Pros - Initial room provided had a very strong damp smell coming through the A/C. We talked to reception and they immediately offered us a new (upgraded) room which was considerably better. - Staff were friendly and helpful - The pool area is large with lots of different areas and the swim up bar was nice - The view from our upgraded room was fantastic - Location was great if you want to be in the centre of everything - Balcony area was nice - Bed was nice and large Cons - Initial room smelt bad - Rooms were not deep cleaned - we ended up wiping down light switches and door handles that had clear imbedded dirt around them - Bedding was clean but stained as were some of the towels - Layout was appalling bad and inefficient and the room was very tired. Chipped faux wood panelling which was discoloured, old dirty siliconing etc. - Room servicing (cleaning) was nearly non existent and came at poor times (5pm) - Breakfast was bad, everything was in bulk & lacked finesse i.e just bulks jars of yoghurt, whole loaves of unsliced bread handled by previous guests, dry pastries etc. Only went on one day as it was quite unappealing. - Its quite loud at night because of the location - Pool could do with a deep clean (had a scummy water line) - We paid online through the website which listed “perks” like a welcome refreshment which was never offered. The general vibe wasn’t the level of luxurious you would expect given the price. Not only was the room dated but everything was very transactional and had a cheap feel. For example the “operating items list” displayed on a plaque in the room felt like a warning to be careful with the cheap wares they had spread around (like the hand soap dispenser). Pool towels had to be “signed in/out”. Cleanliness didn’t seem of top priority in any of the spaces. We ended up leaving two days early because we didn’t love the hotel or the area. We did ask if there were any partial refund options but our booking was non refundable so as expected there wasn’t (which is fine). Overall wouldn’t opt to stay here again. We think if the price was better we may have felt better about the state of the place but overall it felt overpriced for a cheap experience.

This is our second time staying at Panan due to how much we loved it the first time, and somehow, they superseded our expectations yet again! Facilities were fantastic as always, and the staff were that perfect balance of friendly yet professional, always going above and beyond to help you at any point that they can regardless of whether they actually need to. Cocktails in both pool bars were fantastic! Khet, Pim, and Best were super consistent and also so fun to chat throughout the day! May and Jah were superstars on the catamaran tour we attended with the hotel, and Sun from the rec team was always around to ask how our stay was going and offer advise on things to do in the area. We can't wait to visit again! For the price range, Panan is by far the best hotel to stay at in Ao Nang 🫶

Good stay overall! Pleasant and welcoming service, reasonable buffet breakfast. Good housekeeping. Pool's were nice and well maintained albeit rooftop a bit small but nice nevertheless. Yoga class and instructor was good and offered a good bit of enthusiasm for the morning. Would be a 5/5 if the small things were done well/better. I.e would've been nice to have a water or hydration station in the lobby and would've been nice if was offered a menu to order food or drinks when by the pool (didn't happen at all over 4 days), Would've been good to have been offered the complimentary welcome drink rather than awkwardly ask for it. Would still recommend this place as location is just a short stroll to cafes, restaurants, the beach, massage places etc

Krabi resort goes above and beyond with their hospitality. The staff are friendly and helpful. I had a massage and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had (and I’ve had several because I deal with chronic pain). The cocktails were delicious. Housekeeping was also great! The only issue I had was with my internet connection-sometimes it wouldn’t work, otherwise I have no complaints at all!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay very enjoyable. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, with a convenient bar that catered to all our needs. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning, and our room was spacious, clean, and offered a fantastic view from the balcony. The only minor issue was that the bar fridge in our room was a little small for our needs. Overall, we highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again!
