out of their way to make sure we always have something amazing to eat. They cooked special meals for us and everything was delicious. Special thank you to Daniel, all the chefs from the buffet, the chef Mijail, chef Rodrigo, the chef in the Lunch Box, Rebeca from the Italian restaurant and Hector from guest services ❤️ Also all the sweet hostesses and waiters in the buffet and the lunch box. We had such a great experience and it's all thanks to you! Really the best service I've seen anywhere. Of course the hotel is also great :) Beautiful shows, lots of activities for the kids like pools and a water park and a kids club. The beach was fun too on the days when it wasn't too windy.

This was our first time in Mexico and honestly it was a 10/10 experience. It all started at check in where Luis made sure we had the right room and all the amenities we needed to have a fabulous trip. He was so courteous and welcoming! Our concierge Jorge also went above and beyond to make sure everything we needed was taken care of. He was so great the entire stay!! The food and the beaches were the cherry on top. They had so many activities for the kids that they did not want to leave. Very family friendly and have something for adults also. Highly recommend anyone that wants to visit playa del Carmen should stay with Paradisus!

Checking out now. Paradisus saved our vacation. We originally booked 7 days at Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun. It was bad. After 2 days we checked out. Paradisus had a room and we booked it. The last 5 days have been fantastic. Great property. Great food. Great staff service. Great beach. Very clean. Tons of activities. The only single complaint - and it's common it seems - the AC in the rooms is cruddy, and it wasn't just our room. But, we will deal with it for the rest of the experience. We look forward to coming back!

It has been my first experience here and I was very happy with my experience — it exceeded my expectations! Love that the beach area preserved much of mangroves. Love that you can find a spot on the beach in the shade of native plants. Cabanas are integrated tastefully and delicately into the landscape. You can feel super intimate and engrossed in nature. It is the opposite from feeling a sardine in the row of beach chairs . I also adore the design inside the resort - many original, non trivial choices. Stuff is super friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Alberto was very willing to give me an individual salsa lesson and then shared some helpful tips about nightclubs in Playa del Carmen
