The hotel is very nice, excellent location, very good breakfast and friendly staff. But there’s a couple of limits you should be aware of, if you’re travelling with a toddler. The hotel offers kids activities, but only for kids aged 5+, which wasn’t too clear on the website. Other resorts let toddlers join their miniclubs with one parent, whereas here if you have a 3 year old there are just no activities. If you opt for a premium suite, you would have access to the rooftop pool, which is nice and not so crowded, but it’s adults-only. With a toddler, you’ll have to go for the other pools, but there the number of sunbeds is way undersized compared to the hotel guests. The hotel tries to manage that with fair and reasonable rules (if you occupy a sunbed, you can’t walkaway for more than 15 minutes before 10.45, or for more than 60 minutes after that). If you’re running around with a toddler though, that means you often won’t find a sunbed, and if you do you’ll have a hard time to keep it. At 400€ per night for the premium suite I would have expected a simpler experience. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for couples without kids. If you have toddlers, be ready for some extra effort to access the pools and manage your day, and avoid the premium suites, as the extra price will be quite wasted. Also, when I booked it, the hotel was still appearing as “affiliated by Melia”, and today it’s still reported as such in some outdated websites. But it’s not anymore part of Melia, so you will not get Melia Gold points or benefits here.

We stayed here for three days as part of a tour group from Gate 1. Unbelievably, the room they provided was so economical. The room had no decorations whatsoever; it felt like being in a motel, not a four-star hotel. The ceiling was very low, and there was a large pillar in the middle of the room, giving it a basement feel. Other services and facilities were just average; nothing special was worth mentioning.

We are staying at this wonderful hotel on the beach for 3 weeks. I have been very impressed with the quality and variety of foods offered at the buffets. Bienvenido has done a magnificent job planning and executing a delightful offering at each breakfast, lunch and supper buffet. Minor negatives would be no coffee machines are operational at lunch or dinner and many vegetable dishes are overcooked. Some crunchy asparagus and broccoli would be nice options to include. Francisco oversees the buffet staff with efficiency and speed. The friendly and conscientious servers work very hard to ensure plates are cleared in a timely manner and everyone's needs are fulfilled. All the staff at the hotel are very attentive, polite and focused on making your stay with them memorable. Sergio was attentive and prompt in serving us drinks at the bar. The nightly live entertainment is excellent but begins too late. An 830 or 9pm start would be more favorable as many of the guests are seniors and retirees who have early morning excursions. The performers are all gifted musicians and artists which is rare to find at any given resort. The proximity of the hotel to restaurants, shopping, the beach and local transport is ideal. The rooms are spacious and clean. We are in building one on the second floor and Carmen did an excellent job in keeping our room clean and supplied with the essentials. The sofa is not the most comfortable and the TV has very few English speaking stations. Pack a couple face cloths and you will have all you need. Irons are available upon request. The wifi reception is excellent throughout the hotel grounds. The gym is reasonably equipped. More 5 and 10lb weights and an additional recumbent cycling bike would be nice . The one heated pool is too cool to swim in presently and more people would use it if the temperature was increased. An addition of one ice machine in the hotel somewhere would be a nice amenity. It is great to see elevators and chair lifts to accommodate less mobile guests . I am thoroughly enjoying my stay here and will definitely return!

Room: Lacking attention to detail, could benefit from renovation and more style. That said, everything was functioning properly. The mattress was very comfortable, with a good selection of pillows and clean, crisp bed linen. Noise: Soundproofing seems poor — conversations in the corridor or outside can sound like they’re happening in your room. Positive: The room is spacious. At checkout, the hotel offered a 30-minute courtesy room as my flight was in the evening, which was appreciated. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant, welcoming, and genuinely willing to help. Strong 10/10 for customer service. Morning class: One session was held indoors in the main bar area with dirty floors, likely from the previous night. Someone was mopping very close by, which made it unpleasant. There was no music, and the overall atmosphere wasn’t great. However, the trainer, Carlos, was excellent and explained every exercise clearly. Another session by the pool was much better, in a cleaner and more enjoyable environment. Food: Dinner is served until 21:30. I arrived at 21:00 and found very little food left — quite disappointing. I didn’t go hungry, but the quality wasn’t great. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. Lunch was similar to dinner — not great. If staying again, I would opt for breakfast only. Beach: Located next to the hotel but not private. The sand is dark but soft. Sun loungers cost €8 per day — not new, but they have thick mattresses, making them very comfortable. No hotel spa, but there are beach massage services available. A back and neck massage was €20. Ironing: Laundry service takes up to 48 hours, which is quite long. However, reception quickly resolved this by providing an iron and ironing board. Overall: I might come back, but only with breakfast option next time.

Had a great short break at the Ocean House. We stayed in a Premium room marina view on the 9th floor. Lovely view and great for sunrise and sunset views! Service was excellent throughout our stay. Great choice of food at the breakfast buffet. Location was perfect, being only a few minutes walk to the marina and an amazing choice of bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!
