We couldn’t fault the hotel decor or cleanliness. All first rate. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate in all the restaurants with the exception of Lemon Fish. All were a pretty good standard. Peseta was probably the best in terms of food quality but we found the service there very slow. I think the exclusivity they’re trying to create with the Reserve would have been enhanced if the Reserve rooms would have been on dedicated floors. The Reserve pool area was a bit too small for the amount of Reserve guests. Also a Reserve bar area in the evening would have useful as Ginger gets very busy. Oh and the outdoor cinema on the Saturday evening was a real treat!

Our stay at Paradisus by Meliá in Gran Canaria was nothing short of extraordinary. The food was absolutely exceptional – every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. Whether at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the culinary experience consistently exceeded expectations. We stayed in a sea-view room, and it truly felt like a window to paradise. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and panoramic blue horizons was unforgettable.The gardens and pool areas are stunning – lush, meticulously maintained, and designed to create a feeling of tropical calm. A special mention goes to the incredible team. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. We can’t wait to return!

Excellent service. Calm beautiful surroundings. The highlight of our vacation was Isabel Florido from Baransu Studio and her excellent yoga and pilates sessions. She was more than excellent instructor. Her scientific knowledge on the background of every detail was amazing as well as how warmheartedly she encountered every single person. She arranged a personilized posture class for our family of five, ages from 24 to 82 yrs, and we enjoyed and benefitted it a lot. There are highquality hotels in many places but Isabel is the reason we will plan to come again to Paradisus by Melia Gran Canaria.

We stayed in October (during the English half term) in an ocean view junior suite. All in all it was a good trip, however there were a few things could be better. Pros Nice rooms, however the "open" style bath and shower was an interesting challenge with a 5yr old who likes to open curtains Amazing views, and very close to the beach. Would have been really good to have a private section of the beach or at least the opportunity to get a take away picnic/drinks from the hotel. Pool area - even with it being quite crowded, the pool area had ample space...people were reserving sun beds (from 7am!) however we always found space for the 3 of us. Service - everyone we encountered were lovely, really friendly and couldn't do more for you Kanna - best a la carte, but the buffet is still better. Cons Food - didn't think the food was that great, this is one of the first all inclusive resorts where the buffet restaurant had the best food offering. Generally all the a la carte offerings had strange menus with the exception Kanna. Service - we had considerable wait times for drinks/food which were not great. Maybe a staffing issue as it did feel there needed to be more people Melia Circle - having paid a considerable amount for the holiday, it was annoying to be approached by sales staff to join the Melia circle. The approach was strange "oh have you been here before? I have a welcome gift for you" and then proceeded with the sales pitch. Would I stay again? Probably not, I'd pay the additional and go for an Ikos resort.

Firstly, the room itself was of good quality and the wider facilities — including the gym, pool areas, and general surroundings — were all well maintained. The serving staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the entertainment team were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the sessions with Antonio and Stephan, who created a great atmosphere. However, there were several aspects of the stay that fell below expectations for a 5-star hotel. The hotel appeared noticeably understaffed. Despite the best efforts of the serving team, there were long waits for drinks and we often had to prompt for water. The reception experience was disappointing. We encountered two issues during our stay that should have been straightforward to resolve, but the attitude of some reception team members came across as unfriendly and at times passive-aggressive, which made the situations unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. There was a strong emphasis on upselling throughout the hotel. We were initially allocated a room with a very poor view of the car park, and many drinks we expected to be included were not. As vegetarians, the food options were very limited. Labelling in the buffet was unclear and often inaccurate, which made it difficult to identify suitable dishes. Overall, the hotel felt understaffed and did not offer the level of service or experience expected of a 5-star property. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not stay again.
